Chapter 41: Snitches Get Stitches
(Beth’s POV)
Once in the car, Griffin turns to me, “Here’s the game plan. We are leaving Chicago asap and never coming back if possible. Anthony has decided to run his other Chicago store from another state. Too much bullsh*t happens in this d*mn city. He told me you can pick where we go next if it is as far away from Chicago as possible.”
I nod and frown, “Is this my fault?” I didn’t mean to do anything. I wanted my friend back and I now realize this was a bad idea from the start. I know that her dad is a huge influence on every choice she’s ever made in life. I knew that and yet I still wanted to see her.
