The door opened to reveal Edna and I fought the urge to flinch at her appearance. She looked so small and weak. While better than earlier, her skin was still pale and the dark eye bags gave her eyes a tired expression. Her eyes, now a dull red, widened with worry when she discovered it was me and she feebly wrapped the black robe around her frail frame.

Edna lowered her head and nodded, opening the door even wider to let me in.
