|NOVEL UNDER RECONSTRUCTION. DO NOT READ YET| "It was never a bright idea to deceive a vampire. Yet, she did it anyway." Human enslavement at the hands of vampires has been long abolished... for the most part. The two races now live in different regions and keep to themselves. But when Hiln falls on hard times, she masks as a lower ranking vamp and finds herself working within the castle walls of the highest ranking vampire nobles. Things seem to go well until Hiln unknowingly catches the attention of one of these Lords. And nothing will prepare her for the desire and chaos that is to follow. DISACLAIMER: The cover art doesn't belong to me
¬ HILN
The moment the King and Queen left the upper hall, a strange calm hung in the air, a stark contrast to the chaos pulsating below.
I remained still, a near-invisible presence amidst the fixated gazes trained on the long dining table as if they were waiting for something.
Fashire picked his hat from the floor and deftly positioned it on his head. The grandeur at which he straightened his blood-streaked attire froze me in place.
Aside from the bleeding, he appeared unscathed, brushing off the King's display of power and authority as if it had been something trivial. His gestures held power I hadn't noticed, and every being in that hall was aware of it.
The meaning behind this current scenario terrified me. What if Fashire was stronger than the King? The vampires clearly regarded him as their ruler, not even bothering to rise when the King and Queen departed.
