|NOVEL UNDER RECONSTRUCTION. DO NOT READ YET| "It was never a bright idea to deceive a vampire. Yet, she did it anyway." Human enslavement at the hands of vampires has been long abolished... for the most part. The two races now live in different regions and keep to themselves. But when Hiln falls on hard times, she masks as a lower ranking vamp and finds herself working within the castle walls of the highest ranking vampire nobles. Things seem to go well until Hiln unknowingly catches the attention of one of these Lords. And nothing will prepare her for the desire and chaos that is to follow. ¬ HILN
I have been so foolish. My lips tilted upwards in a faint smile as Becca assisted me in packing my things.
"How long exactly will you be gone for?" May asked, fiddling her fingers at her stomach.
Saffire was out with her Lord and I had been wallowing in my sorrows when May found the books in my possession. Becca and Saffire still don't know about the information I had gleaned from Strome, it would be too much. As the more I came to know, the more bleak and hopeless the future seemed.
But to my surprise and shock, May recognised the texts of the books. She didn't understand the language, but it was very familiar and she had mostly come across it in her homeland, Egypt.
It wasn't a common language. In fact, it was very scarce due to its complexity. But her late mother, who had been a high-ranking government official had taken May to her workplace a few times where she had seen the texts.
