Chapter 42

Kumurada, recently stuck in juvenile detention due to harassment and assault/battery. Someone who had a long history with Koryu and Yuta.

Kumurada: "What, starstruck to see me out of juvie 'Tokyo's Winter'?!"

Koryu just stood there, his red eyes piercing into Kumurada's brown. Before Koryu had met Yuta and his main group of friends he ran with a pretty bad crowd. Gaining the title of 'Tokyo's Winter' due to being the only one in the group to have a devil contract.

Koryu: "I don't have time to deal with you."

Koryu turned and began to walk away, not wanting to bring up the past or his old actions.

Kumurada: "Oh so that bitch of yours made you soft huh? 'B-b-b-but I can't be doing this in front of Yuta!'" He taunted Koryu, trying to get him riled up like his old self quoting what he said "that slut really did change you,"

That was enough for Koryu to turn around clenching his fist. Did he really want to go back to his old self?

Koryu: "shut up."

Kumurada: "Why? So you can just continue with your perfect little life after you sold all of us out!"

What would you do in Koryu's situation back then, continue to ruin your life with a group of borderline criminals, or change that by sacrificing them.

Koryu: "I did what I had to so I wouldn't end up like you! Who gave a shit about you or our group. NOBODY DID! We all had nowhere else to go and so we turned to each other. I was done with that.

A fist came flying directly at Koryu's face but it was predictable enough so the Koryu moved out of the way and gripped the fist and twisted it behind Kumurada's back. Once behind him he kicked Kumurada to the floor putting his shoe to his head.

Koryu: "I told you, I'm done."

Koryu stepped off of Kumurada leaving him on the floor. Not a good idea. Getting right back up, Kumurada lunged at Koryu, getting a good upper cut on him and throwing him into a stone wall.

Coughing Koryu tried to regain his balance before getting sweeped in the legs falling to the floor

Kumurada: "How does it feel then! Being able to live out your life perfectly. WITH THE GIRL I WANTED?!" He kicked Koryu in the stomach, taking out his years of anger on him. "Right, cause it's okay if YOU did all that. Youre so much more important than all of us."

Out of breath and weak, Koryu grabbed onto the ankle of Kumurada and dragged him down forcing him to be unbalanced. Wiping his lip 'tokyo's winter' stood back up breathing heavily while Kumurada was on the floor. Extending a single finger his nail disappeared as the head of velkahana materialized behind him.

Koryu: "you know nothing about me. Who I've become and the bonds I've made. They're more important than you ever will be."

Koryu wasn't going to kill him. No, just simply show that he wasn't afraid to use Velkahana if he needed to. The icy dragon roared before opening its mouth charging up a ray of frost. Though, before it could fire Kumurada had already ran away fearing for his life. There was no way he could come back with more of his gang as most of them were in actual prison for things far worse. Koryu at the time, was the youngest in that group only being 15 not fully understanding the severity of his actions, but he wasn't part of it for long, only for about a year before selling everyone out. Breathing out heavily, Koryu sniffed trying to stop blood from his nose dripping onto the floor. He jumped and began to sit on top of the stone wall trying to catch his breath after such a fight. Though, he heard a somewhat familiar voice.

???: "aggravated assault, battery, assault with deadly weapon, theft. Man, how did you get roped in with someone like that"

It was Ryuki, on his way home from the courthouse with a plastic bag from a convenience store and a popsicle in his hand

Ryuki: "you want some?" gesturing to the ice cream.
