OUT OF THE GOWN

(POV Amanda)

"Thank you for taking me home."

He smiled.

I walked to the gate, took off the lock and got in. Should I ask him to come in? Will he take it the other way?

" Want to hope in?" I tried to make it as cool as possible.

"It's late. Maybe a day with brighter lights?" He laughed as he spoke.

" Mmm, brighter lights? Let's see." I laughed it out and waved him a 'bye'.

He waved back and walked to his house at the end of the street.

" Lian Smith! Better than Lijah Virchy for sure." I heard mom from the window.

No one is better for me than Lijah Virchy, I whispered to myself and walked up to my room.

" Amanda." She called from behind.

" Yes Mom."

" How was it?" She asked.

" I saw that 'crown'!!! " She continued with excitement.

" Is it for Miss Vinlex or Queen Vinlex?" She continued.

" Queen Vinlex."

She was more excited than I was to hear that. She smiled for a long second and spoke,

" Go take a bath and come down."

I rushed up to the room, locked the door and threw my crown on to the bed.

I had enough for today! I took a towel and rubbed it against my face, looking at the mirror.

My hair was a total mess and my face looked pale. It's true that your mental state reflects your physical state.

I got out of the gown and threw myself on the bed with full comfort. Then I slowly rested my back on a pillow.

" Mom can you get me a cup of tea?" I shouted from the room.

"Come down, I can't hear you." She screamed back.

She is lying! She can hear me. She is just lazy. I got into my night wears and then took the long piece of cloth from under the bed and tied it on to the window with a rope. I held on it tightly and slid down.
