Garden Of Roses

" Do you hate me?" She asked looking at me. That question broke my heart. When the person you love the most asks you that, it hits different.

" I would never."

But still deep inside I couldn't accept that my girl is a murderer. I never knew she is capable of killing a soul.

" Let's go inside, you'll catch a cold if you stay in rain for long." She said.

Both of us ran back to my house all drenched in rain. After getting in, we wiped our hair with a towel and walked upstairs to my room. Now I had the atmosphere to ask her more about it.

" Amanda, what did you do with his body?"

" I buried him behind the garden of roses."

Woah! That garden got a Disney kind of name.

" Where is that?" I asked as I've never heard about such a garden.

" It's in his backyard." She said looking out the window. I understood that she is so not ready to face me. But I must say I am flattered by the idea of burying the person in his own place.

I can picture the scene of his parents sitting on the couch and crying about their son while their son is lying maybe 20 feet far.

" Mmmmh, any possible evident that you left?" I asked to reduce the chances of getting caught.

" No, everything is cleared. I even washed the shovel that used for digging, dried it and kept it back from where I took it."

Is she proud of the mess she made? She sure sounds like it.

" And I am not proud of it Lijah. I really regret it, but the decisions that we take on top of anger are always the stupidest decisions ever and I understood it now. I just wish I could travel back to the past and never go to that party." She spoke still facing the window.

Those words came straight from her heart and I knew it. I don't know how or why but, I can feel her, I totally get the stress and pressure she is going through.

" But Li, I can never pull of something like that without leaving any proofs." She said now looking at me.

" Yeah, there must be something that you left." I thought about all the ways but the cops will never check his own place and besides they are never going to dig up the ground.

Sirens were again heard. My heart raised fast I heard those sirens.

" Why are the officers here again?"

" I don't know." She said looking so scared and her face changing into a cherry red color. Her hands were slightly shaking too.

" There is nothing to be afraid of as long as I am here with you. No one will find out about this and even if they get any clues, I will take the whole responsibility, so never be afraid of anything. As long as you love me and I love you, there is nothing that will ever stop us. You might think that this is your mess but believe me when I say ' we are in this together'. " I said, holding on to her shoulders tightly with a kiss on her forehead to comfort her.
