A MAN WITH A PLAN

After the classes, we both walked together to his house. On the way from school to his house, he didn't utter a single word. I didn't know what to think. He walked straight to his room and I followed him.

" What is wrong?" I asked as he was silent all along.

He still remained silent and acted as if he was busy cleaning his desk.

I raised my voice and walked near to him,

" Is there any issue?"

He turned and stared at me.

" You 'are' the issue." He said. It felt exactly like an electric shock hitting my heart.

It's strange that my eyes filled up out of nowhere. My body was suddenly aching and I didn't know what to do or say.

" I am so sorry Li." That was the only sentence that came up.

" I never thought I would be a headache to you." I continued looking straight into his eyes.

" That's not what I meant. I mean, I am sorry Amanda. I am not able to sleep, and at the same time I am not able to be 'alive'. It's just too much happening around. Even though I got a plan, I am not at all sure than we can pull it off. " He spoke.

It felt so relieving to hear his voice after long.

" Oh I am really sorry that I pushed you into this."

It felt exactly like, you don't want him to get included but there is no way that you can cover this up without him. I needed him. It was my need! But I am not using him to cover my mess, I really love him and there is a misleading feeling inside me which says ' It's his responsibility to save me out of this because he is my....' Uhh I don't know. I know that he must not be responsible for my actions but it just feels like he is responsible too.

" Here goes our plan.." He spoke.

I nodded my head and listened closely.

" Amanda, you are his girlfriend in their eyes, so you can get in his house but I cannot. If I go to meet his family, then their suspicions about me will only increase. So here is what we are going to do, you go in there again to meet them and show interest in how much you would love to move that garden of roses as you were well aware that he hated roses. Just act like you loved him for long and you care so much about moving that stupid garden. "

I listened with my full focus as he continued,

" You go there and suggest that you will take care of that matter. Just tell this to that grandma because she is never going to suspect you. The next day I'll come with my uncle to move the garden from there with a truck and I'll move his body into the truck. There are walls around the garden so no one is going to see me moving the dead body."

" What about your uncle? He will see you moving the body." I asked.

" He is an alcoholic, so I know how to take care of him." He spoke with confidence.

" I believe in you." I replied. I can never ever let him down.

" Wait, the police will see you get in there. That house is revolved with cops."

" A worker's yellow dress, a cap, specs with a dust repellant mask and that old lady's recommendation should do the magic." He replied.

I had my hopes up when I heard his plan. Even though it sounds cinematic, maybe this will work.

" Thanks for this, Li" I spoke walking closer to him.

" As I told you, we are in this together. Your problem is my problem too Amanda, so, come on give me a kiss." He said with a smile.

" Kiss, huh?"

I wrapped my hands around his neck and leaned closer. His lips are fantasy!
