CHAPTER 13

Clara and Valentina we're in the car and It was nothing but silence, the atmosphere was already getting thick and Clara couldn't bare it much longer.
"So you meeting Antonio Amatucci" Clara said trying to ease the situation.
"Yeah" Valentina said bluntly.
"Okay cool, as long as u safe no problem" Clara said smiling.
"Of course I'm safe, no need to worry okay" Valentina said smiling.
"Antonio is a sweetheart, and he's basically like a brother to me. We've been inseparable since we we're just kids and our families have been great friends, so yeah he's trustworthy" Valentina smiling at Clara.
"Brother huh, Does he see you as a sister though or something else, probably something more" Clara said staring Deeply into Valentina, but Valentina looked away.
"If he does see me as something more, he could try his luck. But the way I see him will never change" Valentina said.
"Well I sure hope he realizes that, it wouldn't be fair if he got hurt trying to win u. After all u love someone else" Clara said now facing her tablet.
"True but the person doesn't, so why should I even try" Valentina said looking sad.
"Hey you are Valentina Russo daughter of Vittorio And Laura Russo, Quiting isn't in your blood" Clara said only for Valentina to chuckle.
"I get it my father has quite the reputation" Valentina said smiling.
"Yeah he does, but what I really admire him for, is fighting for the woman he loved. We both know your mother didn't love your father at first, but what happened? He managed to make her Love him with everything she has, and I gotta say it's pretty awesome" Clara chuckled, Making Valentina raise her eyebrow.
"So what's your point here" Valentina asked puzzled.
"Simple you are his daughter and I expect u to never give up on whom u love, after all it takes time to fully let the other party understand and value the other. All you need is time and patience" Clara said making Valentina think deeply.
"Remember the saying. ★ ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY ★ " Clara said and continued to swipe through some important information on her Tablet.
"Thank you Clara, I really needed to hear that" Valentina said while smiling cheerfully.
"No problem, anything for a sister from another mother of course" Clara said and Valentina burst out laughing.
"Miss Russo we have arrived at the Cafe" The driver said snapping both Valentina and Clara.
"Ohh I see, well I best be off now" Valentina said leaving the car.
"Take care" Clara said and Valentina at her.
The car was gone and out of sight, Valentina turned around to see the Cafe. ★ BROWN'S BREW ★.
Valentina hummed to herself and entered the cafe. The atmosphere was perfect and the scent of Coffee was the first thing she noticed. She felt relieved entering the cafe, and was impressed with the decor and also style of Coffee.
She was looking around, when she saw a man waving at her, at the Cozy corner of the place, which she assumed was for special guests in other words VIPS. She approached him and she was Engulfed by a hug from him.
"It's so good to see you again" The man said making Valentina smile.
"Same here Antonio" Valentina said removing herself from the hug, she used her time to size Antonio Amatucci.
Antonio Amatucci is had a perfect Chisel Face, his hair is dark brown made in a perfect way, he's Clothes was of the best Full Black suit on, but the three buttons open revealing his nice Skin tone. And his muscles was quite known and he held a perfect Childish smile on his face. He would be the perfect man for Valentina if she didn't already have feelings for Salvatore.
"Wow you look even handsome from the last time I saw u" Valentina said making Antonio blush but he hid it, with a smile.
"And you look more beautiful than the last time I saw you too" Antonio said looking at Valentina with a smile.
"Well that's expected after all" Valentina said.
Antonio immediately guided Valentina to their special seats, away from Prying eyes and of course possible spies.
"So what you been up to since you came to New York" Valentina asked Antonio, while taking a sip of the coffee already lay for both of them.
"Hmm this coffee is quite good" Valentina moaned in pleasure while sipping her coffee.
"Of course it is, it's your favorite kind, that's why I own this place to make you the best coffee, and of course" Antonio paused Bringing out a well covered package from under the table.
Valentina was taken back by the surprise.
"What's this, u didn't have to bring anything u know" Valentina said sizing the Package.
"Well I clearly did, Open it" Antonio said cheerfully and Valentina Opened the package surprised by what she saw.
It was packed with Macroons, different flavors and colors. With chocolate chip cookies packed by the side.
"Awwwn Antonio you really shouldn't have, now I feel bad I didn't get anything for you" Valentina said now feeling down, Antonio noticed this and immediately try changing the mood.
"Hey it was a surprise gift, and I don't mind you didn't get me anything. Seeing you again is a great gift to me already" Antonio said while holding Valentina hands and smiling sweetly at her.
Any girl would have easily melted over Antonio charms, but Valentina wasn't any girl she got her priorities straight. She saw what Antonio truly held in his eyes, and she felt bad not feeling the same way but she's not gonna lead him on, knowing it will do nothing but hurt him.
"So you still haven't answered my question, what have you been up to since you arrived in New York" Valentina said in a more serious tone, while closing the box full of cookies.
Antonio felt bad Valentina removed her hands from his, but sensing her serious tone he saw nothing to hide from her.
"Nothing much, just business that's all" Antonio said bluntly while sipping his coffee.
"Business like what exactly" Valentina asked sternly.
"You know the normal kind, like this cafe and of course the Mafia. And I have new information regarding Ubermto De Luca" Antonio said making Valentina look intensely at him.
"And what if it" Valentina asked.
"Nothing much but Apparently his real kids are here, and you might be surprised they are a lot closer than you expected" Antonio said making Valentina frown.
The Amatucci family has been friends with the De Luca for a years, and nothing has ever broken that bond. Until Ubermto De Luca decided to rule the Empire for himself, when he clearly didn't have the De Luca blood in his veins. Ubermto De Luca greed made him immediate enemies with a lot of Mafia families, which included The Russos and The Amatucci family, and others. But while he has enemies, he also has allies that agree with his way of ruling the Mafia.
Valentina was sent by her Vittorio Russo to assist Salvatore in taking down Ubermto De Luca, for he has been nothing but a nuisance to the Mafia, of course Valentina has been trained since birth. She might show it but she's a high skilled killer and no one dares cross her, the same goes for Antonio but his main reason for coming to New York wasn't just to take Ubermto De Luca down, but also win Valentina heart.
"What do you mean they are closer than expected" Valentina asked Antonio.
"Well apparently his kid is a high business man, and well known too. I don't know his name and his sister name for now though, but it won't be long before I do though" Antonio said firmly.
"Good if we can know his kids, we'll be able to know more" Valentina said Indifferently.
Valentina maintained her expression after a while, but she changed it to a cheerful expression after sipping her coffee. Her smile was beautiful Antonio couldn't help but stare and admire her beauty. Valentina noticed this and looked at him questionly.
"Hmm yeah, how is Salvatore and Clara, I heard Luna and her cousin his here too" Antonio said
"Yeah they are and they have been helpful, plus good too they are like family to me" Valentina said happily.
"What about Salvatore who is he to u" Antonio asked knowing he might have crossed the line,but he didn't care at the moment.
"For now Salvatore is a friend and business partner at the moment" Valentina said making Antonio frown.
"For now" Antonio questioned.
"Yes for now" Valentina said Indifferently.
"And what's that suppose to mean" Antonio Asked trying to subdue his rage.
Valentina smiled she was about to talk but received a call from Luna.
"Hello what's up" Valentina said while Antonio looked at her.
"Hmm okay then I will be right there" Valentina said and hang up the call.
"Is everything okay" Antonio asked with a worries face.
"Yeah everything is fine, Luna just needs me urgently. Sorry but I have to go now my ride is already here anyways" Valentina said standing up and about to leave.
"Hey don't forget your gift" Antonio said cheerfully and Valentina laughed.
"Wow I almost forgot about it, thank you again" Valentina said and kissed Antonio on the cheek.
"See you soon Antonio" Valentina said and left the Cafe and entered the car waiting for her.
"See you soon too, probably sooner than expected" Antonio said as he watched the car drive off out of his sight.
Antonio smile looking at Valentina cup, but immediately frown after hearing what she said about Salvatore.
"Sorry Valentina but Salvatore will remain a friend to you, cause only I can have u and I don't mind getting rid of anyone to accomplish that" Antonio said and stood up, going to his car and drove off.
Not far from a distance someone came out of the shadows, and took out their phone.
"Yes they met each other and they already left" The person said on the phone and hummed to the other person's response.
The person left within the alley not to be seen by anyone.
