Chapter 5: A Kid?

The next morning when I woke up I was surprised when I saw the Swan yesterday, looks like its here to have some of my fruits again

I took one fruit and then gave it to the swan, after that i began my meditation I summoned my sword and shield and began to cultivate

after a while I felt the swan flew away, I didnt sense any kind of danger, looks like that swan really liked the fruits that I have, I wonder what's with this fruits

As usual my time is consumed in meditating and searching for a sparring partner in the woods, I really want to go inside the inner part of the forest but Grandpa Sword said I should not go inside till I didnt have a 3rd spirit ring, I'm a good kid and I dont like troubles so I'm not going to enter the inner part

As I walk on the grassy part of the forest I saw a blurr shadow approaching me, I quickly summoned my Sword out, when the shadow stopped its figure become clear, it was a thousand year old White Tiger, and by the looks of its black stripes on its body it was close to evolving, this is a perfect sparring partner for me

I looked at the tiger in front of me, the tiger is doing the same its looking at me vigilantly, I never thought that a beast will be this cautious, all the beast I met in the past will always pounce on me whenever they saw me

"If your not going to attack then pardon me" I said, then I charged directly to the tiger

With my full strength I slashed my sword down, the tiger Claw began to light up then my sword and its claw met, I jumped back, and I saw the tiger's claw in blood

"Its your fault for understamating me" I said then I rushed to him again, this time I used my 1st spirit ring skill, The Tiger is ready too its body is full of thunder and it rushed to me

"Annahilation Slash!"

A loud explosion can be heard on our clash, I flew away and had to tumble down to balance my body from the recoil of our clash

when the dust and smoke is gone I saw the Tiger bloodied, the tiger looks tired then after a second it got knocked out

Luckily for this tiger I dont need its spirit soul so I left it alone, theb I resumed exploring the forest until its dark

My days are monotonous here luckily the green swan always visits me when morning comes

7 months later

"Yes!" I said then I excitedly stood up waking the swan beside me

"atlast I broke throught to Rank 30, Its time for me to search for a suitable spirit beast, I already have my plan for my third spirit ring I only hope that I can kill the beast" I said, then I took out a fruit, I harvested from the forest yesterday and gave one to the swan

"Hey little swan, do you know where I could find an Emerald Demonic Bird?" I said to the swan, This little green swan is not that simple, it is intelligent enough to now what I am saying and for the past months it is the one who was helping me to find suitable spirit beasts to spar

The Swan nodded and it pointed its wings on the south direction, where the inner part of the forest is

"uh but you know there are strong spirit beast there, its too dangerous for me to go and enter there alone" I said to the swan then it pointed on another direction

"are you sure? there is a demonic bird on that part of the forest? " i said the swan just nodded

"Okay, Its time for my training now you can wait me here again tonight bye bye and be careful, specially of humans, they might attack you and make you their spirit ring" I said to the swan before walkkng towards the part of the forest it pointed me

I keep walking west, but after 2 hours there is no sign of the demonic bird, but the population of flying type spirit beast here are dense, sadly I dont need them, What I needed is the emerald demonic bird

*boom!*

Suddenly I heard sounds of explosions and trees being destroyed I hurriedly ran towards where the sound came from to see what is happening

When I saw the scene I was surprised, it was the bird that I was looking for but the bird is not alone, It was attacking a kid, a little girl to be specific

I didnt think twice i hurriedly arrived to the front of the girl and summoned my Nine headed devourer shield (I changed its name) to block the attack of the bird

The beast strength was terrifying, It must be atleast a 30,000 year old spirit beast

I looked at the girl behind me, and said

"You better run, run eastward and escape this forest, I dont know if I can defeat this beast on my own!" I said to her

"Brother I'm a spirit master too, I can help you fight it" she said

I looked at the front and dodged the attack of the bird and slashed its body, the bird shriek but my attack only did a straight white line on the bird

"What can you do?" I said to the girl

"I'm a healing type spirit master, I can heal your wounds and boost your fighting prowess" she said

Then she summoned her flute with an emerald swan on its markings and she got 2 spirit tings too, one of them is yellow and one is purple, I looked at the girl and she looks like she is the same age as me, looks like there is many genius in this world

Then her two spirit rings lit up, and I can feel the fatigue vanishing from my body and I felt energize what a strong spirit tool

The emerald demonic bird is impatient, it quickly arrived at me again, Luckily my body is strong enough to receive its impact, and I'm fast enough to react on its attack

Now with the help of the girl's buff I can finally beat this bird

As i dodged the birds attack I quickly jumped above and attack its neck my two spirit rings lit up using my 2nd spirit skill, Open Wounds to buff my penetration damage and lethality of my attack, and my sword domain, I launched a devastating blow to the bird's neck

The Bird cried and I can already see its bone on its open wound, Blood is conginuosly dripping down from it

The bird slammed to the ground struggling to fly again

With the chance given I quickly dashed to its side and pour all my sword intent on my sword, I smashed my shield on its head and stabbed my sword on its open wound

After a while the bird stoped moving and a black spirit ring came out of its body

"Do you need this beast's spirit ring?" I asked the girl

"No I dont need it, the demonic bird attacked me because I entered on its territory, also thank you for saving me my name is Bing Bing" she said

"well then I will absorb it, thank you for helping me deal with this bird I need its spirit ring after all, also can you guard me for a while?" I said

"Okay no problem, I need to rest too for a while" she said I just nodded to her then I started to absorb the spirit ring but I didnt let my guard down, I used my sword domain the whole time

Then after 1 hour I fully absorbed the ring, I broke through to rank 34, then I looked at its corspe and I found a spirit bone, looks like it was a Left leg spirit bone

"You cab have the spirit bone too, I dont need attack based spirit bones" The girl said

" Thank you very much, I wish I can repay you in any kind?" i said

"You can absorb the spirit bone first then we can talk" The girl said, so i began to assimilate yhe spirit bone

After 30 mins I'm finally done then I looked at the girl who is in deep meditation, looks like I can trust her

Then I waited for her to finish her meditation, its already begining to get dark when she woke up

"come on lets leave this place first we can talk on my resting place, its already getting dark its not safe here" I said, the girl just nodded then she quickly followed me
