the true potential of the fabricating skill (EDITED) (chapter 5)

"Nice, just 6 more levels before I reach the limit for my current subclass," Asher muttered, pleased with his progress. Suddenly, his phone rang, displaying the caller ID as "Thomas the Brute." With a groan, Asher reluctantly answered, "Yo, Thomas, what's up?"

"Where is it?" Thomas demanded, his voice filled with urgency.

"What do you me--" Asher began, only to be cut off abruptly.

"Where are my things, Asher? I swear to fucking god, I will slice you like a dice if you don't bring your ass here right now" Thomas threatened.

"sure, I'll be there," Asher moaned, hanging up the telephone. " right, like I'll be there," he thought to himself with a chuckle. He then looked around his work area and wondered, "You know what? i just had a good idea" as he laughed with a malicious smile, he checked out his refuge, taking a few throws out, and other unusable things as he, "this is the best use of this fabricating skil" as he enacted his mana, prior to utilising the expertise, he then transformed a rusting metal plate into a few screws, nuts, chains, plate nuts, and lines nuts, even a drone house case.

The following 2 minutes where just him fabricating the things he might need, before his mana ran out as asher gazed at his recently created things, "this is definitely the best use of this skill" as he sat tight for 5 minutes, before the cooldown was finished. The things produced through this skill, although the source material was just a rusted metal plate, was actuall shining, "like they were just fabricated" he chuckled to himself as he understood the name.

Realising the potential of the skill, asher smile widened as he though, "maybe i should break in into a junkyard" while he continued to chuckle like a mad man.

Asher stepped out of the hideout, firmly closing the door behind him. As he took a few steps away from the entrance, a sudden realisation struck him. "Motion sensors," he exclaimed, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "I can map out this entire sewer system and set up sensors to alert me of any unwanted guest," he reasoned, his mind buzzing with possibilities. The gears in his head continued to turn, generating ideas. "And I'll need a new power source, more generators to monitor everything, even if it means increasing the noise" he sighed.

Then he realised something, "right, fabricate skill." Keeping that in mind, he left his hiding place before donning the mask he had taken from it. Thinking to himself, "Thomas and his boys would probably be looking out for me," he continued to exit the sewers while grinning. "But i am strapped so," he thought to himself as he adjusted his backpack.

-scene change-

Sitting at his cluttered workbench, Asher's gaze shifted from the materials before him to the step-by-step instructions he had fabricated from the scraps in the junkyard "fun fact it takes longer to sat WWW than world wide web" asher said to no particular person, however, the thing that benefited the most from the fabricating run, was the fabricating skill itself.

"It kinda makes you wonder, what changes would happen after it reaches tier 2" he mused before wondering about thomas and his boys, which thankfully he didnt encounter the. With a determined expression, he muttered the list of components once more, mentally visualising their connections and basically building a 3D image in his head. His frustration with the scarcity of the PIR sensor module lingered, "for some reason, i could not manicure that damn PIR, maybe i am missing a component" he reasoned.

Carefully, Asher connected the Arduino UNO Board to his computer, ensuring a stable connection. He then reached for the PIR Sensor Module, which still pained him to use, placing it gently on the breadboard, aligning the pins with precision. His hands moved deftly as he made the necessary connections, linking the VCC pin of the PIR Sensor Module to the 5V pin on the Arduino and grounding the GND pin.

As he proceeded, Asher's focus intensified, his fingers navigating the wires and components like a maestro conducting a symphony. He connected the OUT pin of the PIR Sensor Module to digital pin 2 on the Arduino, securing the circuit's functionality. With meticulous attention to detail, he connected the 470 ohm resistor to the anode of the LED, then linked the other end to pin 13 on the Arduino. The cathode of the LED found its connection to the GND pin, completing the circuit for the visual indicator.

Picking up a switch, Asher positioned it on the breadboard, attaching one end to digital pin 3 and the other to the GND pin on the Arduino. He double-checked each connection, ensuring a seamless integration of the components. Finally, he retrieved the 433 MHz UHF Wireless Module, referring to its documentation to properly establish the necessary data, clock, and power connections.

A/N thanks to that reader for giving me the idea to use the fabricating skill like this.

also, i cut out the entire fight with Thomas and his boys, so yeah, hopefully this chapter was good.
