securing the sewers (EDITED) (chapter 8)

Chapter 8

Now came the moment of truth. Asher powered on the camera, anticipation filling the air. He observed intently, checking if the image sensor was capturing images flawlessly, if the lens was focusing correctly, and if the IR illuminators were providing adequate light for low-light conditions. Adjustments were made as necessary to fine-tune the camera's performance.

Satisfied with the camera's functionality, Asher turned his focus towards securing the camera components. With precision, he organised the camera controller board, image sensor, and other elements within the camera housing, ensuring a neat arrangement that wouldn't obstruct any functionality.

As the final steps approached, Asher meticulously double-checked all the connections, ensuring their stability and reliability. He sealed the camera housing with care, making any necessary adjustments to guarantee a secure and protected setup. Additional steps provided by specific components were followed diligently, leaving no detail overlooked.

With the camera fully assembled, Asher admired his creation, a sense of accomplishment flooding his being. He had successfully built a functional camera from scratch, employing his skills as an Artificer and Jammer. It was a testament to his dedication and expertise, of course the system was that far behind.

Giving a big sight, "now, i need 6 more motion sensors and 5 more cameras which i could make with my favourite skill but i need the damn xp, although it aint big, a little xp is still xp" he said to himself as he picked up the packback before flipping upside down, causing bunch of components to fall down he then went through several of boxes, taking apart old phones and security cameras that he got from stealing and placed them among the components, "all of this for free" he said as a delightful expression appeared on his face, he then sat down beside the component as he reached his hand while muttering.

He then repeated the same steps, creating the rest of what he needed, "now, to choose the perfect location for this camera and sensors," Asher murmured as he swapped away the floating screen, contemplating the best placement for his creation. Whether indoors or outdoors, he considered factors like angle, coverage area, and specific requirements. With a resolute determination, or something like that, he mounted the cameras and sensors securely, ensuring its stability and optimal performance and the best location where he anticipated a possible intruder might come.

As Asher stepped back to admire his handiwork, he couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction. He had embarked on a journey of creation and innovation, harnessing his skills and knowledge to bring his vision to life. The motion-sensing cameras stood as a testament to his prowess as an Artificer and the path he had chosen as a Jammer.

Asher returned home, his mind buzzing with thoughts and ideas after successfully installing the cameras and sensors. As he opened the door, he paused, his eyes lingering on his security door. "Hmm, I need a better door, well nothing a little fabricating won't fix" he noted, recognizing the need for enhanced protection. He stepped inside his home, laptop in hand, which displayed the seven different camera viewpoints. "Not bad, not bad," he said, pleased with the clarity of the footage.

Suddenly, a realization struck him, and he exclaimed, "Power source, fucking power source!" Frustration washed over him as he sank back into the sofa. He leaned back, placing his hand on his face, contemplating the dilemma at hand, his firth though panning to generators before he quickly shook his head. "More generations equals more noise and more trouble," he thought, acknowledging the complications of obtaining a reliable power source.

Ideas flooded his mind as he deliberated various options. "Hmm, I could salvage batteries from junkyards or heck just create the damn thing myself using the fabricate skills," he debated, weighing the pros and cons. He sighed, realising the limitations of his current choices. "Well, there is also a small wind turbine, but anybody could see that from a mile away, not to mention the difficulty of installing it here," he mused, pondering the drawbacks.

However, a flicker of inspiration sparked within him. Rising from the sofa, Asher surveyed his surroundings, searching for a solution. His eyes fell upon a large black chalk behind his workbench. He swiftly retrieved it and began to draw on the nearby surface, crafting a peculiar sketch that resembled a bike.
