Before he could complete his statement, a colossal beast popped out of the water and chomped on him wholly, before it disappeared into the water, leaving a bloody mess within the stream.
The beast was a rather large reptilian, resembling a mordern day crocodile, except, it was about ten times larger than an average crocodile, with its skull only reaching the height of a normal human.
As it swam in the massive stream, the beast immediately noticed a large fish and instantly opened its mouth and chomped down on the poor fish, and by doing so, the remnants of the destroyed human flesh within its mouth fell out, drowning to the bottom of the water.
.
Deep underneath that dark abyss that was the bottom of the ocean, the eyes of the unconscious figure lying underneath a rock fluttered open.
Looking around him, Alan could still identify his surroundings due to his improved eyesight, but after a moment he realised a crucial thing.
That there was no air to breathe, and his lungs felt like bursting apart.
'Am I underwater?' He asked himself and flailed his arms around. As the realization struck him, he quickly began swimming trying to reach out to the top part of the water. After all, who wouldn't be scared if they were suddenly underwater in an era filled with prehistoric beasts.
After several minutes of trying to swim up with all of his strength, he slowly began losing consciousness as he felt his heart rate decrease accordingly.
Turning towards the dharma wheel on his back, he glared at it with a 'you've got to be kidding me expression', before his eyes closed, and his body slowly began descending towards the bottom.
*CLANG!*
The wheel rotated once, and all of a sudden, it was as if his organs had been rejuvenated. His body adapted to his surroundings, and a pair of gills opened on either side of his neck, granting him the ability to breathe underwater naturally.
His eyes snapped open instantly, as he instantly blasted off within the ocean, reaching a speed he could nearly reach on land.
Within several minutes, he could finally see the light, as he sped up knocking away several small creatures in his path.
*Swoosh!*
He burst out of the large stream into the air and hurled himself onto the dry land with force.
"Cough!"
He coughed and spat out the water from his mouth, and crawled towards a tree, before resting his back against it and taking a seat.
'I can breathe underwater…'
He thought to himself, however when the revelation actually dawned on him, he rushed to the water and jumped into it once more.
While keeping his nose and mouth covered in fear, he slowly realised that even without them, he could still breathe. Touching the slits on his neck, a smile formed on his face, which was wiped away pretty fast.
Turning around, he saw the creature that had killed him earlier rapidly gaining on him.
Without wasting time, he blasted off with immense speed, while the large crocodile opened its mouth and chased after him.
Hurling himself out of the water with force, he turned around only to see the massive crocodile with its mouth wide opened on his heels even in the air.
Thankfully, he had hurled himself into the air with immense force, reaching quite the distance, and while the crocodile has also reached a bit of distance, its body fell back into the water after reaching a limit.
Heaving a sigh of relief, Alana landed on his feet and went to sit back under the tall tree.
"You know, you're quite untrustworthy at times. I mean I got eaten by that huge son of a bitch and you weren't able to adapt in time to grant me any useful abilities? What sort of bullshit is that?"
Glaring at the dharma wheel, Alan roared out in a justified wrath, while he punched out, destroying a small tree beside him.
"Do you know how it felt getting crushed under its strong jaw and getting ripped apart into pieces?trust me you don't wanna know!" He roared out after a moment of silence and sat down once more.
One could say that his disposition was quite commendable, after all, one encounter with that beast was enough to give the modern man nightmares for a lifetime. However Alan had encountered it twice but although he did die during the first encounter, he survived on the second, and was still cool about it, that was commendable.
"That bastard son a bitch! I'm going to have my revenge one way or the other. Normally, I wouldn't even have wanted to try crocodile meat, but guess what, now, I'm actually interested!"
Alan walked to the river bank and spat outin rage only to flee when he sensed the waters stirring once more.
'Fuck that guy! I'm going to end it's life with my own two hands!'
He roared inwardly as he made his way to the cave. It would seem that he had finally made an enemy. At the very least, defeating that beast was something to work towards.
"You know what wheel, I think I've been taking things too lightly. I mean I could've gone on a killing spree after I found out about your power, but no, I decided to be the good guy, but guess what? Not anymore.
From now on, I'm going to become the alpha predator! The most feared thing on the land, sea and air and even underground!"
Speaking to his imaginary friend, the dharma wheel, he began cracking his knuckles, as he grinned like a villain.
"This world will know pain…" He raised his head to the sky, imagining himself as a fictional character as an imaginary suspenseful theme played behind him and died down a second later.
"Okay, I know that was lame as hell, but still let's do this. Let's see how strong I can actually become!"
He laughed, and instantly, his canines grew, claws emerged from his fingers, and his pupils turned blood red, as a malevolent aura surged within them.
He then zoomed off into the forest and headed towards a group of T-Rex's that were feasting on a meal. Without hesitation, he leapt into the air and descended with a punch, which shook the landscape.
A/N: Short chapter? I know. Sorry guys but I have class at 8 in the morning. Keep those power stones coming. I need them.
