32 New Beginnings: Unsealed

After dozens of millennia, life once more flourished on the planet that Gaea had named after her own essence, Earth. The millions of species of lifeforms that had been eradicated during the cataclysm had now been replaced by a new, more docile and less terrifying species of lifeforms.

After creation, the Primordials had settled in their own self created residences in higher dimensions, inaccessible to mortality.

Tartarus had chosen to open his own realm which he named after himself, several dimensions before the chaoplasm which he had failed to access, while Gaea merely chose to combine her essence with the earth and become one with it.

Chronos and Ananke left to their own dimension, ensuring the smooth passage of time, and the boundaries of fate on the multiverse, while Nyx and Erebus also chose to stay together, ensuring night on earth and manifesting the darkness that existed within the night respectively.

•The Dreaming•

Seated at the highest balcony of the palace of the king of Dreams, Death sat alone in silence, drinking from a golden goblet, while she peered into the distance.

Her mind was occupied with thoughts, and even with all her power, she could not escape from the guilt of allowing her only acquaintance and student be cast into a tortourous abyss.

Over the course of time, she had tried her very best to forget or ignore what had happened to him, but the increasing feeling of guilt burdened and shackled her mind.

Although she was well aware of the fact that even she was powerless in the face of the archangels, part of her knew that if she truly wanted to help out, she would've regardless of the consequences.

She couldn't help but remember a vague memory, on the fateful day. She clearly remembered, that if she had not stopped him, Alan would've definitely leapt to join the battle, just to help Samael.

"You have become quite broody over the past millennia, my dear sister, is there anything bothering your mind?"

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a tall pale skinned handsome man with messy black hair.

"It's nothing, brother. Besides you do not need to concern yourself with me, after all you have duties to fulfill."

Death smiled towards Dream, clearly desiring some privacy, however he ignored her comment and materialised a chair before sitting beside her and sipping some of her wine.

"You know, I can tell what's on your mind."

Dream took a sip of his wine and then turned to her and spoke, startling her for a moment.

"There's no-.."

"It's him, isn't it?"

Death was about to defend herself when Dream spoke with a chuckle. Seeing how he had already figured it out, it would be pointless to lie anymore so she sighed and reclined in her seat.

"He considered me an acquaintance, brother, yet in the moments he needed me I abandoned him."

She sighed and took a sip before looking into the distance.

"You were just an acquaintance. Besides, what were you supposed to do in the face of those high and mighty archangels?"

Dream questioned but she shook her head.

"It's my fault, brother. I trained him, gave him false confidence that he was strong enough. During the battle, he tried to rush in to help out Lord Samael, but I stopped him, and when he needed me, I was nowhere to be found."

She nearly raised her voice, as Dream merely listened to her in silence.

"Don't be so hard on yourself, sister. You did what you could."

He patted her shoulder in sympathy, but she sighed in sorrow.

"You should've seen him brother. When he found out Samael was battling the host of Heaven. He nearly rushed to join the battle even when he knew that he was nowhere as powerful enough to affect the scales in anyway.

He was the purest being I'd ever met."

She continued her monologue, only stopping to take sips of her drink.

"Sigh. At first I thought his existence was a counter to the scales of order, but I was wrong about him. I did watch him for a while after you told me about him. What moved me the most was the fact that, he spared the man, when he was kicked out of the garden, even when he was indirectly responsible of everything that had happened. Alan certainly did not deserve to be punished in such a manner."

Dream grabbed his wine and poured out drops of his wine on the ground, as if trying to appease Alan's soul in purgatory.

"Sigh. It's alright brother. Are Destiny's words true, about the fact that, Heaven plans to make no move against the Primordial beings born of Khaos who have entered the multiverse?"

After a moment of silence Death finally calmed herself and then asked.

"Yes. Our brother claims to have visited the silver city himself to enquire on this particular subject with the creator.

It seems the creator has gone on some sort of agreement with Khaos to allow her descendants to settle in our multiverse."

Dream thought for a moment, and then replied while Death nodded.

"The surprising part is that, Heaven plans to seclude itself, hence relinquishing majority of the responsibility of maintaining creation to the Primordials."

Dream added, while Death thought for a moment before her eyes lit up.

"I see. It make sense for the responsibility to be handed over to the Primordials in exchange for them to inhabit parts of the multiverse."

Death spoke, however within her, an idea bubbled forth. Since Heaven planned to relinquish responsibility to the Primordials then it meant that they would no longer have direct control and influence over creation. That alone was enough reason for her to put her plan into motion.

"Thank you for the information, brother."

Death stood up abruptly, patted Dream's shoulder, before she disappeared in a swirl of death flames.

•Earth•

The newly reformed Earth was now flourishing with life, as the brilliance of the Primordials shone across its surface illuminating all of nature with grace and tranquility.

*SWOOSH!*

The peaceful atmosphere was instantly disturbed by a swirl of dark flames, and from which a beautiful pale skinned woman walked out with a frown.

Casting her eyes across the three dimensional space before her, she sighed in relief.

'Thankfully, Saint Michael did not go all out in creating this purgatory for Alan. Otherwise, if even all of us combined, we would not have been able to break it.'

Death thought before she raised her hands to the sky.

*BOOOOM!*

The next moment, a massive amount of death energy burst out of her body, encapsulating the entire earth. The massive energy coalesced dozens upon dozens upon dozens of times, and became a small tiny orb, that sat atop Death's fingers.

She instantly snapped her finger, and in that moment, tiny orb ripped through the 3 dimensional space, into another dimension, as a portal slowly opened.

*THUD!**THUD!*

After sustaining the portal open with all of her strength, she sent waves of energy within the dimension, trying to tear it down from the inside, in order to draw out the being that was locked up within.

However after a few moments, a bout of heavy footsteps rang out, as the shadow of some sort of being spread out, followed by an intense wave of malevolent blood red energy.
