Vs. Parasite (Part 1)

Metropolis

Boom!

With a deafening sound, Jero crashed to the ground, and the dust kicked up upon landing made his figure appear somewhat ethereal.

It was now evening, the time when many people were getting off work, so there were quite a few ordinary citizens gathered in the city center square of Metropolis.

Raaah!!!

The chubby, purple-pink monster let out a loud roar, causing ripples in the surrounding air. Superman, who was grappling with him, showed signs of discomfort.

Seeing Jero arrive, Superman suddenly exerted his strength, flinging the chubby purple-pink monster away.

"Superman!" Jero called out to Superman. "What's going on here?"

Superman, looking a bit weakened, flashed to Jero's side and said, "Be careful, Ultraman. That purple-pink monster can absorb energy to become stronger. He absorbed some of my energy, and this massive electrical cage is the work of another villain who can absorb and transform himself into electricity."

Listening to Superman's explanation, Je]ro instantly understood who these two individuals were.

The villain who could absorb and transform himself into electricity must be Superman's adversary, "Livewire," whose abilities were somewhat similar to the adjacent Electro, and they both had a fear of water.

The chubby purple-pink monster had to be the Parasite, an unfortunate soul infected by extraterrestrial parasites that made him crave the life force of others.

Jero couldn't fathom why these two were collaborating. While villain team-ups weren't uncommon, there usually had to be a purpose.

"I need energy! Unprecedented energy!" As Superman explained the situation to Jero, Parasite  stood up again, and his twisted form was enough to send shivers down anyone's spine.

In the eyes of the Parasite, Superman was like a sun, and Jerro was like a satellite orbiting around it. In his thought process, after seeing these two, his mind was fixated solely on the word 'energy.'

With each step Parasite took, the earth trembled.

"This guy seems to absorb energy by skin contact. I'll handle this big monster, Superman," Jero said as he stood in front of Superman. The optical lenses on his helmet displayed some data on Parasite, and the thrusters on his shoulder blades were already activated.

Upon hearing Jero's words, Superman nodded. "Then I'll go deal with the one who can generate electricity. Be careful on your end."

"Give me energy!!!"  Parasite charged forward, howling, with saliva dripping from the corners of his mouth, enough to make someone lose their appetite for days.

Seeing this, Jero flew forward and delivered a powerful punch to Parasite's face, a blow strong enough to distort his facial features.

"Calm down!" With Jero's battle cry,  Parasite staggered back, but only for a couple of steps.

But in the next moment, as Parasite's face twitched, he returned to his original state.

His greedy eyes were fixed on Jero, and his muscular arms, built up from absorbing energy, reached out to grab Jero.

"It looks like this guy has absorbed quite a bit of energy from Superman," Jero silently estimated the amount of energy the Parasite had absorbed. He was well aware that Parasite's strength was directly tied to the energy he absorbed.

Buzz!

The Spacium Light Blades on Jero's arms activated, emitting a faint blue glow, significantly boosting his speed.

With the increased speed, Jero sidestepped Parasite's giant hand, and he quickly formed a Spacium Light Slash and threw it at Parasite.

Clang!

The Spacium Light Slash made a crisp sound as it struck Parasite's pink-purple skin, but it was repelled. Jero immediately used his Ultra Psychic Power to control the trajectory of the Spacium Light Slash, bringing it back to his hand.

"It seems even the Spacium Light Slash can't cut through his skin," Jero muttered as he looked at the Spacium Light Slash in his hand, which couldn't penetrate Parasite's skin.

But Jero wasn't out of options. Parasite's energy consumption rate was high, and Jero was confident he could outlast him.

By slightly increasing the energy output of the Spacium Light Slash, Jero threw it at Parasite once again.

The Spacium Light Slash, almost as tall as Jero himself, flew toward Parasite. Seeing this, Parasite simply crossed his arms to defend himself.

With the increased energy output, the Spacium Light Slash created sparks on Parasite's hands and gradually embedded itself in his pink-purple skin.

"Ahhhhh!!!" Parasite let out a painful roar.

On the wound created by the Spacium Light Slash, the energy absorbed from Superman was rapidly converting into golden particles and dissipating into the air.

This enraged Parasite. His monstrous body rushed toward Jero as if he wanted to crush him flat.

His hands, full of twisted nerves, clenched into fists, and energy flowed continuously into his arms as he prepared to grab Jero and drain all his energy, like a starving competitive eater presented with an unlimited feast.

"I need energy!!!" Parasite intensified his efforts to break through what he saw as an 'iron can' in front of him, intending to absorb Jero's energy like drinking soda from a can.

With the Spacium Limiters removed, Jero gathered his strength and pushed Parasite back, then threw another Spacium Light Slash at him.

"Come up with some different phrases; I'm getting tired of hearing that one, you bastard."

Jero's fierce red optics locked onto Parasite as Spacium particles emanated from his energy core, turning the Spacium Light Blades on his back into red.

In the next moment, Jero transformed into a crimson meteor.

Note: This chapter is part of a larger story involving Ultraman and Superman facing off against two villains, Livewire and Parasite. It describes their battle and the use of various superpowers and abilities.
