Chapter - 5: Typhon!

----------

I looked up to see Power Girl's silhouette against the blazing sunlight, her cape blowing majestically in the wind behind her as she crossed her arms over her ample breasts, making them appear even larger.

"It's a good thing I was nearby, or someone could have been seriously hurt," her ice-blue eyes looked at me with various emotions ranging from simple curiosity to something more intense.

"Now, there's two reasons you could've shown up like that. Either you're here confused about what's going on, or you're here looking for trouble, and I'd be happy to help you with either."

The floating woman fell to the ground, her eyes focused on my tail, which was moving back and forth behind me at that moment. "And what are you supposed to be? A new Cadmus project or something? Well... Is the tail alone a clue that you are not an ordinary Kryptonian clone or something else"

I did not answer. Because I was seriously holding back from attacking her, because I could feel every cell in my body screaming at me to face this woman with all my might, so that I could finally have a fun and challenging fight of my own.

And as if that were not enough, I could hear a voice in the back of my head whispering over and over again to kill the girl in front of me. But it is not just Kryptonians; it is a hatred for every species native to Krypton, including animals.

Because they were the ones who killed Doomsday the most in his early years. And because of that, his hatred and anger would remain a thin strand of his DNA until he achieved his goal.

I have to overcome my anger, so my innate desire for a good fight was nothing to me. However, sooner or later, I would have liked to have a good fight that would have finally satisfied me....

"No answer?" She said with a shrug, "It looks like it's going to be more complicated than expected, but at least you seem to have some intelligence since you didn't destroy or kill everything in front of you."

I had already decided that I would use my "age" as a Cadmus clone to my advantage, as I would try to establish a perfect background in this new world. And I would give the Justice League important information to gain their trust, but I would keep many of my unique skills and abilities hidden.

But my thoughts were abruptly interrupted as things became much more problematic: "Well, you can understand why I can't let you run around the city. So I'm sorry for the rough treatment, but I have to take you to the other League members to figure out what to do with you."

I found myself being accused. I got the distinct impression that in her eyes I was not fast at all. Something told me that she was watching my every move, and if I tried to run away.... She would have knocked me down.

I could only smile a thin smile before my body acted unconsciously. In an instant, I closed the distance between us, but PowerGirl easily followed my movements, remaining calm even as I threw a tentative punch to her face.

However, she escaped her guard and struck me in the cheek, though my fist struck her in retaliation. Her face was completely intact. I felt like I had hit the hardest material in the universe.

Her head jerked back from the force of the blow, but I had no illusions that she was injured in any way. And judging by her stubbornness, she was expecting it, and I hadn't done the slightest damage.

Her fist came close to my ribs, but I grabbed the fist she tried to hit me with, even if it cost me a few broken bones. I met her gaze with a look of my own, as angry as she was.

She was much stronger than me. Significantly, even with my ki, at least in a full physical comparison, she was at least fifty times stronger than me, or even much stronger, she had so much life force that she was truly unbelievable.

She was comparable to a cosmic being, and that was a praise that was rarely given so easily. I could feel the magnitude of our power-the crack was so great that I realized the blow that had shattered my hand was a fist she had thrown.

"You're strong, but you can't beat me," PowerGirl said in a confident tone, she was confident in her own abilities as she had faced stronger beings than me, "Now why don't you be a good boy and come with me," she said clearly, not considering my current strength something she would have to worry about.

My face could only twist into an angry snarl as I saw her treating me so condescendingly. And the anger was visible in my eyes, which only grew as a growl escaped my mouth.

She did not seem to be impressed as she snapped out of it with a simple flick of her hand and pressed it against my chest. It wasn't really an attack, but I was still thrown off and sent straight to the ground, demonstrating once again the difference in strength between us.

The earth and stone did little to stop me until I infused my ki into the area, strengthening it enough to stop it. It had not pushed me hard enough to send me straight across the planet, but I was easily sent a few hundred meters underground.

She was clearly stronger than me. She was a woman at the peak of her race, trying to overpower me with all her might, intending to subjugate me, not letting me do anything to counterattack in any way.

Therefore, I could not defeat her in a simple showdown, so I had to remain calm, study her moves, and act accordingly to the best of my ability. As soon as it was clear that the first blow would not be successful, I found another fist coming towards my face.

I dodged it with a kick to the stomach, using it more or less as a springboard to get away from her rather than stay and deal with the "inevitable irritation" my attack would cause.

Before I could finish my attack, I was suddenly pinned to the ground with my arms behind my back. As soon as my thoughts returned, I immediately bent down and tried to free myself, but PowerGirl, the person holding me.... Well, her hands were immovable.

"Give up or someone is going to get really hurt," PowerGirl said in a confident tone, pushing me harder to the ground as I tried to raise my arm and for the first time since I had been in this world...

I felt pain. I let out a yelp before turning my head to see PowerGirl's steely blue eyes staring at me coldly, as if I were one of the many random mobs she could easily defeat.

I looked within myself and found a familiar thread leading to a source of power deep within me. From my memories, this power was not to be trifled with; Slider had been in a state of agony for years until he became a True Super Saiyan1.

I almost chose to become a False Super Saiyan2 rather than touch that thread again, but I didn't know if I could endure the emotional hell of the transformation, which would only cloud my mind further.

I was used to the physical pain. But not so much to the emotionality that the state of this transformation would cause, and for the moment, I was not ready for such power.

Catching my breath, I tugged at the thread, drawing out the power of Oozaru's transformation. I felt the pain increase several times as it bubbled up inside me, pressing against my bones and flesh. I felt more and more that the power I had was too much for a body that had just begun to discover it, but fortunately, I had my reactive adaptation.

But thanks to the memories of my previous incarnation, it was easier than before. And my adaptation helped me with my physical body, so I didn't even have to strain to contain the excess power.

The brute force of his being within me, "Great Ape," could already be felt all over the world. Joy and euphoria rose from my being. His exhilaration turned to pure excitement as he caused the immense Ki in me to grow as well, almost as if we shared the same emotions or even the same goal.

With a mighty roar of my own, I hurled away all the buildings in my vicinity, the only one who had managed to resist was PowerGirl, who tried to approach me with slow steps that left clear footprints on the ground, only to be repelled by the massive spread of energy.

I could see tiny particles of red-green light emanating from my being, clearly visible, and my body slowly began to change, the ground began to shake and the particles of green light became denser and more abundant, turning into a violent flow of red-green energy.

The changes began to become more drastic, my muscles bulging, growing taller and stronger with each passing second, accentuating my animal side.

A tower of pure red ki exploded from my body, shattering everything around me as if it were a world made of paper and destroying everything in my vicinity, creating a huge crater.

My eyes were only focused on the woman in front of me, while a broad smile could not help but appear on my face as I felt the pure power circulating through my body, slowly trying to take over my mind and everything that made me a human being.

"Aaaa!" I easily broke the sound barrier with a single leap, instantly reducing the distance between us and striking her beautiful face with a powerful fist.

PowerGirl was knocked back about twenty feet before recovering easily. She said nothing of my sudden increase in strength before resuming the fight, taking the offensive with increasing vigor as she held back a little less with each blow she landed on me.

Her blows were random, fleeting at best, but still struck with such force that my bones shattered, forcing me to parry the blows even as I countered as best I could. The only thing that kept me from flying away was the fact that I deliberately stayed in the center to take her blow after blow, denying her the possibility of even the slightest advantage against me.

PowerGirl moved in a confused manner, her punches raining down on me in an attempt to end the fight as quickly as possible. The first blow moved in a confused manner, but the fact that I had managed to parry it let me know that she was still holding back to avoid permanently injuring me.

Less than with the first blow, she realized how much he would have to hold back against me, but with the difference in strength, dodging would be the only way to avoid breaking every bone in my body.

I took a deep breath and dove forward to meet her. Her attacks were ferocious, fists flying in every direction with no rhyme or reason. She clearly knew how to land a good punch and kick a bad guy's ass.

The problem was, she didn't know how to fight. Or rather, she had no real sense of the ebb and flow of a real fight. Her style was relentless aggression, and for most people, maybe even people stronger than her, that would have been more than enough if she had gotten the first punch.

A deflected blow opened the way for her to land a blow to my stomach, and while I was forced to dodge a blow I could barely see, her shoulder was still in the same place, allowing me to deliver a powerful uppercut. It was hard to tell if the blows had done any damage, but from the look on her face, PowerGirl did not seem to mind taking them.

As I ducked the blow and responded with a punch to the nose that probably did more damage to my hand than to her, I realized that this was not the way to win the fight. I wasn't losing, but I wasn't really winning.

I had underestimated the resilience of an adult Kryptonian's body after years of absorbing the energy of the sun's rays; they really were the most perfect punching bag you could find in the universe.

Going on the offensive, as I did then, was a pipe dream. It would take years to wear her down, and of course the same was true for me, but I had to remember that she was not serious while I was engaged in a counterattack to turn the fight in my favor.

When I was defensive, I could resist indefinitely, but I could never strike. So I decided to take more power. Cautiously. Without losing control, trying to get used to this power slowly, in order to succeed as a True Super Saiyan3 in the near future.

I pulled too hard and the thread almost broke, but I had seen firsthand that Oozaru's transformation still had a lot to give me to succeed in this confrontation of powers.

Gritting my teeth, I blocked another blow before landing a blow to PowerGirl's throat. She gasped in annoyance, but was otherwise undaunted. I felt the power grow within me.

The State of Wrath was a power the Ancient Saiyans used a lot, but even then not every level was ranked, but I felt myself entering a high level. And as I blocked a blow for the first time, relying on the surge of power to resist the force as I kicked PowerGirl's ribs, I simultaneously pulled harder on the thread of power to reach the maximum I could handle at that moment.

I slammed my fist into her cheek with such force that my knuckles cracked, and was rewarded when her face jerked to the side with the clear surprise in her eyes. The gap between our powers narrowed as I drew more power from the State of Wrath, but I could not win this way.

I pulled on the wire inside me again, swallowing my hesitation. The air around my body stirred from the sudden surge of power as I reached a good point in my State of Wrath, matching the power of most of the Justice League.

Still, PowerGirl was stronger than me. However, she went from nearly fifty times my strength to less than thirty. The gap was small enough that I could do some real damage to her without having to use my ki or any of my other tricks that would cause too much damage to her surroundings.

Her eyes widened, sensing that something was wrong, but she was unwilling to do anything about it. Her defenses were non-existent as she was confident in her strength, allowing me to easily put a fist through her guard and slam my fist into her stomach.

Unlike all the previous blows, she felt this one clearly. PowerGirl flew off like a bullet into the clear sky, her hands clutching the spot I had hit for a few seconds in obvious discomfort before straightening up.

There was a mixture of seriousness and curiosity in her eyes, the irritation fueling her will to fight rather than weakening it. A smile found its way to my face. I had sweated enough and was enjoying our little encounter.

"While we're fighting, are you getting stronger by the second?" she asked, and then the fight began in earnest. She lunged at me, her fists flying at me with more force than before, pouncing on me.

I easily dodged her next punch as she went wide and threw one of my own with all my strength. A clap of thunder echoed in the clear sky as my fist struck her cheek.

Her head snapped to the side as she was sent on a collision course with the ground. The ground collapsed beneath her as she landed, a huge cloud of dust rising into the air as PowerGirl's momentum carried her through earth and stone, just as it had done to me earlier.

But as soon as she could, PowerGirl regained control and flew toward me, tearing through the ground like it was made of wet tissue paper. We collided over the city, several sonic booms stirring the wind.

She threw a blow that I was forced to parry with my forearm, feeling my inner bones ache from the effort. I saw it in the way she fought: she was beginning to enjoy it as well, which was why she had decided to end the fight with me immediately.

She still held back, but not as clearly as before. One good, clean blow would do more damage to me than all the blows I gave her several times. I enjoyed it very much. My lips parted in a smile as I amused myself, showing off the enlarged canines of State of Wrath.

With a snarl, PowerGirl confronted me, tired of my dodging and ducking. I grabbed my fist and brought it down on her back with a hammer blow, a grunt of pain escaping my lips, but that did not stop her from lunging forward, trying to push me to the edge of the city below.

She pounded her fists again and again and again. On the third blow, she struck me in the stomach, forcing our downward trajectory.... I felt my back hit the ground, ripping through it, vaporizing on impact as we drew a line through the earth.

PowerGirl tried to straighten our trajectory, sending hundreds of civilians into the middle of the city, just seconds before killing a lot of innocent people, which was honestly something I wanted to happen.

"Wait!" I yelled, and to my surprise, and apparently PowerGirl's as well, she slowed down considerably. "We'll be in town in a few miles." At the speed we were going, it was obvious it was going to be a massacre.

PowerGirl slowed down again, stopping for a moment before I felt her grip on me loosen. She straightened up, looking a little stern, but otherwise fine. Meanwhile, my body shrink as I let go of the thread connecting me to the ape's power and slowly returned to my normal form, no longer wanting to fight.

She looked at me suspiciously, as if I was about to take a low blow. "Yes, there is. And it looks like you've finally decided to talk," she commented, giving me some space, but not too much to make sure I would react immediately if I tried anything she would consider hostile towards her.

"Do you know where you are?" asked Powergirl, forcing me to scratch the back of my head to maintain my recitation of my new story in this new world. "Okay, I'll take that as a no, do you know who you are? Or at least any useful information?"

I blinked at her question, tilting my head as I stared at her in obvious confusion, before nodding my head, "I am Project Typhoeus," but I was stopped before I could continue talking about my origins.

"All right. You don't have to tell me everything right now, the League will probably want to know about you anyway. Besides, you're out of trouble, at least for now," Powergirl said as she landed on the ground.

"I understand that this is a very complicated situation for you..." She took a long look at a certain part of my body that she had shamelessly ignored until that moment, and obviously liked what she saw,

"But we should probably get you some clothes and get out of here since we've already done enough damage during our little fight."

"...That's fine," I replied and started to channel my Evil Ki around my body and move the way I wanted, I was just concentrating on escaping and I felt it getting easier every second as she nodded.

"This is the best time as the media has no way to get to this place considering all the damage we've done to this part of the city," she explained as she took flight again.

She still seemed a little upset that I had been released without any supervision, but in fact I had no ill intentions, at least for the moment, as I stabilized and slowly flew to a spot on a nearby rooftop.

I soon discovered that my ability to fly had become like another organ to me, accessing several of my memories, and my reactive adaptation had become much easier than expected.

"Anyway, I guess I should introduce myself, it's been a while. I'm known as PowerGirl, a member of the independent group of heroes called the Justice League," Her introduced herself. "But I guess you already know that information, right?"

I nodded unceremoniously, "I'm know most of that information, considering what I am, I'd introduce myself in return, but... well, you know," I said in a dubious tone, making her smile softly.

I took it very well, considering my Saiyan nature. But every time my name was mentioned, my tail started to hiss faster, a nervous ticking that I was aware of, but there was nothing I could do to stop it, given the stressful situation I was in.

"It's not so surprising, and it's almost common to all Cadmus. Clones with almost no memories and only information about us to accomplish their goals," PowerGirl said, nodding as she looked at me for a moment, her eyes wide. "I guess we'll have to pick a name for you, I can't keep calling you Naked Monkey in my head."

"A name, huh?" I said in a heavier than expected tone, my eyebrows furrowing as I thought about it more. "I don't have anything in mind...?"

I was not Doomsday (Ultimate), a being designed to be the most perfect creature in the entire universe, who ended up becoming a machine that killed every single living thing. Or even Slider, a warrior whose only goal in life was to face stronger and stronger opponents until he was finally satisfied.

Two lives, or rather two incarnations, with many similarities between them. But they still had a serious lack of respective basic emotions, which eventually led to their demise.

But one should also not forget my human incarnation, which had given me my meta-knowledge, which was certainly very useful, and I would have relied on it a lot to continue living in this universe without being trapped in some magical dimension by a stupid mistake on my part.

But I also had another name:

Project Typhoeus... This name was such a threat that all the gods fled in fear.

"Typhon," I said simply, the word coming out of my mouth as if it were natural, and to be honest, it seemed very appropriate, "and that is my name"

When I give myself a name, my name defines me. This is what I will be from now on, the human part of me that I was before is gone. By now I had decided to move away from my human identity to try to get used to the fact that I was stuck in this world and couldn't go back.

And in the meantime, I just tried to keep a minimum of my morals and some of my memories to survive in this world.

A/N: I hope you enjoy this chapter.

[+1 chapter - https://www.patreon.com/Demon King22 - Interlude: A King is Born]

In this chapter I tried to show Mc's strength again, but with a worthy opponent to show you his limits in his basic form without any transformation.

And as you could read, he is a being full of potential, as was obvious with all the different DNA in him. But that is certainly not enough to be considered a heavyweight in this world, as there are indeed many beings with such strength.

I also wanted to show the power of a mature Kryptonian who should not be messed with, as it is clear throughout the fight that PowerGirl was never serious during the fight between the two.

But I also want to mention that during the fight, Mc never used his Evil Ki to use any ability outside of himself, such as energy attacks or even to form weapons, and even more so to not hurt the innocents.

As for the Rage State, I tried to make it the focus of this chapter because I could show you how his reactive adaptation (Doomsday) worked to get his new body used to this new power.

Then, as I'm sure you noticed in this chapter, I decided to highlight some important details about the past of the Ancient Saiyans, because I really think it's a waste that we weren't told anything.

More specifically, I used different terms to begin to tell the basics of the ancient Saiyan lore, which is certainly a very interesting topic for me to cover in this story.

As for the ending, I tried to make it feel as smooth as possible, without any plot holes. And it felt pretty good to me, because after all, they are both technically Kryptonians, and they have similar situations in some ways.

Another very important thing is that Mc finally chose a name to use in this new life. I chose Typhon simply because Galatea's name is also based on Greek mythology.

On the other hand, if you want to see something specific in the next chapters, or even just have some good advice for the story as a whole, I am always willing to read a comment if it is constructive criticism.

If you see any mistakes, I would be grateful if you would point them out to me, so that I can correct them when I have some spare time, and make the story as complete as possible for myself and especially for you.

To facilitate a clearer understanding, I've retained pictures of the respective characters. Your feedback is always valued, and if you have any suggestions for the upcoming chapter, please feel free to comment—I'll be sure to respond as usual.

Please leave a review if you like the story.
