Chapter 94

That's when Dio heard a noise behind him and saw some sparks.

One of the Erinyes attacked him and hit his shield.

Luckily, the chaotic flight of the one he was holding was making it hard for the others to hit me again.

Dio let go of one of his arms and grabbed one of her wings.

He saw that she was getting too close to the River Styx and didn't want to jump in, so she stopped flying, and they started falling freely.

So she doesn't cause him trouble again, Dio pulls on the wings, and they tear easily.

"HAAAAAAAA"

She screams, this time in pain.

With his job done, Dio looked around while they fell. He let go and moved to the left.

One of them fell without being able to fly, and the other one went to help her sister.

The last Erinyes flew towards him with her arms outstretched and her mouth open.

A mouth that Dio hit with all his strength.

She tried to run away, but Dio held her hair and pulled her closer.

He did the same thing he did with the first one, lying on her back and holding one of her wings.

Dio didn't have time to tear her like he did with the other because the ground came first.

"BOMMMMM!"

In the middle of the fall, Dio succeeded in turning Erinyes's body downward, but he had to release her when he hit the ground, and his body shook a little before he could straighten up.

Dio raised his hand, and his sword returned to him.

He wouldn't get hurt badly if he fell from this height; demigods can handle that kind of damage.

Unfortunately, the two Erinyes that fell to the ground were also quite resilient and were not seriously injured.

At least the one who fell with him had one of her wings broken in the fall, so two of them are now stuck on the ground with him.

'One more.'

Dio thought as he saw the last one still in the air.

She was clever and didn't approach alone.

The other two are slowly walking toward me. They are not used to fighting on the ground.

Dio just waited for them.

The two on the ground finally attacked him.

One of them tried to hit his throat with her claws; Dio twisted his body to the left to avoid it and cut her thigh with his blade.

"HAAAAAAAAAA!"

A deep wound that forces her to fall to her knees.

Dio couldn't hit her head because the second one almost struck his heart. He held her wrist to protect himself and twisted it, breaking it.

When the Erinyes squirmed in pain, Dio stepped on her knee, and when she bent down, he drove his knee into her face.

When the last flying Erinyes came close to hitting Dio, he turned.

However, she was still able to grab him and drag him along the ground for a few meters while she tried to bite his neck.

Thankfully, Dio moved quickly and grabbed her by the neck, pulling her away from him.

"BLAMM!"

Dio hit a tree trunk, which made the tree shake.

"Hahhaha!"

The Erinyes continue to try to bite him with all their might.

Dio took a deep breath and let out the air.

The Erinyes know what's going to happen and let him go while flapping ther wings to try to flee away from him.

But that was a bluff.

Dio did not cast any spells.

When she moved away from me a little, he teleported behind her, cut off one of her wings, and kicked her in the back while throwing her face-first into the tree trunk.

Before she could turn around, Dio thrust his sword and pierced her shoulder and the trunk.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The earplugs broke when she screamed in pain.

Dio put both hands over my ears for a moment to protect himself from her scream.

The scream didn't stop, and the pain only increased.

In a moment of panic, Dio grabbed her hair and slammed her head so hard against the trunk that her face got stuck in the wood.

Then her scream stopped.

Dio felt my hands wet; he looked at them and saw a bit of blood, not from the Erinyes but from his ears.

Dio pulled his sword off of her shoulder and the trunk, but the Erinyes didn't fall to the ground. She was still standing there unconscious, with her face against the trunk.

"Hello."

Dio said to test his hearing, but he heard nothing.

Dio left the unconscious Erinyes behind and looked at the last two approaching him.

This time, they are a bit fearful while looking at their unconscious sister.

'Why didn't I kill her? Because it doesn't make me comfortable, and it's also useless.'

There are Greek monsters that don't stay dead for long.

When they are killed, the souls of Greek monsters go to Tartarus, where their bodies are reconstructed.

The stronger the monsters, the faster they resurrect, and since Tartarus doesn't care about anything, these monsters easily return to the underworld.

So if Dio were to kill the Erinyes, she would probably come back to life shortly, considering how time flows differently here.

So, it was clear that she would seek revenge after she came back to life.

It's better to leave them.

The last two are more cautious, which is not a good thing.

Dio prefers his enemies underestimating him and attacking like wild beasts.

The coconut-sized rock spins in the air like a ball and hits one of them in the chest, exploding into dust that leaves the one hit confused.

Dio ignored her and stood in front of the other, who tried to bite him like her sister.

Before she could get close, Dio put his sword on its side in front of her mouth, and she bit it.

Dio then sticks a finger in her eye—not strong or deep enough to burst her eye, just enough to make her step back and cover her face with her hand.

When she took a few steps back, Dio jumped, spun in the air, and kicked her on the side of her skull with all his strength, and the second one fell to the ground.

Dio didn't lose sight of the last one, so she couldn't hit him by surprise, but her claws scratched all over the chest of his armor when he took a step back to dodge.

The armor was damaged, but Dio wasn't.

Dio was worried about the damage to his armor from the last battle when he started this adventure, but that worry disappeared when his armor "healed" itself while he was training.

Melinoë explained to him that the blacksmiths of the underworld enchanted his armor like this.

It can use some of its energy to heal itself, as long as it is not completely destroyed.

With only one left, Dio took his shield from his back.

It would be foolish to fight with it at first because the three could take advantage of his blind spot if he raised it.

Dio put his shield up in front of him with his sword on the other hand and took small steps towards her, getting closer, and she took a few steps back.

"Don't be so shy now."

Dio said while increasing his speed a bit.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Once again, the damn Erinyes screams with all her might.

Dio's ears almost explode as he is still not hearing anything, and that makes him completely furious.

Dio left caution behind and ran to try to cut her head in a sweeping strike.

One of the Erinyes ducked her head while trying to stab his stomach.

Dio tried to turn to the left, but her claws cut him lightly. He hits her on the back of the neck with the tip of his sword as she is ducking.

She fell to her knees while conscious.

She falls backward to the ground with her wings still folded as Dio stands next to her and kicks her in the face.

Dio took a few deep breaths to recover his energy. It was a short but intense battle.

Dio wiped the blood running down his cheek from the cut on his eyebrow.

Luckily, the blood didn't flow into his eye, or things could have been much more difficult.

After sheathing his sword and shield, Dio grabbed the foot of the Erinyes near him and began dragging her on the ground towards the other.

While dragging the two on the ground, Dio smells them for the first time, and it's not pleasant.

Dio's wounds also started bothering him, especially the one on his leg.

Dio has to deal with all the things in the underworld first; after returning to Earth, he will have time to heal.

Dio releases the two Erinyes in front of the one stuck in the tree. He pulled her off the trunk and placed all three lying next to each other against the tree.

"Υπνος!"

(Sleep!)

Before starting, Dio cast a simple spell on the three, who easily fall into a deep sleep as they are unconscious.

Dio then took some distance and began his plan to deal with the three.
