Chapter 4: New body new abilities

My training with Steppenwolf would proceed like normal first he would throw me a weapon it was different each week and he said I must use whichever weapon he gave me to fight him, so I can never be surprised in battle.

Today it was a Beta Club an Apokalytian weapon capable of firing lasers and nerve rays, one of my favourite weapons.

I picked it up and got into a stance some beta clubs are as big as me those are used by larger warriors but others that are suited for me are much smaller but still pack a punch.

I continued to eye Steppenwolf as he got into a stance as well he was a master of many weapons but loved the battle-axe and sword the most he was currently using the battle-axe, we have fought each other many times since I was young and I have only ever improved with each fight and if there is one thing I've learned from old grand-uncle Steppenwolf is don't fight fair.

My first move was to release My omega beams that Zig-zagged towards him he frowned as he knew it would be pointless to try to avoid them so he used his massive axe as a shied that took all the impact but as he was about to take another position he quickly used his axe to block another attack this time it was from me directly with the Beta club I decided to get up close to old Steppenwolf to test my strength against his and it seems my strength must be incredible because he seems to have felt the impact despite blocking it sent him stumbling back a little trying to gain his balance.

As expected of him he quickly gained his composure and began his offensive as he swung his axe I moved up to him and swung my Beta club at him and our weapons collided causing a shock wave and the arena to shake and break apart.

We were both sent flying back but I quickly activated my other power Gravity which I used to have myself float in midair upside down I then shot omega beams at Steppenwolf who had just recovered he blocked the first but the second hit him in the shoulder, but if the dude had high pain tolerance he clearly showed it as he walked it off and began to charge at me.

"Your Beams are powerful boy, but they pale in comparison to Darkseid's!

This made me frown even if I knew it was true, but you can't compare the power of a being that has fought for thousands of years to some kid who has only been training for 17 years, and the actual me wasn't awake up until today.

Steppenwolf swung his axe down at my head as I was distracted I dodged to the side and raised my arm as red markings in the form of the Omega sign began to form on my arm indicating my use of either gear I then used my gravity to keep Steppenwolf in a place he was struggling since I made it about 10 times the planet's gravity, but he didn't stop there since he began to move after regaining his composure "you have used this trick on me hundreds of times boy I'm not amused.

He began to march towards me as I increased the gravity some more but it seems I was working so I did as my father would do and shot omega beams at him I made sure to put in as much power as I could and I released two massive red beams at old Steppenwolf and they seemed to be more powerful than I gave them credit for since not only were they able to send him back but they also tore a massive hole in his armour reviling his burnt skin.

Hehehe "seems as if my power grows by the day-old Steppen"

He struggled to get back up and began to feel his chest the pain was written all over his face "it seems we are done for the day, continue to practice your skills use the parademons if you must then go do as you please"

Steppenwolf then walked off without any more words leaving me to do as I please and enjoy my victory. I grinned to myself having powers for real was fun but what else could I do?

I called over some nearby Parademons and they stood by obediently waiting for instructions.

I looked around at the damaged arena and I began to test out my gravity abilities with the Parademons as Alpha slept

I started with something simple a gravity fist My right arm begins to glow for a brief moment and then I punched a parademon seems even tho I told my opponent to defend with everything it had my punch had enough force to rupture the ground in several places, destroying the arena even more.

My punch completely obliterated the parademon as its blood and guts were spraying everywhere and some even got on my cloaths. It didn't seem strange to me tho just felt natural I then called the next two over and unlike humans, these guys were extremely obedient and didn't fear death for their masters.

The next move I would practise would require the parademon to be airborne so I told them to fly around me as fast as they could and they did so I then began to exert an immense amount of force on my airborne targets by boosting their gravity, pulling the target to the ground towards me they crashed onto the ground hard but they survived.

"Get up I have other things I want to try"

The parademons of course did as they were told and stood up. and the training continued

After my 4-hour training with my Gravity either gear which was the lightest, the training I would be doing all week although the parademons were dead they proved useful Alpha who had begun to eat the parademons remains got on high alert notifying me of someone was coming.

he picked up on something someone was coming but he didn't seem to be too worried meaning it was somebody he liked and it was none other than Barda she walked to the Arena where I stood I gave her a light smile "Hey there Barda what you up to?
