Pantheon of The True Gods

Inside Amazon's quarters.

Some Amazons were examining their weapons and armors.

"You will report to the stadium in minutes." Hippolyta said.

The women were wearing a leather undertunic, greaves and boots.

"You will not wear any distinguishing clothing, or marks, and you will obscure your faces."

The Amazons took a black cloth and wrapped it around their faces.

"You will not hesitate because your opponent is faltering."

The Amazons placed a streamlined version of a Corinthian helmet on their faces, their features now completely obscured.

"You will not allow your opponent to win. The others are simply those in your way."

The Amazon gathered their spears, shields and swords, and stepped outside, where hundreds of other, similarly attired Amazons were marching down the streets.

They were swallowed up by the crowd, completely anonymous.

"You will compete and you will fight for the glory and honour for yourself and for your nation."

They filed into a vast stadium, where they stood assembled in front of the Queen, who was seated in a royal box alongside Sentry.

Every other Amazon was in the audience.

"You will fight because you must."

The Amazons, as one, salute; crossing their forearms just under their chin, left arm over right.

"You are Amazons. Begin."

—————————————————————

A line of granite pillars on a grassy plain, and a metal point erupted out of the closest pillar.

Each pillar had suddenly 'grown' one of these points because it's now seen that the pillars are targets.

And the points were the tips of spears thrown through each pillar, near all dead centres.

An Amazon in a white robe examined each one, then held up a red flag next to the spear that was closest to the mark.

Surprisingly for the islanders, that one came from one of the outsiders.

Each accomplishing a perfect bullseye.

Masked Amazons ran down a track.

They approached a wooden wall that was at least fifty feet high, all vaulting it like a hurdle.

It took a mere leap for the outsiders to finish the test.

Not breaking a sweat.

Prompting a jaw dropping moment for the crowd of Amazons.

Masked Amazons were grunting, grimacing, as they pushed massive boulders up a steep hill.

The women in white robes, the referees, watched the proceedings with a shocked expression.

The outsiders continued to surpass everyone, as if it was a walk in the park for them.

Hippolyta observed a wrestling match that was about to begin.

Phillipus moved towards her Queen's ear. "Your Majesty, we cannot find her anywhere."

"She knows we're too busy with this to look properly." The Queen guessed.

The two contenders should be scrabbling desperately against each other, but the foreign woman easily restrained her adversary with a simple tackle.

The Queen grinded her teeth. "When Diana outgrows her little huff and decides to grace us with her presence, bring her to me."

"We can increase the search …" Phillipus was about to suggest.

One of the foreigners that was in "danger" of being pinned, had wriggled her arm from her opponent's grasp and grabbed her arm, breaking it.

The Amazon in question collapsed as her opponent stood victorious.

Hippolyta applauded politely, hiding her frustration. "First things first."

Some amazons were paired off against the women from outside, fiercely dueling with swords.

Adjudicators escorted the losers or carried off the injured, which in both cases have proven to be Amazons.

The first aid tent was filled with Amazons with assorted injuries; all had their helmets removed.

In the far corner, those in the beds had sheets draped over them.

On a darkened hill, the competitors were balancing, with one hand, on poles thrusting into the ground.

No matter how long the test took, none of the outsiders fell off.

This test prompted Sentry to fondly remember his time climbing the ranks back with the League of Shadows. 'It feels like an eternity ago, despite perfectly remembering every moment of it.'

An attendant approached Hippolyta. "The final trial, your Majesty. All is ready."

Hippolyta stood and left, the attendant following.

In the main stadium, the seats were packed.

Before, most Amazons felt unsure of cheering for their sisters' defeat. But with time, through sheer skill and might, the women from the skies had earned their respect.

Fourteen finalists remained.

Twelve of them were followers of Sentry, as both him and his generals (Dots and Faora) weren't participating.

Out of the twelve outsiders, none had bruises of any sort, which was impressive considering the condition of the other two Amazons. One being very tall and muscular while the other appeared to be very small in comparison.

Only wearing the cloth masks and under tunics they had been provided with, everyone stood proud.

Hippolyta, Sentry and a retinue of fourteen councillors entered the grounds, and the roar of the crowd faded to an expectant murmuring.

The finalists stood in a line, about a few yards away from the councillors, the Queen and Sentry were both flanked by seven councillors on each side, all facing a finalist.

As one, the finalists saluted.

Suddenly, with practiced swiftness, the councilors withdrew identical items from each box and pointed it at their respective finalists.

'A Colt M1911A1 .45 automatic?' Sentry mused. This must be a joke?'

The councilors then opened fire, aiming to kill.

The finalists began blocking the bullets with their bracelets, their arms almost blurring with speed.

But the guns were soon emptied.

The councilors instantly reloaded from their box, which was full to the brim with stacked, loaded magazines.

The look on what's visible on the finalists masked faces was zen-like concentration.

At least in appearance for the outsiders. Just like the previous tests, this one was child's play for them.

After quite a while of gunshots, one of the Amazons finalists finally fell, killed from a surprise headshot.

The fourteen councilors were now shooting randomly at the finalists.

But to Hippolyta's relief, the last remaining Amazon finalist stood her ground amongst the mighty strangers. Though the Queen was sure she wasn't one of the ones she had selected previously.

Her initial plan had failed.

Eventually, the councilors' guns run dry, along with their boxes of ammo.

The remaining masked warrior that was Amazon removed her mask.

It was Diana. Sweating and panting, eyes haggard. But nothing could remove the victory from her gaze.

Despite being almost a thousand years old, Diana had the appearance of a 13-year-old young girl, though her height and armor had been enough to make everyone believed she was a young woman.

Hippolyta's calm expression went away.

The Queen was suddenly hit with what her daughter had done, and what was almost done to her daughter.

Firm resolve crossed her face, and she started to move forward, intent on inflicting the Wrath of Mother when a hand clamped on her shoulder.

Sentry's expression told Hippolyta that this was something she couldn't control. He released the Queen and approached the dead Amazon.

To everyone's utter shock, Sentry actually raised her back to life.

None dared to call out on him for defying the natural law that their gods had established.

As he patted the back of the woman who was simply glad to be alive, the crowd broke into the stadium floor, flooding into the arena, and started to cheer their champions, as Diana and the other women were surrounded, and hoisted onto the shoulders by well-wishers.

Hippolyta's eyes reflected her total despair at the situation she found herself in.

She couldn't oppose her guests, they had both Power and the respect of her people.

The alliance was now her only alternative other than submission if they ever decided to drop the peaceful approach.

The Queen had only one last resort to assure their alliance would be respected.

There was no longer the time to wait for her daughter to awaken her bloodline.

Themyscira needed a champion now more than ever.

—————————————————————

With their value clearly proven by their "friendly tournament", Sentry had ordered his followers to earn the trust of the remaining Amazons.

The Queen had her guard too raised for him to attempt anything with her. And their blessings made them much resistant to his enslavement seal.

That's where his followers came in.

He had Faora disclose some combat training and military strategies with the more open generals, while still pointing out any flaw she could find on their own.

Dots was to befriend Alexa and other reputed scholars to share information with them. Mostly the best mankind had come up with in the past centuries.

And his children were to display their gifts, inadvertently painting themselves as divinities in the Amazons minds.

Zarola and Hadiza showed how attuned they were with nature by pacifying mythical creatures and having plants grow in an instant to the size of trees.

Elizabeth and Rory showed them Ice and Fire, Water and Lightning, Shadow and Light.

Lou and Mesumah, Earth and Air, Metal and Weather.

Valentina and Teneca, Magic and Gravity.

Carina and Eden were actually the ones that drew more attention from the people of the island.

Carina showed them the outside world in a blink of an eye. Visiting bustling cities like Gothic Metropolis, Mount Everest's peak, hot deserts like Furnace Creek and cold places like Oymyakon.

And Eden shocked them by making multiple clones of her. The Amazons weren't shy about flirting with them.

As for Koemi and Aeliana, the former did prove to be a formidable opponent as she folded her body into blades and extended them to absurd lengths, but the former decided to avoid the subject of her power.

Still, Koemi's prankster nature soon gained notice by the Amazons, not to the point of them becoming hostile, but enough to make a reputation for herself. With varying degrees of approval and disapproval.

And Aeliana's reserved nature and golden appearance earned the curiosity of the islanders.

However, Sentry was by far the most controversial individual of the group.

Not because of his misbehavior.

Simply by the fact that he was a man, in Paradise Island.

A considerably small group argued that he shouldn't be allowed to stay on Themyscira any longer, while others reasoned: "They had the worst man as their prisoner, why not the best of them as their ally?"

Sentry took the initiative to display his body by changing his clothes into a more traditional robe.

His height, muscles, looks and charisma were definitely striking a powerful blow to the Amazons' prejudice against men.

Through their body language, it was painfully obvious he had managed to "steal" a considerable amount of hearts.

Especially the one who had been bound by duty to guard and watch an immortal prisoner.

As the day became night, Sentry heard the Queen discussing a special ritual for her daughter.

Her goal with this was plain obvious to him.

She wanted to make a statement.

Though without considering the variations on that plan, it could easily backfire.

—————————————————————

A hand used a lit taper to light a bowl of oil on the ground, a pathway leading from the palace was lit with similar bowls.

A procession was heading down from the palace towards the main complex of temples.

The entire city was lit up at night.

Diana, wearing only a simple white robe, was at the front of the procession besides the other twelve champions, surrounded by several priestesses, all in service to different Gods in the Pantheon.

A central square (Agora) was in the middle of the 'temple district'.

The edges of the Agora were filled with onlookers, Amazons have found places on the tops of roofs, in windows, etc, at least half the Agora was kept clear by the Palace Guard.

The procession slowly filed into the Agora, where Hippolyta, Sentry and several senior priestesses were waiting.

Hippolyta had a carefully neutral expression standing besides the massive man. He reminded her of both Heracles and Zeus.

She had conflicting feelings about it.

Being the only to actually be Amazon, Diana was the one led to the exact centre, and she knelt, head bow.

The Queen tried to make eye contact with her daughter, but the princess kept her gaze elsewhere.

Unbeknown to her, Diana had already become close with the strangers from the sky.

A group in white robes approached Diana as the other champions looked from a distance; one senior priestess with a white band around her head, flanked by two junior priestesses holding bouquets of grain stalks.

Diana was guided to a standing position so she was eye to eye with the senior priestess.

"Prepare." The priestess said.

As one, everyone near her backed away (including the followers of Sentry) to the edges of the Agora.

The paving stones underneath Diana's bare feet suddenly crack with an expulsion of smoke and an orange glow.

The ground cracked even further, and started to slowly glow a darker and brighter orange.

The stones were melting, as the ground beneath her became lava.

Diana began to sink into the magma, her face stowing the strain of hiding the pain she was in, up to her legs…waist…chest…

Hippolyta's hands trembled; she covered one with the other to still them.

Diana's face finally submerged into the lava, her hair trailing behind to be absorbed without a trace.

Everyone stood still as the lava quickly cooled, turning obsidian black.

The crowd watched, waiting, as the last of the smoke faded into the air.

A blackened fist explosively punched through the melted ground.

Another fist and arm shoved its way through the ground, levering a small tar-black body out of the new hole in the Earth, glowing orange cracks webbing along the entire surface of this earth creature.

The female creature heaved itself up and out, stumbling to the ground, trembling with effort and pain and screams, bashing both fists on the ground, the entire ground shuddering as a foot-wide crack extended along the ground directly from the impact point, until it made contact with a large building, the structure immediately imploding due to the force.

The creature stared at its hands, the orange glow and dark colours fading, until the pink flesh was revealed.

Diana looked at her hands, and the damage she caused.

The Priestesses produced a red robe for the now naked Diana, the senior smiling.

"Accept the gift of Demeter, Champion of the Amazons; the unlimited strength and endurance of the Earth itself."

Demeter's priestesses fell back to Hippolyta, as another group of priestesses, the senior holding a wand made of ivory made its way to the still recovering Diana.

"Accept the gifts of Hermes, Champion of the Amazons …"

The senior placed the wand underneath Diana's chin, and lifted it. Lifting Diana with the wand and…

"... the speed of the Gods …"

Her feet were now two feet off the ground. The priestess removed the wand and Diana was floating above the ground unsupported.

"... and the power of flight."

Diana floated in place, amazed at this sensation and caught the disapproving gaze of the Queen.

Diana descended. Hermes' priestesses moved aside, to allow a group of three bearing polished boxes.

"Accept the gifts of Hephaestus, Champion of the Amazons..."

The senior opened her box, revealing a magnificent sword with an end widening to an ovoid shape; a slightly longer Xiphos.

From the crowd, something flew at Diana, she drew the sword and stroked it.

It hit the ground, cracking the stones underneath it.

It was a solid metal sphere; basically an oversized cannonball, now in two perfect halves.

"The sword. No substance, creature, mortal or not can resist it's blade."

The senior lowered the empty box and took another one from her junior.

This one was larger, made of gold and had a Centaur archer emblem.

It opened to reveal a golden armor, with a golden bow.

"This cloth had been worn by our greatest warrior. When mankind enslaved the Amazons, our Queen freed us. But someone had to stay behind to hold back the tide of man so the others could escape to Themyscira. My people gave up all of their armor to make her one suit strong enough to take on the whole world, and she sacrificed herself for a better day for others. Her name was Asteria." The senior said, storing the armor back to the golden box and handing it to Diana.

The senior took the last box, and opened it, revealing a gold coiled rope. It glowed, like metal taken fresh from the furnace.

"The Golden Lasso of Truth. Forged from the ever renewing Girdle of Gaea itself. When bound, none can lie or evade your questions."

Diana takes the Lasso. Hefts it experimentally.

One more group of priestesses come forward, all wearing crowns of laurel leaves.

"Accept the Gift of Apollo, Champion of the Amazons."

The senior offered her a shield.

Diana took it.

On the outside was a circle of faintly glowing yellow inscriptions set in a hoplite shield, surrounding a diagram of a design that resembled a wind rose.

Diana looked at the priestess quizzically.

"Made of the same material of our bracelets, reminders of our oppressed past, this shield will withstand even the wrath of the gods."

It was then that her mother stood in front of her. Queen Hippolyta took her hand.

Diana winced in pain, immediately jerking her hand back, only to find that her palm had been sliced open.

Surprised, she looked at Hippolyta, holding a small, bloodied dagger.

"Be warned. It was the sin of arrogance that led to our fall in Man's World. To prevent that sin, the Gods decreed that even due to your great strength, even substances as soft as bronze can still pierce you, harm you."

Diana looked at the wound; it was healing fast, already sealed up.

Hippolyta turned and headed to the stairs.

At that moment Diana was lost for words. She had finally earned the independence she had always desired.

After much celebration between both people, Diana approached the Champion God Sentry during their feast.

"You've yet to reveal to my sisters that you claim to be a god." She remarked with more confidence than she had back to their first encounter. "I've seen articles about you from magazines that were washed up onto our shores."

"Any being who must say, "I am a God" is no true God." Sentry revealed with a wide and charismatic smile. " I've only revealed myself to mankind as such so we could coexist better. You see, I've knowledge regarding much beyond the existence of this small planet. I've heard of Old and New Gods. I prefer to believe that I and the ones following me would be The True Gods." He chuckled. "But it's to my understanding that actions speak louder than words. Especially with your people."

"Indeed." Diana admitted. "It's funny, on the same day I met the last God of my people, I met the first of your… Pantheon."

"Perhaps it was fate." Sentry told her.

"You think?" She asked, blushing a little while misunderstanding his meaning.

"Indeed, we are both champions now." He said, reading her like a book. "That said, I did find it funny that my control over Zeus power's had dimmed ever so slightly when we first met. The god of gods had left a daughter behind. Perhaps as a last resort against his dreaded son, or perhaps he simply felt attracted to one of your people."

"Your… control… over Zeus's powers?" Diana asked, completely startled by his words. "And what is this talk about a Demigod among us?"

"You tell me, you are the one emanating lightning." Sentry pointed with a shrug.

"What are you talking about…" Diana began, but noticing the lightning traveling around her fingers, she yanked backwards.

Before anyone else could notice it, the lightning had vanished from her.

"H-how?!" Diana muttered. "Me? Daughter of Zeus?"

"If the legends were to be trusted, that's not actually an impossible feat. He was after all well known for, if you forgive my indiscretion, being a skirt chaser." Sentry remarked. "Actually being the daughter of the Queen of the Amazons though, that would have to be the most rare occurrence in my opinion."

"S-she had never told me about it." Diana revealed. "Always treating me as if I was made of glass. Telling me how she sculpted me from clay and sand."

"Must be quite a lot to consider all at once." He said. "Forgive me, I merely mentioned it believing you already knew it." He lied.

"You need not ask for forgiveness. You were only speaking the truth, contrary to my mother." She told him. "So, does my existence threaten your powers?"

Sentry laughed. "Not at all child. The powers that belonged to Zeus are far from being the only tool I've got at my disposal."

"I see. But still, I feel bad for it. Perhaps if there was a way for me to forfeit them. You know, since I'm now the champion of my people it wouldn't do to have our alliance threatened by such a matter."

"You put too little faith in us, my princess. Neither me nor my allies will cause trouble for your people over such matters." Sentry said, hiding a smirk. "But if you wish to know, there are two ways for a deity to give up their control over a power of law. Either by death or by a pact."

"Power of Law?" Diana questioned.

"Power of Law is basically what one would refer to as a deity's godly powers. At its heart, they are actually made of flowing inscription patterns. Each law is formed by their own mysterious equation and works together to create the structure of our reality." He told her.

"I see. Your knowledge really knows no bounds, Champion God." Diana complimented him, before making another question. "And what sort of pact are we talking about?"

"All sorts are valid. Like a vow, the important thing is that both parties are fully aware of what they are giving up, or receiving."

"I understand."

"Now, if you would allow me to ask, why hasn't your people dealt with the infamous God of War?" Sentry questioned, already knowing the answer. "I mean doesn't your sword possess the capability of harming both mortals and immortals?"

"It's not that simple. We could literally cut a god into a thousand pieces, but only a god can kill another god." She revealed, immediately remembering a recent discovery.

"And what about a Demigod?" Sentry asked, already knowing the answer, but faking ignorance. "Perhaps if the God was weak and the Demigod was empowered by another God."

Diana widened her eyes.

—————————————————————

After becoming the champion of her people, Diana had earned full authority to come and go whenever and wherever she pleased. As long as she didn't directly harm her people.

Still planning on dealing with Steppenwolf, Sentry switched the Mother Box of the Amazons with a false one that would still draw his attention to Paradise Island.

And with it, he had his second Mother Box, which boosted the one he already had by a considerable margin.

Entering the cave that kept Ares prisoner, Sentry saw Persephone looking at him with glistening eyes, completely ignoring the words from the fallen God.

"Little one, you have returned. Diana, isn't it?" Ares asked, malice clear in his facial expression. "Don't tell me your mother has finally told you that we are family."

Ares' words confirmed to Diana that everything Sentry spoke was true.

"And who are you, big guy?" Ares asked, glaring at Sentry. "Another Demigod? Hehehe, don't tell me Hippolyta has actually had two children with my father. No, it can't be, you look much older than this kid."

But feeling the aura Sentry had intentionally hidden this far, he became erratic. "What is an outsider doing here? You are not supposed to be here!"

Suddenly, Diana's aura multiplied several times over, as her young body shifted into the one of a fully grown woman.

Though her height and body made justice to the name of Amazon. Finally being comparable to even Sentry.

"You have been transformed to your full potential, Diana Prince." Sentry informed her, recalling how the old wizard spoke to him. However, unlike the sorcerer, Sentry had not given up any of his powers, only conceding what was never meant to be tapped by him personally. "No longer vulnerable to weak metals like bronze. By remaining faithful to our pact, you will be capable of shifting in between this form of yours whenever you desire. Now, for what we have discussed before…"

"Yes." Diana replied, immediately drawing her sword and cutting open Ares' cell and shackles.

"FOOL!" The fallen god shouted, his power quickly replenishing itself. "YOU DARE CHALLENGE ME?! THE GOD OF OLYMPUS?!"

Sentry could see the Godly Power Ares had usurped from his fellow Olympians weren't being used to their fullest.

And before the God of War had the time to become a threat, Diana swiftly decapitated him.

The attack was so fast that Ares didn't notice he was dead before it was too late.

Vanishing in a dark cloud of sulfur and shining golden blood, Diana felt a sudden rush of power being drawn to her.

But before such power could be incorporated into her, she shook Sentry's hand in the Spartan way.

"In the name of the pact between the Amazons and the True Gods, I accept it's terms." She declared, from her own volition.

"As do I." Sentry replied, feeling the powers of the Olympians flowing through him.

Before Diana could even blink, time came to a complete halt. On the verge of going backwards.

It was too much, even for him.

Especially for him, since beings like Ares were incapable of even perceiving a fraction of it.

He had to prioritize which Laws he wanted to comprehend, so he decided to content himself with the Twelve Olympians for now.

As the God of Communication he was honored as the patron of eloquence.

POSEIDON

As the Lord of the Sea, Poseidon had absolute control and divine authority over water in all forms and states of matter. He could unleash gigantic tsunamis and tidal waves, create gigantic water funnel clouds, and bring about both floods and droughts.

Not to mention creating water from his own power, generating it out of nothing.

Poseidon also had absolute control and divine authority over all sea creatures, as well as many fearsome monsters native to the sea.

Not to mention the right to rule Atlantis.

ZEUS

On multiple occasions, Zeus was stated to be the most powerful god, easily making a hydrogen bomb look like a firecracker in comparison.

As the God of the Sky, Zeus had absolute control over the weather and air, capable of creating any weather condition and having absolute control over air. Which included clouds and air waves.

As the God of Weather, he had absolute control and divine authority over rain, as well choosing whether it's going to rain, or even deciding when it should stop. Not to mention capable of flooding the entire planet.

As the God of Thunder and Lightning, Zeus had absolute control over both static and celestial electricity.

Unlike the other gods, who could only remove the immortality they gifted themselves, Zeus could strip another god of their immortality and godly powers.

He could remove the powers of other gods, even powerful gods like Poseidon and Apollo and reduce them to practically mortals.

As the God of Justice and Honor, Zeus had a say in what was considered just by mortals.

And to him and his followers, Olympus would be available.

—————————————————————

It was quite a lot to comprehend, let alone master.

Thankfully, he had been collecting and polishing his Hax abilities since his birth.

It was in moments like these that his Kryptonian Intellect, Wisdom of Solomon and God Perception had proven invaluable to not only his success, but also his sanity.

Though he was sure that after such tremendous boost to his already ludicrous intellect, it would take much more than that to challenge him.

Still reflecting about all the Power of Law he had absorbed, in the fraction it took for Diana to blink, Sentry had some doubts.

How did Ares manage to defeat such deities alone?

The War of the Gods must have been quite the event for him.

Like a blue sun to a Kryptonian.

Then again, he was still defeated by Zeus and incapable of comprehending any of the Laws he had stolen.

As Diana finally blinked, Sentry spoke.

"Now, it simply wouldn't make for you to remain as mere a Demigod. Diana Prince, from this day onwards, you shall be known as the Goddess of War. Not corrupted by the conflict, but sovereign of True Peace and Just War."

Diana had not expected this unfold of events to end up like this. But hearing Sentry's words, from the man that had told the truth her own mother had not, she had quickly made her mind up.

"I accept."

"Then make good use of the ability to manipulate war, strife, combat, bloodlust, rage and other forms of conflict, as Goddess of War, the one who has the power to influence all forms of conflict including mental, physical, spiritual and conceptual ones, regardless of the area and numbers involved." Sentry told Diana, making her his herald.

"Control how they progress and take power both from the conflict alone as well as the dying. You now can start conflicts by influencing peoples or events, raising personal and fanatical armies, control and create weapons of every kind and even grant others extensive abilities of combat."

Diana now had the incredible power of invoking war and chaos within an enormously large radius, ranging from a city to an entire continent.

With this power, she would have full control over the city or continent that was in war and chaos at the time.

And perhaps with enough power she could influence an entire planet, solar system or galaxy.

"Allow me to rework your arsenal. And when I'm done, you will have an immeasurable variety of weapons including ancient Greek and Roman javelins, axes, swords, maces, knives, shields, spears, and flails, all forged by me using the powers of law from both fire and blacksmithing I that belonged to Hephaestus." He added taking her sword and shield, reworking its design with nth metal and better enchantments.

"In truth, I will expand it to Celtic spears, Roman Helmets, Middle Eastern scimitars, Arthurian swords, as well as Native American axes. Soon, you also have available more modern weapons, such as a variety of different firearms, gases, rays and explosives." He said, grasping her bracelets and doing the same.

He equipped Diana with Asteria's armor, overhauling it as well. "Not to mention the war creations humanity (like Wayne Enterprises and LuthorCorp) had been developing for the past years. With luck, some alien weaponry will prove to be worthy candidates as well." As he finished with the armor, Diana extended her metallic wings to its full glory.

"I thank you for the power." Diana replied, extremely humbled by the act and immediately thinking about ways of how she could find balance between war and peace.

"You don't need to. We have made a pact." He remarked.

"I know. But still, I'm thankful." Diana replied with a smile.

"Since I want you to not only be comparable to your late half-brother, I will give you this…" Sentry started before summoning a Magical Skull. "The Seven Deadly Sins."

While still wearing her helmet, he could still see Diana raising her eyebrow, not in disapproval, but in surprise.

"Since I'm burdening you with this thankless purpose, having you preserve peace through war, I will offer you the chance of preserving virtue through sin." Sentry told her, handing over the skull.

It wasn't the very same orb Thaddeus Sivana had made use of. In a way, this was a perfected version of it.

No longer would its users be influenced by the sins, or have their eyes fused with it. Only empowered by them and their nature.

"You see, my dear, conflict doesn't rise only due to Wrath. Wars had also been waged due to Lust, Pride, Gluttony, Greed, Envy and even Sloth." Sentry reasoned. "You will find those thinking that Wars and Sins cannot be tempered. Only quelled. I say, use the darkness in servitude of the light. For one cannot exist without the other."

Diana nodded and the skull was absorbed by her, slowly carving patterns all over her armor and equipment.

Sentry handed her The Golden Lasso of Truth. "And the truth loses its meaning without lies."

In a blink of an eye, her weapons and armor, alongside her magical form, vanished. Leaving the young looking Diana in its place.

Sentry smiled and placed a hand over her shoulders, Persephone, who had been there in silence this whole time, hugged his arm with an expression of pure devotion to him."In the name of everything that is good. I welcome you, Goddess of War, Sin and Lie, Preserver of Peace, Virtue and Truth, to my Pantheon of True Gods."
