House of Elzod part 1

Faora gasped, the serum she had just taken had immediately begun showing its effects on her body.

"How can a mere needle pierce my skin so easily?" She asked, wanting to distract herself from the creeping pain.

"Magic infused blades negate most of your defenses. That's mostly why I insisted on you wearing the armor I crafted for you." Sentry told her, interested in how his newest serum was affecting his paramour on an atomic level. "But I expect this will stop being a problem after you master the new ability I'm giving you."

"I see." Faora winced, feeling her bones and muscles aching in pain. As she used her own supervision, she noticed why. "It's almost unbelievable how quickly my cells are being remodeled. The pain helps make it more convincing, though that doesn't explain what I'm turning into."

"This serum is enhancing you beyond our ancestors that roamed prehistoric and hostile krypton. Thanks to an Evolutionary Function I've designed, which works by placing any selected species in a simulation right down to its DNA for an extended period of time about a million years or so in a 'worst-case scenario'; the actual DNA is then simply modified to match the new species. Survival of the fittest at its finest and with no sacrifice to your intellect. Always in control."

Faora noticed her skin increasing its density several times over, her cells were now even more hungry for solar radiation than they had ever been before, and some changes to her appearance began to occur.

She had several bony protrusions emerging from her body, coating her under a chainmail-like armor with scales and plates, along with a few spikes on her knuckles and at the tip of her fingers.

Her hair turned light grey along with bones emerging over her eyes, simulating a bony crown.

Faora inspected and flexed her arms as her bony spikes pierced through her armor of nth metal and kryptonian alloy as if it was made of paper.

"In control?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Whenever you feel you can't control what's happening, challenge yourself to control the way you respond to what's happening. That's where true power lies." Sentry said, approaching her and noticing she had grown almost to his height. "You were bred to be a warrior, my dear. Trained your entire life to master your senses." He placed a hand on her chin and stared at her scarlet eyes. "I know you can do it."

Faora stared back at his icy blue eyes and nodded.

Slowly but surely, the protrusions and the grey pigmentation of her skin shifted back to her normal appearance.

Her advanced armor adjusted to her regular size, already rapidly self repairing the damage it had sustained previously.

Sentry smiled before kissing her forehead. "Well done."

Before Faora had the chance to say anything, they were interrupted.

[I've done as you ordered, master.] Dots announced as she phased out of the floor. [Your children have proven themselves on par to Krypton's brightest scientists. They are all in perfect health and have been rapidly assimilating yellow sun radiation. As for your interest in meta-genes, I'm glad to inform you that all twelve of them have shown signs of potential to manifest abilities beyond their kryptonian physiology.]

Sentry smiled. "Excellent, have them ready for tryouts."

[Yes sir.] Dots replied, lingering for a moment before phasing back to the ground.

"This form of yours has been boosted beyond your normal level, making you a match for my children, but it's your transformation that holds your current trump card." Sentry told her. "Keep improving on the duration of your transformations for now."

"I will." She replied. "But how about you? Aren't you taking it too? Won't the serum benefit you as well?"

"The one I gave you isn't capable of providing any significant augmentation to my physical strength." He said. "I've crafted one for me that makes me more adaptable to possible threats. Despite how hard it might be, I can now bleed to the brink of death, have every bone in my body crushed, and it would only make me even more powerful."

"Indeed a worthy improvement for you, my love." Faora replied a little startled.

Sentry nodded and made his way to test his children, having high hopes for valuable metagene powers.

—————————————————————

Sentry descended in a circular viewing deck attached to the ceiling of a massive sealed up chamber, which held all the controls that powered the room below.

Underneath it, a massive spherical chamber that could produce holographic images that felt, smelled, sounded, and, most likely, could even taste like real things.

Kryptonian nanotechnology enhanced by the mother box in his possession, and with Dots acting as the tactical computer matrix.

Using the advanced technology with Magical wards, the entire room could be given the illusion of being many times bigger than it actually was.

He could even command it to generate pseudo life forms thanks to his constantly improving comprehension of the life and anti-life equations.

Anything from gravity, heat, humidity, or texture could have been manipulated from the control booth by Dots.

Inspired by the Xmen's danger room, and the reverse concept of his Oasis, Sentry designed it to test his new pantheon without causing catastrophic damage to Earth or other nearby planetoids.

Especially when they reach the solar system level.

Approaching the twelve kryptonian women he had brought to life, he saw them all kneeling.

"Master." They all said in unison, some now carrying accents they had shown likeness to, acknowledging his authority.

Sentry simply smiled and nodded as Dots spoke. [All rise!]

They did as ordered, their eyes still shining with curiosity and respect.

Dots approached him and said. [Master, as you've instructed, they are ready to test their new powers.]

"Excellent." Sentry said before descending towards the room below, the environment quickly morphing in a white blank room. "So, shall we?"

Dots nodded and signaled for one of the women to follow him.

As Sentry watched the first subject land on a nearby position, he observed her.

Before analyzing their meta powers, he wanted to better understand the individuals that were serving him.

He had made them so their existence would be tied to his.

They weren't simply binded to his will like soulless puppets, but actually an extension of it.

Through their connection, he knew them better than they knew themselves.

Interestingly enough, the first one was the one that Sentry first met after their birth.

The one that tested the waters and rushed at him.

Though in retrospect, she gets ashamed every time she remembers their first encounter. Viewing it as an act of insubordination.

Valentina-Elzod, a tall young woman with Italian roots, medium length wavy black hair with strands hanging over her years and bright cyan colored eyes with a curvy voluptuous frame.

Among her sisters, she stood out as quick-thinking, logical, analytical with a noticeable inclination to lead.

She wanted to be seen as the most mature, level-headed and composed of her sisters. Though that could also lead her to be fussy, bossy, arrogant and overly analytical at times.

Valentina often tried to play peacemaker between her sisters, but ironically enough, she was just as quick to argue with those amongst them who act on impulse as opposed to her analytical nature.

She idolizes Sentry and deeply fears the possibility of disappointing him or failing to meet his expectations.

Constantly polishing her powers seeking to master and perfect them. Scheming up strategies and plans to accomplish tasks she might be expected to fulfill eventually.

"How have your kryptonian abilities progressed so far my child?" Sentry finally asked as he began walking circles around her.

"Perfettamente, master. I'm fasta, strrong and smarrt." Not stuttering with her words despite the heavy Italian accent, Valentina spoke looking forward with a disciplined expression.

Just like her sisters, she was perfectly capable of speaking proper English, but the 'foreign' pronunciation was pleasant to her.

Personally, Sentry didn't mind it, but Dots and Faora had voiced their disapproval.

"Good." Sentry hummed, his supervision finally focusing on what her metagenes were capable of doing. "Your electromagnetic aura is slightly different from before. Its energy is… very familiar."

He brought his hand up and channeled his Magic, making a sphere of pure magical energy.

"Can you do this, my child?" He asked her.

Valentina tilted her head. "Mi scuso master, but what esattamente am I supposed to do?"

"Are you not familiar with Magic?" Sentry asked, knowing his children had become very enthusiastic with pop culture in general. "Look for the energy you and I have in common that the others don't, shape it through your will like I just did."

"Io…ma … of course." She wavered a little but quickly recomposed herself.

She began raising her hand emulating his previous action and focusing on the electromagnetic aura that enveloped her body.

After a brief moment of concentration, a sphere, although not as large nor as bright as his, manifested in the palm of her hand.

"A kryptonian capable of using Magic." Sentry smiled. "Or to be more precise…a Kryptonian-magi."

As Valentina widened her eyes, she was familiarized with the term thanks to the data that Dots had provided to her and her sisters.

Her master had just mentioned a long extinct hominid species from the now-destroyed planet Krypton.

Like their Earth counterpart the Homo-Magi, they were beings born with the ability to use magic.

If the records were accurate, the Valley of Juru was known as a focal point for unharnessed magical energies, being the local Kryptonians had evolved into Kryptonian-Magi as a result of their exposure to these energies.

With time, these Kryptonians had learnt the arts of magic, being capable of great acts of sorcery and wizardry.

The Wizards of Juru were once high level users of magic on Krypton, studying Occultism and Mysticism they called 'The way of Rao'.

At the height of Kryptonian civilization, the Valley of Juru was merely a desolate ruin on the alien planet.

Through magic they could develop abilities such as telekinesis, telepathy, astral projection, elemental manipulation, teleport, flight, energy projection, molecular manipulations and other countless abilities.

And that was all without being exposed to yellow or blue sun radiation.

Interestingly enough, a Kryptonian-Magi could have a few perks compared to its non-magical counterpart.

Such as…

Sentry approached her and waved his hand in a magical gesture, only for a regular dagger to manifest.

He asked for Valentina's hand and she offered it without hesitation.

The weapon he had in hand was very sharp, but as he sliced, it proved incapable of cutting her skin.

Even after enveloping it with magic, he noticed the blade wasn't capable of harming her.

Sentry smiled at her. "It seems you have a natural resistance against magic."

Valentina nodded with a serious expression, but he knew that she was very happy about it.

"But let me warn you." Sentry suddenly said, as he switched the regular dagger, by one made of Nth metal. As he charged with the same amount of magic, her skin was finally cut. "For now, with enough magic, your resistance might be ignored. Work diligently on it and perhaps you might even become immune altogether."

Valentina lowered her head in respect, the wound on her hand already healing itself. "Sí master."

"I speak from experience that your magical aura can supplement your natural defenses. Like magic, there are still some things that can harm an enhanced kryptonian." He told her. "Chief among them, radioactive minerals from our homeland planet. Green can weaken and even kill with enough exposure, golden outright eliminates the ability to process sunlight, black splits into multiple personalities, red is a wildcard with unexpected consequences while blue acts as an antidote to it."

She heeded his words, not doubting anything.

"But master, if they siamo rare, shouldn't we seek and destroy them tutti?" Valentina asked respectfully.

"Unfortunately that would be useless in the end. Throughout the multiverse, they are not only common, but also well known for their effectiveness against kryptonians." Sentry said. "You would do better to seek immunity against it."

"Sí master." She replied formally. "Io will research il tutto there is about Magia and master this power of mine."

Sentry could see her devotion to make him proud. "Don't worry my child. I've been writing everything I know about magic in case I had any ally who could benefit from the knowledge. I grant you access to my personal library."

That prompted her to bow down on her knees. "I-I… non sono worthy, master."

"Nonsense my child." Sentry said, placing a hand under her chin. "Worthiness has nothing to do with it."

They both rose to their full height.

"I will be periodically aiding you with your practical studies, you only need to apply yourself through my collection on the mystic arts."

"Certamente master." Valentina said.

Speaking of magic…

Kryptonian Magic had its own schools of magic.

But that was something his magical wisdom didn't know much about.

Thankfully, his eidetic memory allowed him to recall minor details from his previous life.

Remembering the content of what he merely glanced past, like some articles on the internet, were great examples of it.

Besides their basic level of manipulation and connection to each element, the most known branches had some unique abilities.

Kryptonian Fire magic could heal others and be effective with breaking magic spells. And also, potentially restore kryptonian powers.

Kryptonian Water magic allowed one to possess others, mind control them, place others under a form of temporal stasis and also transfer essences.

Kryptonian Air magic was effective with breaking possession and creating matter from nothing.

Kryptonian Earth magic allowed one to produce sunstones and theoretically enable them to see through lead.

Valentina wasn't limited by their traditions though, she had countless other schools of magic by this Earth's magical communities and fictional possibilities.

All in all, she had power in its purest (and possibly most chaotic) form.

Though Sentry will warn her to watch out for possible limitations.

Like its price.

It could range from something as insignificant as spending the necessary mana required to activate her magic, to a part of her sanity, or even some price too steep to pay, like her own life.

Also, another's magic should still be enough to overcome hers if it proves to be stronger.

Magic Resistance/Immunity might prove to be a problem. As would Magic Sealing/Negation. But Magic Destruction (or anti-magic) would be the perfect counter.

Inner problems could also be just as problematic since Magic is known to be unpredictable, especially if one isn't skilled or is interrupted in a crucial moment.

Results might range from amusing to annoying but correctable, to destructive to lethal, or even catastrophic to apocalyptic.

After helping her perform a few spells and charms, Sentry tested his theories and measured her limitations.

Eventually he sent Valentina away and called forth the next subject.

—————————————————————

Teneca-Elzod, a tall young woman with native indigenous roots, long length and straight raven-black hair with sideburns that sometimes cover her ears and flat bangs that end above her eyebrows.

A statuesque athletic figure with broad shoulders and heavily voluptuous, as seen by her curvy hourglass figure.

She was sweet and likable. Although self aware that she's not as smart as Valentina, she was incredibly wise.

From what Dots had informed him, she frequently got a little emotionally hyperactive at times, but quickly turned meek and silent when accidentally saying something wise.

"Grreetings master." Teneca said respectfully, with a noticeable Russian accent. "If I may, I believe I've noticed some signs vith my powerrs zat might help deduct which new ability I…might… manifest."

Sentry could see she began with confidence, but by the end of her sentence, her body language revealed she was becoming anxious.

"Please, do go on."

"O-Of kourrse." She cleared her throat. "I-I noticed durring my flight exercises zat grravity has been fluctuating unnaturally. So I vould assume it has something to do vith the forrce… zat attrracts a physikal body vith mass…tovarrds another."

"Gravikinesis." Sentry remarked with interest.

Now blushing, Teneca nodded.

"Let me see." He said before signaling for Dots to change the environment to a more appropriate one.

Suddenly, many large dumbbells appeared around them.

Instead with the usual sets of 10 to 30 lbs, there were some with hundreds and even thousands of tonnes around them.

But a few of them went even beyond that.

"I'm sure it's not that hard for you to go through the initial ones, but I want to see you go through all of them." Sentry ordered and Teneca complied, not knowing the chamber would slowly emit imperceptible waves of red sun radiation.

And just like her sisters, she wasn't a mere kryptonian empowered by yellow sun radiation.

Saying that she was strong was a massive understatement.

"You said that you've noticed unnatural behavior with gravity while you were flying." Sentry said as Teneca was halfway done with the first sets of dumbbells. "Try to replicate that same feeling."

She nodded and focused her mind on the feeling she had experienced.

Not only did the heavier dumbbells seem to become lighter, but the ones nearby her began to shake a little.

Similar to how in Man of Steel Superman lifted a few pebbles before taking flight.

Gravity manipulation.

Sometimes confused with "Telekinesis", it is a term used to describe the ability of some characters to manipulate or otherwise control the gravity of objects, people or the source of gravity itself.

It would allow one to increase or decrease gravity, be it the environment or individual objects.

Increasing gravity would make everything in an area heavier, propelling loose objects to the ground, immobilizing people or crushing them depending on the gravity increase.

When doing the exact opposite, decreasing gravity, the user could achieve a similar effect to Zero Gravity with all objects floating upwards, or lift heavier objects with astonishing ease due to the decreased weight.

With enough control and skill, one could attract or repel objects regardless of direction, achieving an effect almost indistinguishable from Telekinesis, ignoring or defying the laws of gravity altogether, and allowing one to walk on walls/ceilings or manipulate orbital fields on anything.

Some users could even control their own gravitational field, allowing them to move faster, be more agile, conserve stamina, all by decreasing the pull of gravity on themselves.

Perhaps she might gain some boost to her flight as well.

Master-level users should be able to induce zero gravity at will, generate black holes or exert power over the inverse of gravity, anti-gravity.

So in retrospect…

In combat, gravity manipulation was one of the most versatile of powers, allowing one to achieve great offensive and defensive capabilities.

Offensive uses will include repelling enemies with force, killing them instantly depending on the force, increasing gravity to crush or immobilize opponents, or hurling large objects at their enemy with astonishing force and speed by decreasing the pull of gravity on said objects.

Defensive uses will include creating a gravitational force field to repel all attacks (similar to anti-gravity) or anchoring oneself to the ground to tank heavy physical attacks, or even by decreasing gravity of an attack to weaken its potency and speed.

Some could manage to move entire planets, stars, and even galaxies with their power.

The most powerful users of gravity manipulation would be able to control the space-time continuum, warping reality, manipulating time and space.

But some limitations should be expected other than lacking skill.

The user might be unable to create gravity, only being limited to manipulating gravity from already existing sources.

Which would make it almost useless in areas with no gravity. In normal circumstances this is not much of an issue since basically everything has gravity.

But the limitation would still exist.

Especially for a Kryptonian that could venture into deep space.

The power may also be centered around the user at all times, in which case the user could only attract/repel relative to/from only their current location.

Last but not least, gravity is the weakest of the fundamental forces, so this power may lose out against manipulations of the other forces.

Teneca still had a lot to learn about her new power.

Despite her great insight, she was still unable to manipulate gravity however she saw fit.

But that shouldn't take long to change.

Teneca finished lifting all the weights with a better understanding of her meta power.

Next…

Rory-Elzod was pale-skinned with a slender body, a round face, a light dusting of freckles, long curly red hair and hazel eyes.

She looked at Sentry, her cool aloofness could be seen as arrogance by those who didn't know her well enough.

Thankfully, that wasn't the case for him.

Rory was naturally introverted compared to her sisters.

Mostly quiet, reserved, and thoughtful.

She doesn't seek out special attention, but not due to shyness.

Sentry could immediately tell that was her honest behavior, as her body language clearly showed signs of her deep respect for him.

"Greetings my child!" Sentry told her. "So, have you noticed anything out of the ordinary going with you?"

"Ay master." She said, in the Scottish accent she had taken preference for. "A can heat things up… without usin ma heat vision."

"Show me what you can do." He ordered.

"Ay master." She nodded and raised both hands at the height of her chest.

With both of them having thermal vision, the subtle variation on the air temperature was clearly noticed by both of them.

Similar to how he could discharge solar energy through his optic nerves, Rory seemed capable of doing so with her entire body.

Kinda like his Flare power. Though not yet at the same potency he was capable of performing.

With her reserves of energy rapidly fluctuating, Sentry deduced that even though her meta-powers were overly dependent on her solar charge, it also somehow imbued her cells with the capacity of recharging themselves.

Similar to how his long sessions of exposure to the nearby sun altered his physiology, but not nearly as efficiently as the speed force allowed him to generate it.

Still…

Flames began covering her body, not even close to being enough to harm her with its heat, but the flames didn't seem to be ready to be put out either.

It perfectly matched her red curly hair as she channeled it to dance around her body.

"Pyrokinesis." Sentry deducted, prompting Rory to show one of her rare smiles.

Seems a little underwhelming compared to the previous powers her other two sisters had displayed.

With it, users could create, shape and manipulate fire, the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products, flame being the visible portion of the fire.

'Perhaps it could evolve into Electrokinesis.' He mused seeing how quickly Rory proved to be mastering her ability.

A downgraded version of his godly power from Zeus.

Which would still allow her to create, shape and manipulate electricity, a form of energy resulting from the movement of charged particles (such as electrons or protons), allowing control over electric fields, all charge carriers (Ions, Electrons, Protons, and Positrons), and electronics.

'Or perhaps even Lumokinesis.' He came back to his Solar Flare theory.

Shaping and manipulation of visible light, commonly referred to as light, which was electromagnetic radiation that was visible to the human eye, and was responsible for the sense of sight.

Primary properties of visible light were intensity, propagation direction, frequency or wavelength spectrum, and polarization, while its speed in a vacuum (299,792,458 meters per second/186,000 MPS) was one of the fundamental constants of nature.

Visible light (to humans), as with all types of electromagnetic radiation (EMR), was experimentally found to always move at this speed in a vacuum.

In common with all types of EMR, visible light was emitted and absorbed in tiny "packets" called photons and exhibits properties of both waves and particles.

If it proves to be even more than that, say manipulation of all forms of energy, then that would be a different story.

Create, shape and manipulate energy, the capacity or ability to cause change or do work (one of the most basic quantitative properties of a system), such as an object or a field of energy.

Energy could be transformed (converted) among a number of forms that may each manifest and be measurable in differing ways.

It should be noted though, that the law of conservation of energy states that the (total) energy of a system could increase or decrease only by transferring it in or out of the system, thus the total energy of a system could be calculated by simple addition when it was composed of multiple non-interacting parts or has multiple distinct forms of energy.

Rory could prove vulnerable against anti-energy and possibly limited by the nature of her own power.

I wonder if cosmic energy could be achieved too.

That certainly would be preferable to mere Pyrokinesis, since any Kryptonian skilled enough with heat vision could already achieve similar results.

—————————————————————

Elizabeth-Elzod had a tall and slender build, icy blue eyes and long platinum-blonde hair, with porcelain white skin.

Contrary to Rory, Elizabeth was much more socially approachable, assertive and cheerful. She sought out novelty and excitement, clearly enjoying always being the center of attention.

Though with a more introspective observation, she also had no qualms with disrespecting common ethics and didn't have any moral belief against killing.

Not that he planned to make her be different, but it was still a very significant piece of her personality to keep in mind.

"So my child, I see that your hair has changed since your birth." Sentry began, almost concerned that it was supposed to be all there was to her power. "Have you noticed anything about you that has changed outside of what was already expected?"

"I believe I do, master." She nodded with a faint grin as she retrieved a small container from her belt. As the metallic cylinder opened up, she gestured with her fingers in a motion resembling a puppeteer, and a column of water rose up and curled into a ball inches above her hand.

Despite Dots informing the girls to not test their powers without supervision, Elizabeth has been playing around with the rules and found a way of training without deliberately breaking them.

But Dots had seen right through it and would've acted to stop her if Sentry hadn't ordered her to not intervene.

"Hydrokinesis!" Elizabeth almost shouted in her British accent as she puffed her chest.

Again, not bad, but still not nearly good enough.

With it, users could create, shape, and manipulate water, inorganic compounds with liquid, gas (steam, water vapor), and solid (ice) states, including changing them from one state to another.

More skilled and powerful users could even cause water-related weather such as blizzards and rainstorms.

Though obvious limitations would include lacking resources to manipulate.

But there was still hope.

"Interesting." Sentry hummed with a hand in his bearded chin. His supervision allowed him to observe the floating body of water better than anyone else. "Tell me my child, how has your kryptonian powers been progressing?"

Elizabeth got stunned for a moment due to the unexpected question, but she quickly recovered and said. "Perfectly. I'm strong, fast' and my flight' is impeccabl'."

"And your heat vision?" Sentry finally asked.

Noticing her involuntary squirm, he understood the situation and slowly approached her.

"I haven't' had the tim' to properly refin' the techniqu'. It''s still not' on par with my other abilities." She said confidently, but her body language didn't match it. "But' my aiss breath is second to non' amongst' my sisters." She pointed out.

"I see. So that would explain why this water is slowly freezing." He suddenly remarked.

"O-of course… it is?" She said a little confused, but as she checked the water hovering above her hand, she came to a realization.

"Cryokinesis." Sentry spoke first. "Perhaps it might signal that your forte lies more with cold vision. A rare development amongst our kind."

"Yes!" Elizabeth beamed happily.

With it, users could create, shape, move, control, interact and manipulate ice, water frozen into a solid state.

Ice appears naturally in forms of snow, slush, hail, icicles, ice spikes and candles, glaciers, pack ice, frost, and polar ice caps, thus allowing users to gain control over multiple varied structures and environments.

This might extend to manipulating the cold by reducing the kinetic energy of atoms using ice.

The most common use for this ability would be freezing water (in liquid or gaseous state) in the user's surroundings into solid ice, usually shaped as spikes to pierce enemies.

Another use would be to immediately turn enemies to ice, freezing them to death.

Users could also shape ice under their feet to move more quickly due to the decreased friction.

Sub-Zero style.

For defensive purposes, users could create and shape ice to protect themselves from incoming attacks, both in close and far range.

Freezing breath (or reverse heat vision) helps mitigate the lack of large bodies of water as normal sources of heat wouldn't be able to melt away their ice.

With luck, Elizabeth might even reach similar levels to Iceman at his most powerful.

Her ability of turning water into ice might suggest some specialization in regards to the absence of energy.

As he watched Elizabeth play with her meta powers while the scenery shifted to a more appropriate one, he wondered. 'Umbrakinesis would be a neat addition.'

It allowed users to create, shape and manipulate darkness and shadows.

By itself, darkness was commonly used to cloud everything into total darkness, but those who could access a dimension of dark energy could channel it to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance.

One can also control and manipulate the beings that existed there, creating and dispelling shields and areas of total darkness, creating constructs and weapons, teleporting oneself through massive distances via shadows, etc.

Other than its high skill cost, it might also be hampered by stronger sources of light.

Not to mention how troublesome corruption would be.

Several exercises later, the next contender took her place.

—————————————————————

Lou-Elzod had a medium height, set a little more broadly than most of her sisters, and had a very athletic body. Her face was framed by short golden hair, fluffy and unruly, and emerald eyes.

On the surface, she was fierce, independent, and pugnacious, but beneath her tough exterior, she possessed a strong sense of loyalty and duty.

Her offensive battle style showed that she was always quick to initiate or rise to a challenge and was similarly quick-witted and impulsive, especially in heated situations.

Lou's interactions with her sisters showed that she was somewhat impatient, headstrong, sarcastic, and assertive. With a habit of getting close-up to people when confronting them, sometimes grabbing them by the chin when trying to get her point across.

Her physical strength stood out amongst her sisters, as did her invulnerability.

She was a natural juggernaut.

Though that did come with slightly lesser performance with her flight.

Wanting to test out a theory of his, he had the environment shift into a wasteland, with anything but sand and rocks spread around them.

"I'm ready!" Lou all but shouted with her German accent and a grin on her face as she appeared to be eager to begin. Almost to the point of challenging him for a sparring match.

But she knew her limits and her place.

Sentry nodded casually before asking. "Do you feel anything different about this place?"

Despite Lou not being the more astute amongst her sisters, she was still nothing to scoff at.

She kneeled to the ground and touched it with both of her hands.

"I can feel zomezing." She admitted closing her eyes.

Sentry saw her electromagnetic aura expanding and resonating with the element beneath them.

'I believe I've identified a trend here.' He concluded. 'Though I must say, it's really curious that they came one after the other.'

Fire and water.

Now earth.

The next one shouldn't be hard to predict if she followed the same theme they were going with.

"Geokinesis." He concluded as the earth began vibrating to an almost imperceptible level.

"AVEZOME!" Lou shouted as she provoked a casual earthquake with a punch to the ground. Fragments of sand slowly crawled up her skin as it composed a thin layer similar to a second skin.

With Geokinesis, users could create, shape and manipulate earth and "earthen" elements including most solid objects, specifically all minerals and mineral compositions regardless of their state (mountain, boulder, sand or dust), dirt, soil, etc.

More advanced users could even manipulate metals such as iron, copper and titanium. Similar to earthbenders branching out to metalbending or the contrary to how Magneto learned how to manipulate Earth's magnetic poles.

Offensive uses of this power might include extracting huge boulders from the ground and hurling it at the enemy at high speeds, impaling the enemy with countless spikes from the earth and in some cases creating giant golems or other creatures from earth and utilizing them for combat.

Defensive powers might also include shaping huge walls or barriers from the ground, creating an omni-directional wave of rocks/stone around the user to defend from all attacks and covering oneself with armor made from earth.

Supplementary uses of this power should include flight by standing on a piece of levitating earth and enhanced movement by skating on the earth and gaining enhanced senses from sensing the earth.

'Perhaps she could also see through lead, simulating what the kryptonian magical school of earth could accomplish.' Sentry thought, recalling his theories for Valentina. "Try to interact with metal." He said as ore deposits began forming out of nowhere in the wasteland.

Lou smirked and obeyed.

As previously mentioned, Metallokinesis was also a reasonable possibility.

With it, the user could create, shape and manipulate metal, a solid material (an element, compound, or alloy) that was typically hard, shiny, and featured good electrical and thermal conductivity.

Refined metals were generally more malleable, as they could be hammered or pressed permanently out of shape without breaking or cracking, as well as fusible (able to be fused or melted again) and ductile (able to be drawn out into a thin wire).

The obvious limitation for both earth and metal was availability of resources to manipulate.

If overly dependent on its earth manipulation root, some metals might also be immune to its influence.

If not, perhaps it might also comprise magnokinesis.

Users of it could generate, control and manipulate magnetism in all its forms, both natural (planetary, solar, lunar, stellar, magnetosphere, magnetic materials/ferromagnetism, etc.), organic (generated by the electric currents of living beings) or artificial (everything creating/using electricity).

Users could also affect any matter that is magnetic (iron, nickel, cobalt and their alloys, some rare earth metals, naturally-occurring minerals such as lodestone) manipulating and controlling them as they will and indirectly using them to manipulate other things.

Heat was a significant barrier that could hinder (and even negate) the magnetic influence over materials since the materials would lose their magnetic properties.

If Rory and Elizabeth could respectively reach Jean Grey Phoenix and Iceman's level of power, Lou might be capable of becoming the next Magneto.

That was all without considering that they were all outstanding Kryptonians.

Masumah-Elzod had Arabian roots, tan skin and long, lustrous black hair with big brown eyes and a distinct hourglass figure.

She had grown up into an optimist who opted to only see the good in people (and in life in general).

Masumah craved for happiness at all times, embodying sincerity by always being truthful.

Almost to an excessive degree.

Amongst her sisters, she was the one that wanted to inspire people to do good and was pure in every way. Inadvertently she might also be the closest thing there was to the original Big Blue Boy Scout.

Her greatest strength (and possibly greatest weakness) came from her empathy. Being naturally interested in other people's well-being, striving to help whenever she could.

Masumah was easily impressed, and tended to ignore the bad happening around her if she felt it was well meaning.

A natural dreamer and incurable optimistic. She had a keen sense of wonder, believing in possibilities and happy endings.

Generally naive when it came to general knowledge, with many layers that could be seen as childlike or as adorable.

Though some of her sisters perceived her as boring, too mundane and even vexing sometimes.

"Greetings master!" She said respectfully with a bow.

"Masumah my dear, how are you?" Sentry smiled, opening his arms wide open.

She suddenly rushed at him and gave him a big hug followed by some sweet chuckles.

"I'm doing fine. Thanks for asking." She said, almost childlike. "You know master, I'm the fastest amongst my sisters! Especially when flying!"

"You don't say." He smiled. "But I've been hearing that you've grown into an airhead."

"That's so mean, master!" She pouted. "I just like to enjoy the simple things."

"Indeed." Sentry agreed. "I hope that includes helping me uncover what your new power is."

"I- eh…" Masumah sighed comically before continuing. "Of course."

Releasing her from their hug, he confirmed her preference for standing still midair. It seemed weightlessness suited her 'mantra' or whatever she was sticking with.

"So… would I be wrong to assume that you feel a connection with the air?" He asked, already knowing her answer before she did it herself.

"Wow! You really are amazing!" She said after a small gasp. "As a matter of fact, I do feel somehow connected to it. I can hold my breath for longer periods than my sisters, and my hearing is excellent as well. Though I fail to find any influence I have over the air through my supervision."

"Similar to most kinetic manipulation abilities, Aerokinesis isn't exactly a straightforward science." He admitted as the environment shifted to reflect one with a strong current of air. "In your case, it may vary from you affecting the pressure of the environment to you having some sort of affinity for matter in its gaseous state. Perhaps you might even have some unnatural link to some specific element of its composition."

"I see." She remarked with a nod as she attempted some moves she recalled watching from a cartoon.

As the wind showed some signs of not following its natural and logical course, he gave her a satisfied smile.

Users of Aerokinesis could in theory create, shape and manipulate air, the common name given to the layer of atmospheric gases and various compounds (mostly oxygen and nitrogen) surrounding the planet Earth that were retained by Earth's gravity, and possibly wind, movement of air relative to the surface of the planet.

Which was an important factor in determining and controlling climate and weather, and the generating force of most ocean and freshwater waves.

Wind occurred because of horizontal and vertical differences in atmospheric pressure, and that included breezes, squalls, gusts, whirlwinds, zephyrs, gales, tempests, and hurricanes.

Since air could not be seen by most beings through conventional methods, nor could the attacks and derivatives formed by it, it was an invisible and versatile weapon that was very difficult to block and dodge.

However, its limitation might be the biggest thus far.

Being a kryptonian, traveling through space wouldn't be a problem for Masumah, but that would negatively affect her own abilities.

As the vacuum of space was an accessible environment for her and air was usually only available in the atmosphere of some planets.

Sentry aided Masumah on getting a better hold of her abilities, by having her getting used to harsh weathers and the vacuum of space, before sending her away and calling the next contender.

*Hope the chapter is of your liking. If there's anything that you wish to ask, feel free to do so.

Please feel free to share your thoughts on the OCs I'm introducing.

I had picked the powers I felt were more relevant to represent. Though I still haven't decided how powerful they will grow into.

Sorry if the 'accents' didn't work as well as I'd intended. 😅 I was aiming to make it more interesting than simply saying "she said with a specific accent".

If there's any problems with my writing, just point them out and I will correct them as soon as possible.

Thanks as always for your attention and please be safe.

** Really sorry for the constant delays, I'm still having a hard time organizing my time to write my fics. 😅

*** Please, tell me your opinion about this fic's current cover picture. I was aiming for something better than the previous one.
