My goal

That afternoon, Clark spoke to us, explaining that the spaceship that brought him to earth was not the only thing here on earth from his planet and that he needed to travel with the spaceship to learn more about himself and his people.

At first, mom and dad were in shock, but when he said travel, they could not accept it. No parent will let his son travel to someone who knows where and alone, but it's Clark who we're talking about, so that worry, although valid, is meaningless.

It took time to convince them to agree to let him travel. Clark knew that this was important, and I, the one who knows more, knew that this was the beginning of everything. Once he exits the Fortress of Solitude, he will be Superman, and along with it, many world-ending disasters.

We say our goodbyes with the promise to see you again. I ask Clark what he is going to do with Lana; after all, today was a special day. He told me that if he goes there to say goodbye to her, he will not have the guts to travel anymore, so I told him that I would take care of it, and in exchange for whatever lie I told her, he would explain it when he came back, and he agreed.

We gathered in the shelter, and we saw Clark speak to the ship, and then it opened. He stepped inside, and in a flash of light, the ship and Clark were gone. Mom and dad stayed silent, and I could hear mom sobbing. But this was part of growing up, although not in a conventional way. Soon I will depart from this farm, but that's in the near future.

As soon as Clark departed, I went to the Lang farm across ours to speak to Lana; they definitely didn't expect me.

"Hello, Mam, can I speak with Lana? It's about Clark."

"Sure, Isaac, let me call her."

I waited outside the front door for a couple of minutes, then I heard steps. Okay, it's showtime.

"Hi there, Isaac, We haven't spoken in a while. Mom told me that you need to talk something about Clark. What happened?""

"Well, this is not going to be easy, so please understand. Clark just found out who his real parents are, so he went to get some answers."

"So he left."

"Yes, I'm so sorry, Lana. He told me that he couldn't say goodbye to you because if he sees you, he will not have the strength to go."

"But he...and...i"

At that moment, she began to cry; probably she understood, but it's also really sudden. I left a couple of minutes later, and she only said to me, "Thanks for telling me." For a moment, I feel bad for her, but I knew from the beginning that this was not meant to be.

It's been a month since Clark left. Mom and dad were at first a little sad, but I assure them that he will be fine and that he will come back sooner than they expected. Also,  Lana left Smallville to go to college. Poor girl, I hope she will live a happy life.

The two other friends of Clark, Chloe and Pete, came by too, and I told them the same as I told Lana. They left too, and I think they will soon leave Smallville behind.

Name: Isaac Kent (LVL.20)

I finally reached level 20. Now I can choose a new job and put more points into my attributes. Let me see what the options are.

[Generating Jobs Available...complete]

[Blacksmith] [Farmer] [Cook] [Enchanter]

[Scribe]

A scribe is an unusual job, but at the same time, it could help me in the real world. I chose [Scribe] as my second job.

[Generating job skills... complete]

[Photographic memory] [Polyglot] [Author]

I knew that memory, language, and writing abilities would help me in any world, be it this one or the dungeons. Now let me distribute my points.

I will put 1 into [the body], 10 into [the mind], and 5 into [the soul].

As soon as I confirmed that with the system, something changed inside my brain. I feel... no, I think more clearly, more quickly. What happened?

[Reaching the milestone of mind (50) has granted you a permanent skill.]

[Brian Boost: A 50% increase in mental capacity for the user]

Wait, does that mean that each attribute has milestones, and in order to acquire these abilities, I need to spend a specific amount of points, which, from what I can see, are pretty good? Hmm, is there any maximum capacity?

[The maximum capacity for every attribute is 200.]

I see. Then, is there a maximum capacity for levels?

[The maximum capacity for player level is 100].

...so I only have 400 points in total, meaning I could only max out 2 of the 5 attributes, but I already distribute my points, so realistically only 1 of the 5 can be maxed out, and I already chose which one it is.

Well, it doesn't matter; this will do fine. I choose the life of a wizard, which isn't. Now it's time to challenge the dungeon again.

[Bandit Camp (LV.20)]

[Orc camp (LVL.30)]

[Earth Dragon Lair (LVL.35)]

So now it's bandits, meaning humans. Sh*t. I need to kill or neutralize them. I couldn't make the decision to do it, so I will postpone it for now.

It's been a week, and I still don't have the guts to go to the dungeon, and I remember the goblin settlement. I'm a hypocrite, isn't it?They were alive too; they had families too, but just because I leveled them as monsters, I could move on.

I know killing for the sake of killing is bad; doing it for fun is bad; doing it for pleasure is worse; but doing it for justice is accepted. Many countries have that rule, and even in war, it's normal to kill the enemy, but they have the backing of powerful people who will justify their actions as heroic.

I'm questioning my morals and my resolve. What'm I supposed to be? A vigilante, a hero, a villain, an antihero—none of that—I'm me, a human, a person with crooked morals like any other.

Soon, my brother will become Superman, a good guy, a symbol of justice and integrity, but that alone will fail in the end.

Batman will become Superman Shadow, a human who will go toe to toe with titans, and in some cases he will win, but like any human, his mind is biased to what he believes; the justice that he seeks is naive, childish, and unrealistic.

So my goal will be to achieve a more realistic form of justice, of order, and for that to happen, I need allies, and what better ones than the ones who never in comics were working together only when a world ending or dimension ending treat it's up, they will act. I'm talking about the homo-magics.
