A worried voice woke up the unconscious Isaac.

"Uh?"

Isaac looked around him, he was still on the sofa but now it had a blanket on him.

[You woke up, master.]

Ivory spoke to him; his tone relaxed, but immediately another voice spoke to him in panic.

[Master, are you okay?]

Isaac recognizes this voice.

(I'm fine, Nayru; I just activated a trait.)

~[sigh, I see. Is it just that after a week without news of you, I started to get worried?]

Isaac immediately reacted.

(Wait, Nayru, did you just say a week?) A tone of confusion was clearly seen in his voice.

~[hmm?, yes, master, it's been a week since I lost contact with you..]~

Isaac, instead of responding to Nayru, spoke directly to Ivory.

"Ivory, how long have I been unconscious?"

Without waiting a second, Ivory responded.

[It's been a week, master. I have been monitoring your state every hour to prevent any problems with your evolution.]

The confirmation silenced Isaac for a couple of minutes; this time it took too long, so a question rose in his mind: What kind of changes to his mind has this new [Trait] awakening brought?

This news brought joy to the fairy.

After eating a lot to compensate for his week of fasting and taking a hot shower to cleanse his body, Isaac finally had the time to check the system.

After checking that the trait was registered in his status window, Isaac stood up from his seat.

"Ivory, is the holographic training room complete?"

[Yes, master Isaac]

"Good, let me check this new [train] on it." 

He walked into the new door that appeared before him.

In a large white room, Isaac was giving instructions to Ivory.

"I want you to simulate a stand off between me and some special soldiers; they need to be carrying some high-tech weaponry and be extremely hostile to me to the point of shooting me on the spot. You got it?"

After a couple of seconds, Ivory responded to his demands by transforming the white room into a warehouse, where many soldiers were pointing their laser guns at him.

"Show me your hands now!" (Soldier)

One of the soldiers started screaming at him without leaving room to answer; the tension in the air was palpable. One wrong move, and the soldiers will start shooting.

(Wow, this is really good. Ivory set the pain receptors to the lowest possible for now.)

[Understood Master]

Isaac just looked at the soldiers with amazement and curiosity, while the soldiers were moving slowly to his sides.

(Well, let's do this...)

*Tap*

Isaac took a step forward.

"Fire!!"(Soldier)

The soldier didn't even flinch when making the order to kill.

Many lasers were fired, and at that moment, Isaac internally activated his Trait skill.

As soon as he said that, his brain started to consume large amounts of energy, his thoughts began to accelerate at an unprecedented rate, and his vision, hearing, and sense of motion began to increase rapidly to the point that things were starting to move in slow motion.

(As I thought this was the same ability as in those games, I think they called it [Bullet Time] or something like that.)

Soon Isaac discovered a problem...

... according to his past gaming knowledge, you could move in [bullet time] to eliminate rapidly and precisely your enemies, but his body didn't move an inch.

(Then it's only my mind that's moving fast but not my body. Hmm, this limits the uses of this trait, but it's not completely useless.)

Isaac didn't do anything; he just waited until the trait skill was done, and after what he felt was 30 seconds, things started to move more and more quickly until everything moved to normal speed.

The lasers rained through his body, but for Isaac, it was just lightly ticklish. After a while, the lasers stopped, and the simulation ended.
