46 Chapter 46: Sylvia's Departure

The 200-meter-tall lanternfish-like monster remained coiled up in the air, its large eyes filled with unease.

"Do you want to go over there?" H'el asked decisively, halting his attempt to crush the lanternfish-like monster.

He keenly sensed Sylvia's aversion to entering the monster's mouth, enveloped in the mucus-like protective fluid.

The mucus, created by the Precursors served as a protective barrier to shield life forms from the pressures of the ocean floor and the abyssal trenches.

The entire design of the lanternfish-like monster was crafted to use subsonic waves to trigger Sylvia's genes, ensuring her protection and the preservation of her bloodline as they returned to the pioneer's home planet.

Ever since H'el had crushed the "Sicklehead," panic had spread across the Precursor's home planet. Despite their efforts to expand their theories and research, they could not fathom what H'el was.

With a height of less than two meters, humans had harnessed a power far greater than the monsters the Precursors had meticulously engineered. Just how advanced was their genetic science to create such a species?

Although the Precursors had roamed across the universe, annihilating numerous planets, they had never encountered genetic technology as terrifying as the one capable of producing H'el.

They were in turmoil.

Different extraterrestrial beings now shared their interest in this planet, considering it their last refuge and the future home of the pioneers.

This extraterrestrial being was even more powerful than the Precursors themselves.

They had experienced fierce internal debates.

One faction believed that these extraterrestrial beings were too formidable, with genetic technology far surpassing their own capabilities. They saw no way to compete and argued that, while their planet's resources could sustain them for a while, they should quickly seek another planet to avoid an inevitable conflict with a superior force.

Another faction believed that if they could harvest H'el's genes, it would lead to a significant leap in Precursor genetic technology. With such advancements, they might no longer depend on planetary resources for survival and could potentially thrive even in the vastness of space.

Greed and fear, evolution and trepidation, drove them forward simultaneously.

In their panic, they began to cautiously explore and covet H'el's genes, with Sylvia becoming the focal point of their efforts.

But just as they were about to control Sylvia and leap into the lanternfish-like monster, they were filled with despair once again.

A force even more powerful than they had speculated directly halted the natural environment in its tracks. The seawater ceased to surge, becoming as smooth as a mirror. The air froze to the point of becoming translucent jelly.

Their self-manufactured lanternfish-like monster was effortlessly lifted from the sea.

The precursors, glimpsing this scene through the monster's large eye, couldn't help but feel a sense of hopelessness. What kind of creature was this? What incredible power was at play, and what kind of genetic technology could create such a powerful being?

The precursors, who possessed far more advanced genetic technology than Earth's biology, could better appreciate the fact that a creature like H'el should not exist. No matter how they speculated or delved into theories, this creature should not exist. If it did, it would represent a level of high-dimensional, overwhelming biological and genetic technology.

"I want to go over there to learn and record their genetic science," Sylvia said, overcoming the discomfort of her recent nausea and stepping away from the vomit to approach H'el.

H'el had previously mentioned to her that after leaving Earth, he would focus on teaching her Krypton's biological genetic technology. The strength of Krypton's biological genetic technology was such that it could directly control a person's innate abilities. Even the lowliest and most ordinary Kryptonian exposed to yellow sunlight, absorbing enough solar energy, possessed the ability to survive naked in the cosmos.

H'el was not a good reference, with his diverse superpowers akin to a destructive force of nature, but Sylvia didn't know that. Just considering how H'el could withstand a nuclear bomb in a matter of hours, she believed that even other, slightly less powerful Kryptonians would likely become bomb-resistant within a few years or a couple of decades.

That alone was terrifying.

What other creatures could so easily withstand a nuclear bomb?

Probably only Kryptonians.

After all, resisting nuclear bombs seemed to be a Kryptonian tradition, at least in Sylvia's understanding.

However, such powerful Kryptonian genetic technology didn't mean they should disregard the genetic technology of other species. Every species' genetic technology had shining points worth learning from and documenting.

The precursor species, for example, possessed highly advanced toxic chemistry and genetic technology for biological mutations. They used their genes in conjunction with toxic chemistry to create invasive creatures like the kaijus. The precursors' technology was far from weak because they were colonial organisms that used kaijus to destroy native populations and claim planets. The fact that they formed a civilization through such actions, occupying and harming numerous planets without being eradicated, demonstrated its merits.

Sylvia, as H'el's Chief Biological Geneticist, wasn't a worthless subordinate. On the contrary, her responsibility was to search for genes, expand the gene library, and create a vast record of genetic information for H'el. She had ambitions of her own!

"Alright, you have four and a half years. After that time, I will leave this Earth," H'el said, sensing Sylvia's strong ambition and nodding in satisfaction.

He appreciated subordinates with such strong self-motivation. When it came down to it, he only had two subordinates he truly acknowledged: Zero(the ai of his spaceship) and Sylvia.

H'el was incredibly selective in choosing his subordinates, even when building the vast new Kryptonian Empire of the future. He was not one to casually select important subordinates.

Tools could be many, but his trusted allies were few.

Subordinates were the ones who would accompany him in the battles of the future, relying on each other in the long years to come.

At this moment, Sylvia could truly be considered acknowledged by H'el.

H'el manipulated the bio-magnetic field and was about to toss Sylvia into the monster's large mouth when she stopped him.

"Wait a moment, I'll have someone bring protective gear," Sylvia said, glancing at the sharp jagged teeth inside the monster's mouth, filled with greenish cushioning protective fluid that disgusted her.

She was about to open her communication wristwatch to call for assistance with protective gear when H'el, expressionless, slapped the back of her head, knocking her unconscious. A mixture of 300 milliliters of blood and psychic power infiltrated her body through her pores.

"Why so dramatic?" he muttered, picking up Sylvia and tossing her into the monster's gaping mouth, onto the green cushioning protective fluid. She slowly sank, enveloped by the protective fluid.

As the precursors watched H'el lift Sylvia and place her in the lanternfish monster's eye, they were stunned. They never expected things would develop like this. They had been discovered, and they were all starting to despair, preparing for retaliation or escape.

But they never expected that H'el would voluntarily throw Sylvia and the vial of his original blood into the lanternfish monster's mouth.

Should we accept this or not? Is he fishing for something? Is he trying to locate our coordinates and come after us? Or does he simply look down on us, thinking we can't discover anything?

Alien, say something!

The precursors' thoughts were in chaos, and their emotions were complicated.

They had never seen such a confident being.

H'el, without expecting to trigger the precursors' fear, tossed the lanternfish kaiju into the sea, leaving a telepathic message to the monster with no communication barrier. After that, he soared into the sky and departed from the area.

"Civilization's survival hinges on her," he declared.
