Chapter 242: The Beginning

In the lobby of the STAR Labs.

Amidst the cheers and applause of the crowd, the elegant and easygoing Dr. Wells, with his half-black-framed glasses, confidently stepped onto the stage with a smile.

"Thank you. I am Harrison Wells."

"Tonight, the future is about to unfold. My team and I will change everyone's perception of physics here. We will bring progress in dynamics and medicine. Believe me, the future is coming faster than you think."

As Dr. Harrison Wells finished speaking, his gaze swept over the audience below, seeing Barry applauding enthusiastically for him, which made him smile intriguingly.

H'el stood in a corner, observing this scene that marked the beginning of the Flash.

This scene was not simple. There were at least several future villains present, all here listening to Harrison Wells's speech, being influenced by him to become future adversaries.

Even more so, there were future Flashes returning to this scene from the future.

But seeing that the Flash didn't come over to acknowledge his existence, H'el knew that he didn't exist in the Flash's original timeline. He only began to exist from this moment on.

"Oh, my notebook! My thesis is in it."

In the crowd, Iris screamed in alarm as her bag was snatched by a thief who was running away from the crowd.

Barry immediately stepped forward and chased after him.

Iris followed Barry in pursuit.

H'el glanced at Harrison Wells, who remained calm with a smile on his face, his gaze passing over Barry as he chased after the thief.

As long as the event was correct, Barry would become the Flash no matter what happened.

He wasn't worried about the 'accident' Barry encountered now.

H'el didn't stay in the lobby. He took a few steps back and then left the STAR Labs.

There was still plenty of time to interact with the Reverse Flash, no need to rush.

Instead, the immense record value lay in the powerful speed force information from when Barry was struck by lightning.

H'el concealed his figure, emerging from the entrance of the STAR Labs, watching Barry and Iris chase after the thief.

He slowly ascended and flew towards the direction of Central City Police Department.

Ultimately, Barry would be struck by lightning in the police department's lab. H'el just needed to wait for everything to happen, just like the Reverse Flash.

H'el arrived at the police department's lab and stood in the shadowy corner like a ghost, concealed in the darkness, eyes closed, waiting for everything to unfold.

Shortly after,

Barry, who had been lightly injured by the thief, failed to catch him but was intercepted halfway by the newly assigned detective, Eddie Thawne, who stole the limelight in front of Iris.

However, Iris couldn't stand the smugness of this newcomer. For Barry, who was slightly dejected for not being able to catch a mere thief, this was a small consolation.

At least for now, he didn't have any rivals.

After bidding farewell to Iris at the police station, Barry threw the tissue he used to wipe his nosebleed into the trash can and went straight back to the lab.

Outside, thunderstorms had already begun, heavy rain pounded on the skylight, and water dripped through the cracks onto the lab floor.

H'el opened his eyes in the corner, watching Barry enter the lab. He glanced at the skylight and the wet floor, then went straight to the computer, connected to the live news broadcast of Central City:

"I'm Linda Park, reporting live from outside the STAR Labs. Despite the current bad weather, and it's predicted to get worse, the pouring rain has not affected the particle accelerator at all. The machine is currently operating smoothly, as stated by the CEO of the STAR Labs, Harrison Wells..."

Seeing that the news reporter Linda Park was reporting on the condition of the Lab in the heavy rain without any surprises, Barry took off his coat, walked to the blackboard, pulled back the curtain covering it, revealing various news reports and evidence he had been collecting for ten years, all related to his quest to find information about his father killing his mother.

Almost every day, he would review them, recalling the chaotic scene from his childhood when he suddenly appeared outside the house on the street, and by the time he ran back home, the police had already told him that his father had killed his mother.

Barry couldn't believe that his loving parents would have such a violent outcome. For ten years, he had been searching for evidence to prove his father's innocence.

The whole thing was incredibly perplexing and impossible to explain.

Lightning struck frequently in the sky, and the weather worsened, casting everything in a bleak hue.

"Wait, we've been instructed to evacuate the facility. The storm may cause a major cooling system failure, and staff are trying to shut down the particle accelerator, but so far, they've been unable to regain control of the system..."

The screen emitted urgent tones from the live reporter, snapping Barry out of his reverie. He walked up to the screen, listening carefully, focusing on the particle accelerator at the Lab, but then with a *sizzle*.

The storm and lightning disrupted the broadcast; the live reporter on the screen hadn't finished speaking before the feed was cut off.

The severe weather seemed to be getting more terrifying, even affecting the particle accelerator.

The particle accelerator began to explode.

Barry looked up from the computer screen, gazing out the window to see a massive burst of light emanating from the Lab in the distant park. Arcs of electricity seemed to connect heaven and earth, illuminating the night with dazzling brilliance.

*Boom*

A wave of dark matter shockwave, accompanied by invisible electromagnetic waves, passed through all the humans and creatures in Central City.

The skylight was pelted by raindrops as if it were about to burst, with a constant stream of water dripping down.

Barry couldn't afford to focus on the particle accelerator anymore; he hurried to the skylight, looking up at the window being battered by rain, extending his hands to prepare to use iron chains to secure the window even more tightly.

Suddenly, Barry stopped pulling the chain. A sense of anti-gravity seemed to lift both of his hands.

He looked around, seeing bottles of colorful chemicals gradually rising against gravity.

Barry's pupils dilated as he stared in astonishment at the floating chemicals around him.

A tremendous thunderous sound echoed from the top skylight.

Barry turned his head to look at the skylight.

*Boom*

Countless lightning bolts struck directly at him, precisely blasting the skylight, heading straight for Barry's body.

Barry was directly struck by the lightning, thrown into a shelf of colorful chemical liquids, his entire body flashing with arcs of electricity, falling into unconsciousness.

H'el's eyes flickered with intense thoughts as he emerged from the shadows in the corner.
