209 Chapter 209: The Hope Of Gods

The moon.

A green shuttle passage opens.

Ganthet emerges from it, in a red robe with the prominent Green Lantern Corps emblem on the chest and abdomen, hovering in mid-air, gazing downwards.

Four million five hundred thousand soldiers lay unconscious on the surface of the moon, restrained and placed there by the Zero.

H'el instantly teleports in front of Ganthet.

Ganthet gazes at H'el, who can manipulate space, and they exchange a glance. Ganthet reaches into the voluminous sleeve of his red robe and produces a green ring, shooting out a green line towards H'el.

"It's only a basic single-function Green Lantern ring that stores emotional spectrum knowledge," Ganthet says.

H'el holds the Green Lantern ring that shoots towards him between two fingers and probes into it with his psychic power to inspect it.

In reality, even if the emotional spectrum is altered slightly, H'el wouldn't be able to tell because this is unprecedented technology with no precedents to follow.

But Ganthet and other cosmic guardians have never made any modifications, it's intact, correct, and based on the basic emotional spectrum.

This is not only because of the Green Lantern Corps' integrity and reputation in the universe, but also because H'el knows that Earth is the center of the universe, so there's no need to provoke comrades from the same camp and ruin their relationship.

How long does it take to develop the basic emotional spectrum to the point where the Green Lantern ring's will is used proficiently?

The cosmic guardians have been studying since the beginning of the universe, and only today have they developed such sophisticated emotional spectrum usage skills. It's not something that happens overnight.

H'el scans the basic emotional spectrum knowledge with his psychic power, gaining insight from the extensive usage of the fully intact Green Lantern ring, combining it with his understanding of the basic emotional spectrum knowledge, and finding the origins and commonalities.

At least, from what he can see, there are no mistakes. This is indeed a tremendously valuable foundation of emotional spectrum knowledge.

H'el withdraws his psychic power and puts away the single-function Green Lantern ring that stores knowledge.

"Very good."

With a wave of his hand, the bodies of Scar and Yak appear before him.

Ganthet quickly materializes Yak in front of him using the Green Lantern ring, looking at the corpse with flattened head, the deceased Yak's eyes carrying a heavy sorrow.

Scar stands beside Ganthet, her face filled with hatred, her eyes glaring at H'el with hostility. But when she sees H'el's smirk, she quickly looks away, feeling flustered.

H'el glanced playfully at Scar, then waved his hand again. Seventeen Green Lanterns appeared in the cosmos, already wearing their Green Lantern rings. As soon as they appeared, they quickly manipulated their rings, standing in the cosmos and flying to Ganthet's side, looking at H'el.

"All the prisoners of the Green Lantern Corps are here," H'el said.

When the word "prisoner" came from H'el's mouth, the Green Lanterns didn't look too good. Their eyes were dim and they remained silent.

"I have confirmed it without error. From this moment on, we are comrades in the same camp."

Ganthet suppressed his sorrow, his gaze sweeping over H'el. He manipulated his Green Lantern ring, materializing a large screen of light, covering all the soldiers lying on the moon. He pulled the four million five hundred thousand unconscious soldiers, constructed a green shuttle passage, and then led Scar and the Green Lanterns into the passage, leaving the solar system.

H'el watched their departing figures, the green shuttle passage dissipating on the moon.

Next, for a long time, New Krypton would not engage in conflict with the Green Lantern Corps. But covert warfare would continue, just like in the various countries on Earth, involving sending spies, infiltration, and covert operations to gather information.

Doomsday would always be the spark between the Green Lantern Corps and New Krypton.

Watching Ganthet leave with his people, H'el did not return to the Zero Sphere mothership. Instead, he stood in space.

Soon after, a silver thunderbolt appeared on Mount Olympus in Greece, crossing the Earth's atmosphere with a majestic thunderous momentum, reaching H'el and coalescing into the form of the god-king Zeus.

"Hmph! The authority of the god of magic and the authority of machinery and energy, all the authority you seek is within this," Zeus declared.

Zeus approached H'el with a stern expression, tossing out two energy spheres and saying, "Within the divine realm, a territory of 1558 light-years is available for you to choose at any time. Hand them over, H'el."

H'el didn't say much to Zeus. After receiving the two equally unfamiliar energy spheres, he glanced at Zeus, waved his hand, and then Athena, dignified and beautiful in her pristine white robes, along with the vastly different-looking Apollo and Artemis, appeared in space.

Zeus's gaze inevitably swept over the beautiful Athena. Thunder immediately flickered around him, forming a broad ancient chariot with two thunderous warhorses, hooves raised high and emitting lightning.

Athena, with the unconscious Apollo and Artemis, stepped onto Zeus's thunderous chariot, standing gracefully.

Zeus drove the chariot of thunder, turned in space, the thunderous hooves reflected in space, and headed towards Greece.

Athena turned her head to look back at H'el. Seeing H'el getting smaller and smaller, becoming a mere black dot, Athena stood on the thunderous chariot, tucked a strand of messy hair behind her ear, and said, "Zeus, I want to be by his side."

Zeus's stern brow furrowed in anger. He scolded, "Athena, since the beginning of the universe, how many lives have you helped, how many hopes have you placed on them, and what have you gained in return?"

"We are individuals too, with our own wisdom and ideas. We are all unwilling, aren't we?" Athena's eyes carried a sense of attachment to existence as she spoke softly.

Zeus looked at his daughter, her gaze calm yet resolute. His anger, mixed with fatigue, gradually dissipated. "We should indulge in the remaining years, do everything we can to enjoy ourselves before the universe falls into silence, and return to the starting point without regrets, giving up the idea of breaking free."

"We have no regrets. Everything I have done since the creation of the universe, isn't it what you all expect and desire? You also wish for me to truly find a way to break free."

"But you have only failed, failed, and failed endlessly!"

"So, success is precious."

Zeus's thunderous chariot gradually came to a halt. His face fell silent. "Go on, every gods hopes you will succeed."

As the thunderous chariot stopped, Athena, graceful in her white robe and smiling, stepped down from Zeus's thunderous chariot and flew back towards H'el.
