126 Chapter 126: Found You

Boston.

Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Changing room.

Diana, a tall figure with bronze skin and well-defined features, had mesmerizing long black eyelashes that fluttered above her clear, bright eyes. She bit on a rubber band with her thin lips, revealing the smooth skin of her slender neck. Her long fingers swept back her steel-like wavy black hair behind her ears and coiled it up with a rubber band.

After tying up her hair, she put on a clean dust coat, ready to begin the restoration and maintenance of the artifacts.

"Ring, ring..."

However, the sudden ringing interrupted her as she was putting on the white rubber gloves.

"Batman?" Diana pulled out the half-worn rubber glove and pressed the answer button with her long and powerful fingers, a look of confusion in her eyes.

"There's an extraterrestrial invasion on Earth. Come to the Hall of Justice," Batman spoke concisely, knowing that Diana, this warrior woman, would come on her own without much communication.

After speaking, Batman hung up the phone directly.

Diana immediately brightened up, exuding a heroic aura. She took off the dust coat, letting her black hair fall loosely on her shoulders, and put on her civilian clothes before heading out.

"Uh, Diana, where are you going? You still need to restore 'St. John the Baptist' later," a colleague saw Diana walking away and quickly asked.

"Taking the day off today!"

Diana walked quickly and resolutely, her hair flying in the air, leaving her colleagues behind, staring in astonishment at how confidently Diana left to take the day off.

Shortly after, Wonder Woman, adorned with the Lasso of Truth and the Sword of Ares at her waist, wearing the Bracelets of Submission on her wrists, and carrying the Shield of Athena on her back, donned her Starry Tiara and Champion's Helmet. With a magnificent battle outfit, she flew across the sky of Boston, heading towards the Hall of Justice.

...

Seaside City.

H'al Jordan was a handsome, rugged, and charismatic man. His extensive flight training had molded him into a fearless and courageous individual. After acquiring the Green Lantern Ring, his body took on a form that embodied romance, grace, and poetic movements, while possessing immense power. He appeared like an infectious gymnast, ballet dancer, and aerial acrobat, especially when he soared through the air, gliding as smoothly as a swallow diving.

He was also quite a show-off.

At this moment, Hal, the Green Lantern, was stopping a car accident. He enjoyed the cheers and applause of the crowd, getting lost in the loud voices. He grinned effortlessly in the air, creating a wave-shaped slide. Sliding along, he moved away from the crowd and flew towards the Hall of Justice.

...

"I've connected to all satellites on Earth and found no evidence of superluminal matter or spaceships collapsing. Although it burdens me greatly, there shouldn't be nothing found. Batman, even my remaining rationality doubts that this is an astronomical phenomenon that appeared by accident," said Cyborg, Victor Stone, with his red electronic eye shimmering with intelligence.

His entire body was almost entirely composed of gleaming machinery, a fusion of Mother Box and various technologies from the Star Labs, making him a unique cyborg.

The invasion of the Steppenwolf and the parademons a year ago had changed his dream of being a football player and forced him into the ranks of the Justice League.

"Before a storm comes, the calm is usually greater than the anomaly. That can only mean this is an unusually massive 'storm'," Batman responded solemnly through the communicator.

Cyborg possessed some of the abilities of the Mother Box, combined with the strange technologies within the Star Labs, making his technology the most powerful and cutting-edge on Earth.

But even Cyborg couldn't find any signs.

"Do you need me to activate some of the Mother Box's abilities to search for that 'spaceship'?" Victor remained silent for a moment before speaking up.

The Mother Box merging into his body has already brought him a great burden. Every day, he is constantly harassed by the barrage of junk information from the internet, keeping his mind in a chaotic state of expanding and yet clear-headed, constantly causing him the pain of wanting to tear apart his own consciousness.

If unnecessary, Victor doesn't want to use the various technological abilities within his body. It would only cause him more pain. But for the sake of protecting the Earth, he can endure using them.

He just doesn't know how much longer he can endure!

Victor thought silently.

"No, this might give Steppenwolf the opportunity to lock onto the Earth. If unnecessary, do not activate the Mother Box's abilities," Batman said.

"I understand."

Victor responded and walked straight to the window in the dark room. Flames erupted from his hands and feet, propelling him into the air. He flew out of the window and headed towards the Hall of Justice.

Central City.

A harsh screech of brakes accompanied by a mother's scream echoed through the air.

A long yellow-red streak, resembling twisted lightning, emerged from a distant alley, leaving behind a trail of remnants as it rushed here. With a casual gesture, it brought the young boy who had dashed onto the road back to his mother's side.

The Flash, Barry Allen, looked at the mother tightly embracing her son with a gaze tinged with sadness and nostalgia. The mother was scared and began to cry.

"Thank you, Flash. Without you, I would have lost my son." The mother wiped away the tears in the corner of her eyes, and with immense gratitude, she said, "It's wonderful to have you here in Central City."

"Your son has you, and that's the best thing." The Flash responded with a smile. He looked at the frightened young boy and patted his head, his eyes filled with sorrow.

Yellow lightning began to spread from beneath the Flash's feet, continuously striking the surrounding dust. The yellow arcs crawled over his red-yellow suit, and his eyes flashed with yellow lightning. He caused a gust of wind in place, blowing the mother's hair as he suddenly disappeared from the scene.

The mother turned her head and saw the yellow lightning mixed with a red figure on the road, like arcs of electricity flickering into the distance away from Central City, heading towards the Hall of Justice.

Washington, D.C.

In the distant metropolis skyline, amidst the blue sky and white clouds, Superman's red and blue figure broke the sound barrier, leaving behind a sonic boom trail as he arrived first at the Hall of Justice.

Clark Kent, Superman, floated above the Hall of Justice, his blue tight-fitting suit and red boots outlining his muscular physique. The bright red cape fluttered behind him.

"Batman, I'm here. I'm waiting for you all."

His face was firm and dignified, his features sharp. His black hair was tousled by the wind, giving it a slightly disheveled look. His deep blue eyes resembled calm lakes, scanning the surroundings in the sky.

Suddenly.

'Bang.'

A black figure descended from the sky, causing him to plummet from the center of the Hall of Justice.

The entire Hall of Justice shattered under the tremendous force. Cement and rubble flew around, steel beams and iron rods bent and broke. The ground endured an immense impact, and a destructive force formed shockwaves that spread through the ground, lifting and propelling the surrounding buildings away. The Hall of Justice was torn apart, forming ruins, and the ground cracked open a crater with a radius of over a kilometer. Washington, D.C., experienced a massive tremor.

Superman felt an unprecedented and unbearable discomfort. Intense pain surged through him, and his internal organs felt as if they were about to burst, with blood ready to spurt out. But a black boot pressed down on his carotid artery with tremendous force, making it difficult for him to breathe. His vision became blurry, and he felt dizzy and disoriented.

In the haze of dust.

With a heavy head, he looked at the one who had stepped on him. Under the bright sun in the blue sky, there was a tall black figure. Sunlight glinted on his face, outlining a cold and ruthless visage within the shadows. A prominent black 'S' logo adorned his elevated chest, and the diamond border seemed to shimmer with dark gold.

"Finally, I've found you, my dear 'brother'."
