Reckoning

-Narrator pov -

Lucas, Superman, and Wonder woman began their assault, they could see more and more White Martians exiting the portal.

*swoosh!* an arrow flew *shickk* *boom!* it pierced the head of a Martian that was about to attack Wonder Woman from behind

Yellow mist started to cover the ground, and Martians began to run screaming in what seemed to be pain.

Drones flew in the air laying down heavy fire while Batman utilized his gadgets to cut off groups of Martians.

Streaks of yellow and red light could be seen timed perfectly with Martians that had the jump on the front fighters.

-Lucas's pov -

My fangs tore into the martian in front of me, its blood tasted like filthy water. Dropping the Martian onto the ground I looked around me, everyone was fighting their hardest.

As I fought I kept finding better and newer ways to use my new powers, my single bat became multiple, and I could lower my body temperature to actually create ice like in Jojos.

I felt a fist soar from behind me, leaning to the right the fist missed my head, it opened into a claw and swiped backward trying to claw at my face.

I turned into mist and floated behind the Martian, turning back I launched forward only to phase through it.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance as more Martians approached my location, launching myself from where I stood, I attacked the closest one to me.

*shickkkk* my hand plunged into its stomach

Making my way upward I grabbed its heart and pulled, *pah* I held its heart and threw it at another.

Suddenly, a dome of light surrounded me and ten Martians, I looked around the battlefield and saw Superman was in a similar dome.

Looking toward the portal I saw members of the order and a giant White Martian.

The leader has arrived.

-Oliver's pov -

I shot another arrow from my quiver, it sailed through the air and impaled another Alien. I couldn't stop to think about how outnumbered we are.

I couldn't stop to think when I saw Wonder Woman in trouble, I just had to act. Pulling another arrow I launched it through the air, it sailed in a nice arch ready to take down yet another Martian. The Martian phased through the arrow and I cursed, wishing my arrow could just turn around and strike again.

Suddenly I saw my arrow do just that, I could almost see the confusion of the now-dead Martian.

Was that me?

I repeated what I just did with another target, again it worked but this time I felt like I was using some type of energy.

I couldn't focus on this new revelation I just needed to act, I increased the speed of my attacks.

*WHOOOM* suddenly I saw two golden domes appear around Superman and Lucas, and my blood froze.

Two of the most important fighters just got imprisoned. That moment of shock was my downfall.

*bang!* I felt the air leave my lungs as I was flung to the side, I should have died with that blow but I couldn't think of that right now.

Twisting my body I saw two Martians running at me, I quickly knocked an arrow and began to fight back.

- Batman pov -

I looked around the battlefield and couldn't help but grimace slightly at the scene in front of me, Superman and Azreal just got locked into a prison.

Wonder Woman was overwhelmed by the Aliens, I could see her injuries and she didn't look too good.

The Flash, was trying to get close but the Aliens would block his path.

And it seems like the leader and some priests just came out which gave the Aliens a second wind.

Suddenly golden chains sprouted from the ground and locked in place a massive group of Aliens, and then another person rushed in to help Azreal's ally.

We just picked up our second wind.

-Dembe pov -

Andrew, the man Lucas told me about just arrived, and the 'good' members of the order followed him.

We began to fight back with even more speed.

"Can they free them!?" I asked as I made several Martians fear their allies

"They said they can't, something about how only the caster's death can break the some," Andrew replied as he ripped apart another Martian

I saw ripples appearing on both Domes, I knew if anyone could find a way to break through them Lucas and Superman could.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the 'good' members of the order engage the bad members.

Just as I was about to call out to split the Martians a felt danger approaching my back, I tried to move but I didn't have enough time.

*BANG!* the sound of flesh connecting with flesh was heard behind me but, neither Andrew nor I was harmed

Spinning around I saw the Flash crumbled on the ground with the biggest White martian standing in front of him.

I instantly focused all of my powers on him, playing on his race's inherent fear of fire. But, the leader didn't move.

"I am not swayed by fear," the deep voice of the Martian broke me from my thoughts

I looked at Andrew and nodded, with both rushed forward, Andrew on the left and I attacking from the right.

The leader spit flames from his mouth toward Andrew, and my fist sailed through the air. Suddenly my fist stopped as it stayed suspended in the air.

The leader looked at me with what I could only describe as amusement. No other martian I faced had telekinesis this strong.

Before I could even try to escape I felt my bones shatter and I was thrown across the battlefield.

*BANG!* falling on the ground I saw Andrew laying next to me his skin was burnt and I could barely hear his soft breathing.

My legs were shattered, I took blood vials and began to drink them with haste. I saw the leader tear along with a group of Martians tear through our attack force.

Wonder Woman was thrown backward her legs crushed and her own sword ran through her stomach.

Batman retreated using his drones as cover pulling the flash along with him.

Now we were all in a circle, surrounded by the Martians, and the leader stood at the front.

I could see the combat between the order mages, it seemed to be going nowhere meaning Lucas couldn't come and help.

*SHHHHHCRACKKK!* suddenly everyone heard the sound of glass breaking and turned to see a bloodied Lucas walking out of the golden dome.

His suit was burnt as well as his skin but I saw that healing rapidly. That distracted the two bad-order mages as they were quickly impaled by golden swords freeing superman in the process.

Superman flew beside us while fending off a hoard of white Martians. Lucas retreated to be beside us as well, soon followed by the good order mages.

We all were now in a tight circle.

"Do you now see the futility of trying to defend your planet? It is as good as ours now," the leader said

Lucas fed the flash a vial of something, not men or his brother which was weird. The flash instantly looked better so it was most likely a health potion.

Then Lucas said gravely, "Wonder Woman, Superman, please allow me to drink your blood,"

That stunned me and the others, as the Martians closed in he asked for blood? He is already healed and the blood won't give him a lot of strength or I might be able to missing something.

Suddenly two domes of light appeared around our group as the matians tried to break through.

"If it will help," Superman said

"I agree," Wonder Woman replied to Lucas and I could tell she was in pain

Lucas walked over to them both and began to drink their blood one after the other.

"Does their blood do something I am unaware of?" Andrews's raspy voice asked

"We need to think of a way out of this! Not focus on Azreals drinking habits," Oliver said urgently as he looked at the mass of Martians

Oddly the flash was silent.

"This is helping," Lucas replied as he finished drinking from Wonder Woman

"Superman, take Arrow and Nightmare with you and fly as far as you can away from here. Flash, take Batman and Andrew. Wonder Woman carry the order members," Lucas demanded

I disregarded the name he called me and said, "what are you saying? You can't deal with the alone,"

"We can still fight," Oliver added

"No, I can finish this but I need you all away from here," he replied dismissively

Superman and Wonder Woman were already picking us up and preparing to run. The flash moved to his targets.

Lucas began to drink every vial of blood I have ever seen him own.

And then he took out a book and my heart plummeted to my gut, "YOU Can't -"

"NOW!" Lucas shouted and the shields dropped

I was whisked away before I could protest further.

-Narrator pov -

Lucas jumped backward and fought off every White Martian he could before backing up enough to put them all in front of him. Blood dripped from his clothes as he looked at the army.

"Follow your friends, you already lost," the leader said

Lucas didn't reply he just opened the book in his hand.

Slowly he began to read, mentally he recalled every item he ever made through Libriomancy, filling his magical power to the brim.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." as he spoke thunder and lighting began to sound throughout the air, and the sky turned golden as if heavens door was opened

The Bible fell from Lucas's grip as he finished speaking.

All around Central City, Metropolis, and even Starling City and Gotham people saw a scene they would never forget, golden lightning descending from the pure white and golden clouds in the sky.

*BOOOM!*

No martian was spared.

As God's wrath was unleashed onto the earth.
