70 Election Day

It was a big day for starling city, elections were being held and the two top contestants were from the same family.

A child could tell family conflict was high for the Queens, Lucas decided to not host a grand party but just enjoy the polls from the comfort of his home.

He was also told his mother would be doing the same.

Oh, how Lucas wished to believe her but he could practically hear the lie from the other side of the phone. His siblings chose to stay out of it as both of them are currently enjoying some sibling bonding time.

"You know she is going to pull something," Dembe said from Lucas's side

Lucas rolled his eyes, "a blind person could tell my friend, what will the difference even make it is just party before the results it's not like she can change anything"

"Yes, but it might look like she's taking this more seriously than you," Dembe replied with a small frown

A frown soon adorned Lucas's own face, "well we can't have that,"

Lucas didn't want to host a party at his house that was like inviting people to snoop around his lair. His books also are a no-touch zone, and soon a plan is formulated in his mind.

"Dembe my friend today we party with the people," dembe smiled lightly at that

Dembe knew that even though Lucas likes to portray himself as uncaring toward humans he truly likes to spend time with the community.

It's a grounding moment though Dembe feels it holds something more than that for Lucas.

-Lucas's pov -

As we began to set up the plans for my 'part' I thought about a sly comment Dembe made, he said with all of the stuff I do around the community one would think I like humans. I indeed appreciate them more and more. I think the dehumanizing I did on the island to console my mind toward the act of feeding on humans is slowly coming undone.

Now that's not to say I will ever stop feeding on them, I just look at them as people now and not meat bags walking around waiting for me to sink my fangs into.

Part of me thinks I enjoy hanging around the lower rung of society because I used to be one of them in my past life. I wasn't poor by any means but I didn't have a lot I was just an average Joe.

It's weird the emotions one feels when being in a situation like mine, it would be impossible to explain to anyone else.

Pulling me from my thoughts was the sight of a large group of people blocking the road, apparently posting I was going to be celebrating in town was a big deal.

We stopped the car and I got out instantly cheers erupted in the crowd I smiled lightly while waving to everyone.

"Thank you all for coming tonight, we will be celebrating the elections!" I announced and the crowd burst into more cheers

As I spent time around the crowd of people we drank and laughed, I made sure to show I barely was drinking as drinking heavily would offset my reputation.

As I laughed and talked with the people I was using my soul/ magic reading ability to experience short glimpses of their lives.

Training never stops.

I felt a small tug on my suit and looked down, I smiled softly at who greeted me, "well isn't it little Emily," I said softly while patting her head

"Mr.Queen! I hope you win," she said with cheer

I chuckled, "of course, I will, and please call me Lucas little one,"

"Okayyy Lucas," she said with a small giggle

Suddenly my senses spiked and I felt danger, not toward me but it was someone else. I spread my senses using echolocation and searched for what was happening.

I saw my family tied up with Slade standing around them. I didn't know how it was possible I sensed their danger but I need to move.

I forgot about this event, even if he killed Moira in the show he could still kill my sister, I will not allow that.

"I'm sorry I need to go little one," I patted her on the head and began to move

As I left I said bye to everyone that saw me departing, out of instinct I decided to look into Emily's soul instantly my mind felt a great pressure, and my head felt like it was about to burst.

"Argh!" I groaned in pain

"Looks like you feel bad you should get going Mr. Queen," someone said in the background as Dembe led me out

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!

anger fueled my veins, my soul.

I don't know what Emily is but she sure as hell isn't human.

My head throbbed while I sat in the backseat of my car, taking out some blood I consumed it at speeds that were truly animal-like. One would think I was starved for weeks.

Once my head felt better I decided to quickly leave and go toward my family, "Dembe I will be back," I called out as I flew at top speeds

I felt bad leaving him confused about where I'm going but I need to get them quickly. As I flew I put the thoughts of Emily out of my mind, I couldn't even think of what was happening at that moment.

Part of it scared me.

As I flew down I saw Moira was already killed, a sigh escaped my lips. I already had my suit on so I walked out.

-Oliver's pov -

My mother was killed and I couldn't do anything about it, my hands and feet were tightly bound by some type of strong cord, and Slade got it to adjust toward my new abilities.

Thea was petrified, she couldn't even concentrate enough to use her powers, which will need to change. Tears streamed from my eyes while Slade moved around us like a predator, suddenly footsteps could be heard and my brother appeared in his suit.

I saw him pause briefly at the sight of our mom's corpse.

"Slade," his voice was calm

"Azreal," Slade replied gruffly

Thea looked lost, so so lost.

"I hope you're not planning the hurt the rest of them," Azreal no Lucas said in a calm steely voice

"Why not HE TOOK HER FROM ME!" Slade shouted while pointing at me

"You're seeing her aren't you," Lucas said while moving toward us

"Shut up!" Slade yelled

"She's not real Slade you need to realize that, your anger and hurt are clouding your mind," Lucas declared with a what seems like compassion

Compassion for him!?

"Shut your mouth L,"

Suddenly Lucas blurred.

-end-

Sorry for ending on a cliffhanger deciding if I want Slade to reveal Lucad to Thea or not. Y'all can provide your choice if you want
