6 Big Belly Burger

"Hello and welcome to the Big Belly Burger, what would you like to eat today?"

A good-looking blond woman with a red apron and yellow T-shirt asked.

"Well, I would have liked pizza, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to try out the BBB, so I'm here. I would like a Bodacious Belly Man, please. And put some onion ring on top of that with extra bacon, an extra patty, and extra barbecue sauce… Oh, and also, I would like white cheddar instead of yellow please."

"Sure can do! Now, would you like the meal with that or just the sandwich?"

"Meal, please."

"You want curly fries or regular?"

"Regular."

"Thank you. Give us about 5 minutes and your order will be ready. You're gonna be order number 1956."

"Thanks." I nodded making my way to a free table. Although for some reason, I wasn't hungry, I still had the craving to eat. I knew that Barry had to consume a disgusting amount of calories in order to function correctly, but I just wanted the taste of food in my mouth after not eating for over a year.

While waiting, I looked out the window, daydreaming about what my next plan for this universe was. I had a few goals in mind. First, I wanted to gain some sort of mastery of my powers. I would have been a fool if I didn't. To waste the potential that I now had would have been an unforgivable sin and disservice to myself. The reason being was that every moment that I inhaled oxygen in my lungs, I risked having an extraterrestrial being descend upon earth, ripping out my organs and using my head as a trophy in their display case. I would have never allowed that. Not when I was equipped with the knowledge that I had.

The second goal was intertwined with the first. I wanted to develop so much that I could travel to other dimensions. I knew that right now, I was but a speck of dust in the grander scheme of things, but if I put enough hard work and dedication into my training, I would be able to experience my fantasies. My dreams. I would get to see what the multiverse… no, the omniverse had to offer.

The DC universe was vast. Perhaps infinite. But I had the tools that would allow me to explore it. I wanted to one day visit the true Earth One from the comics so that I was able to meet the people who I had posters of. Maybe, if I liked the place, I could even use the alternative planet as my homefront. Perhaps, I could build a life where I would be able to make my own family.

Perhaps, I could make my fantasies a reality and meet the flash that inspired me so much as a kid. Maybe, I wouldn't be able to just meet one, but all three of them.

After that, I could go forth and meet The Man of Steel, Superman himself.

If I trained enough, I could even become his equal.

As I fantasized about the idea of defeating supervillains the way I had seen depicted on T.V and in comics, a rogue idea came into my mind.

'Why do I have to be equals with anyone? Why did I have to stop at my idols, when I could surpass them… wait, I don't even have to stop at earth or at being a regular civilian. What if I could conquer my own planet with its own people.'

My eyes widened.

'What if I could make myself so undomanitable, that I was able to be worshiped as a god?'

The idea was possible. If I really wanted to, I could take over the planet I was on right now if I threw all of my morals and ethics out of the window. If I wanted to take over, there were only two other people who could react to me at a jogging speed. With more self-advancement in the future, I would be able to reduce that number to 0… but this world didn't interest me as much as the ones that were depicted in the comics so I still had my eyes on those.

'Perhaps… I could become the most powerful being in existence. With the speed force… I could in theory, out pace time… Perhaps, I could even become immortal.' My thoughts were filled with greed. For another person, they probably would have already acted upon sed thoughts… but even if I got to the main DC world, I had a set of morals that I abided by. Even if I became omnipotent, I wouldn't abuse my power, recklessly using it on the undeserving in order to maintain my regime. If I operated that way, I would have quickly become another injustice, Superman.

'I need to relax.' I thought. I was getting far too ahead of myself. I hadn't even been able to reach the speed of light yet, but my ambitions were to the sky. I needed to humble myself before someone did it for me.

"*Sigh*"

"Order 1956!"

The lady called.

Getting up to grab my food, I returned to my table and started to chow down.

'Jesus, this shit is delicious!' It was no wonder The Flash in the comics could eat so many without getting sick.

As I bit into the burger, the satisfying crunch of the onion rings vibrated throughout my body.

The chewy and crispy bacon's salty exterior was flavorful enough to make a person melt. The perfectly juicy patty disintegrated as it touched my tongue while the cheese stretched about two feet until it finally tore.

As I gorged myself, I heard the sound of loud sirens coming down the street.

'What the hell?'

Not just one, but six squad cars in total were rushing past traffic making their way towards an unknown area.

'What's going on…'

Like the flip of a light switch, a thought popped into my head.

'Barry should be fighting that duplicating guy about now.'

As that thought finished, I saw a red streak fly past me going at the speed of sound.

"Ah… This is going to be interesting." Using my superspeed, I quickly scarfed down my food and rushed out of BBB, following Barry's trail.

******

"*pop-pop-pop-pop*

In a dimly lit warehouse, two officers and a wealthy businessman took cover while three masked men in all black shot at them ruthlessly.

"Get him out of here. I'll cover you." The detective whispered to his partner.

"Ready? Go." Understandably not giving his partner enough time to replay, the detective started to return fire at the three masked assailants.

Quickly following his comrade's orders, the other officer grabbed the businessman by his arm, guiding him to the nearest exit.

"*pop-pop*"

Managing to put one of the masked men down, his gun slides on the floor. But as one man went down, another who was behind cover took his mask off.

Odd noises started to emit from the man as his face started to shift giving off the illusion of seeing double. As the man's face shifted and contorted more, his entire being started to divide into two until finally another entity was born.

Picking up the gun of his fallen doppelganger, the man proceeded to return fire at the detective. The armed assailants had a very simple objective, and that was murder.

Watching the entire scene transpire, the detective dropped his jaw in fear and astonishment. His eyes shook while his heart dropped to his stomach.

'What… What in God's green earth is he?'

This was the second time the man had seen something so reality-bending. He thought that his adopted son had a god-given gift and that there was no one else like him… but he now lived in the world of the SuperNatural. Now, he realized how small he was. Now, he realized what being powerless was.

The three armed assailants knew that they had struck fear in the detective, and so, they began to play with their food. Taking off their mask, they all stood side by side with sadistic smiles on their faces.

"*pop-pop-pop*"

Purposely missing, they slowly walked toward the detective who was on the verge of surrendering.

Weighing out his options, the detective looked to his left and right for the safest escape route, but his legs wouldn't allow him to move.

"*Wosh-wosh*"

The violent sound of wind being cut through echoed throughout the warehouse.

Along with came the scarlet speedster himself who ran so fast that no one had time to react.

Snatching the guns away from the doppelgangers, The Flash dropped them in front of the detective who was on the verge of losing hope.

Although his life had been saved, the feelings of fear had now been replaced with the feelings of disapproval. After all, How could the man be happy when his son had come blazing to his rescue without thinking of the consequences. Barry had just put his own life in jeopardy.

"Go!" Barry shouted at Joe while dropping the guns in front of him. This was to signify that the coast was clear for Joe to evacuate the vicinity.

"No!" Joe was infuriated. How dare the boy he raised try to hand out a demand. He was the father. It was his role to protect.

With his words, Barry realized that he would get nowhere with the stubborn man and decided to save him against his will.

Using his superspeed, Barry snatched the man up and tossed him over his shoulder making his way out of the warehouse.

Before Joe could even blink, he was outside and alone, but all that mattered to Barry was that he was safe.

Running back into the warehouse, Barry stood in front of the duplicating.

"Whoever you are, give yourself up."

Barry demanded.

Betraying his expectations, the man didn't flinch or back down. He stared right into the eyes of The Flash and responded cold-heartedly.

"Sorry."

"But we're not going anywhere."

x3"Until Simon Stag is dead!"

Cocking his head to the left, Barry raised a brow at the men.

He was confused as to how the men were able to maintain their composure as they had witnessed the capabilities instilled in him.

Not deciding to dwell in his mind, Barry zoomed past the host who stood in the center and pushed the clones on the left and right with enough pressure to knock them out.

Returning to his original position, Barry arrogantly shook his head and the man before him.

Sparking hostility within him, The man duplicated two more times creating perfect clones. He wasn't intimidated by Barry. He had received his own superpowers. In his mind, he was just as godly as The Flash, if not more. Three heads were always better than one, but against his opponents, he brought a whole new meaning to the saying.

Quickly jumping into action, Barry punched the left and right clones in the chest sending them flying. Attempting the same thing with the host, Barry with his enhanced strength launched his fist forward with enough strength to break ribs. But as Barry struck, three more clones were launched out the man's back.

Coming from behind, a clone stuck up punching Barry in his kidney, stunning him. Quickly coming to his senses, Barry kicked a clone in front of him, sending him crashing into a shelf.

As Barry continued to fight, more and more clones began to spawn, grouping up and restraining Barry's mobility.

They were hyper-aggressive. They were limitless in number. Worst of all, they were motivated.

Chest, Ribs, Liver, Face. Barry got impacted all over without a means of retaliation inevitably falling to the floor.

Once he did, the clones started to brutalize him. They kicked with all of their might and punched with all of their power. They aimed for Barry's face and eyes, leaving him to be nothing but a helpless punching bag.

Squirming on the ground helplessly, a silent figure observed from above with a look of confusion and disappointment.

******

'What the fuck is he doing?!' I couldn't help but wash my hand over my face.

I had climbed on top of a shelf in order to watch The Flash in action but couldn't help but be disgusted by the scene in front of me.

'Why is he fighting them at human speed?'

Observing the scene made me so frustrated that I wanted to join the side of the duplicating fucker just so I could knock some sense into the man I looked up to when I was a child.

After figuring that Barry finally had enough, They picked him up and threw him into barrels.

From my vantage point, I could see a black eye forming on Barry and I noticed his bloody lips.

'I can't stand for this BS.'

As that thought occurred in my mind, the 6 duplicates aimed their pistols at Barry.

Finally deciding to step in, I shouted, "Hey!"

At my roar, not only did the clones look up in surprise, but Barry as well.

"Get out of here. It isn't-'

Before Barry finished his words that I had obviously ignored, I sped up my perception slowing all of my surroundings down to the point that even the flickering light froze.

Using my speed, instead of climbing down for the tower-like self, I ran down defying gravity with control over my own momentum.

As time slowed, the clones slowly started to aim their guns at me but I didn't care one bit.

Reaching the ground, I reclined my arm back so far that I could hear a crack, then, I unleashed my fist on the first clone.

Moving at this speed and impacting a human was dangerous beyond belief. Just from a slight poke, I had the strength to kill someone. Luckily for me, these were only clones. I had previously mentally marked which Dopolioganer was the host, so now was one of the only opportunities I had to go at my full power.

"*Splat*"

The moment my fist collided with the first clone, my arm went through its head as if I was punching through a piece of paper. The clone's entire head exploded causing a bloody mist to spread amongst the clothes of the clones and Barry.

The thick smell of iron and copper filled the air as shocked expressions filled faces.

Something I found interesting was that although chunks of bone were launched forward, the clone that I had punched was like an empty husk that had no brain which allowed me to get a better understanding of the anime's powers.

'I see… They're not perfect clones… They can't think individually because they have no brains. They're like puppets that the main body can control subconsciously.'

With my epiphany, I felt no remorse for my actions. Removing my arm from the drone's head, I moved on to the next body.

Sprinting behind the next clone, I cupped its chin with one hand while I gripped the top of its head with the other. Then, with all my strength, like a top, I spun its skull with enough force for its neck to spin around three times.

Moving on to the next clone, I began to vibrate my hand so quickly that it looked like hundreds of hands were overlapping. With intense black and white lightning pulsating off of me, I shoved it into the third clone's ribcage. Like a zipper, I launched my hand upward, splitting the clone in half which scattered more blood and bone.

Running up to the fourth clone, I kicked its leg so hard that the impact detached them. As it slowly landed on the ground, I stomped its arms, breaking them.

For the fifth and sixth clones, I slammed their heads together just like I did with the thugs I encountered earlier, turning them into a paste.

After I finished, I analyzed my surroundings. There were only two people left. That was the host and Barry who both had expressions of fear and shock on their faces.

'Ah… He's probably not gonna like me.' I thought as I looked at the horror in Barry's eyes.

Taking a deep breath, I allowed time to return to its original speed.

With wide eyes, the host of the clones started at me while visibly shaking. Hesitating on lifting his gun, I could see his face starting to contort which I had already figured out was a tell sign that he was about to duplicate. Before he did, I sped behind him putting my large hand on the man's throat.

"If you make another one, I can't promise that your head will stay on your shoulders."

I whispered in his ear. He was short in frame so to him, I probably seemed like his worst nightmare about now.

"Nod your head if you understand me."

I could feel the man swallowing a rock in his throat. He had long since given up on the idea of making more copies.

"What are you doing! How could you just kill them!" Barry screamed as he struggled to stand.

Above feeling fear, he was enraged. Barry was a firm believer in the justice system, so the display that I just showed was probably a sinister sight to him. In all honesty, It was probably a sinister sight to any probable witness.

"Saving the day, Barry." I retorted.

"How could you say that with a straight face after you just murdered them in cold blood?!"

I could tell that he wanted to invoke his justice upon me, but he couldn't do much considering his broken ribs and arm.

"Well… Because the things I just killed weren't alive."

The man in my arm was sweating bullets.

"What do you mean they weren't alive? If that was the case, explain the dead bodies all around us." He pointed passionately.

"How about you ask the man responsible for creating them."

Barry then went silent and frowned.

"Don't be shy now, Explain," I said, squeezing the clone guy's neck which unnerved Barry.

"They're my army! They're not capable of thinking. The only way they can speak is if I send the mental messages to them!"

"What do you mean…"

"They're just empty husks. They have no emotions or thoughts. They can't even feel pain. The bodies will disintegrate in an hour."

With his words, Barry had a sense of relief over him.

"Then… answer my question. Why did you want to kill Simon Stag?"

"Because the man ruined my life. Stagg stole my research, froze all of my assets, and tossed me away like trash. He took it all. He even took my family from me. That man… That piece of shit deserves to die!" The man shouted.

For a moment, Barry had a complex look on his face. In just a few brief moments, he had witnessed the impossible.

"..."

"..."

"So what. You're gonna arrest me now so that some off branch of the government takes and experiments on me? Or are you gonna kill me now, just like you did to my doubles.

"Well, Quick feet. What do you think?"

"I think we should turn him in. I'm sure that no matter how many times he duplicates himself, he can't escape metal bars."

"I think that's a terrible idea."

"We can't just kill him. What do you suggest we do then?"

"I didn't say we had to."

"Then…"

"No, I plan on arresting him. That's why I took the cuffs off of that cop earlier." I said, referring to stealing Joe's cuffs.

"*Click*" Wrapping the clone man's hand in the cuffs, I pushed him over to Barry.

"I just know for a fact that a regular prison won't be able to hold him for long." My words stuck with Barry. He knew the words that I stated were very much true. He just couldn't think of a proper way of handling the situation.

"I'm sure that with enough time, the long-haired nerd could whip up something. But for now, capturing super-powered people is going to be a problem." With my words, Barry couldn't help but nod. My words were true and he knew it, but he just had no other options.

I had selectively chosen not to say Cisco's name. The Colne man could have used it against us in the future.

"I guess we just have to adapt as time goes on." Barry retorted.

Turning around while holding the Clone man, Barry made his way to the exit, but before he left, I stopped him.

"Hey, nimble boy!"

At my call, Barry stopped.

"I want to talk to you later. Meet me at jitters at around 6. It's my favorite little coffee spot… You know where it is right?" I asked. At my words, Barry nodded. Of course, he knew where Jitters was. I had never even been. But from the show, I knew it was where the love of his life worked so he was an avid customer.

"One more thing. Pretended like you never saw me. Don't tell anyone about what happened today. Not even the people that helped us."

"What do you want me to tell them?"

"Anything. Just don't mention my name." With his nod of confirmation, I ran away at the speed of sound.

"*Krakakaoom!*"

******

'That guy… the more I encounter him, the more questions I have about him.' Barry thought as he made his way in front of the Stagg building. Before him sat nine stationary patrol cars waiting to ambush the culprits who they had been chasing for the past couple of days. What they didn't expect was to see the new vigilante with superpowers that defied the laws of physics. What surprised them the most was that he was battered and bruised.

"Vigilante. My name is Captain David of the CCPD, and I-" Before the man could continue on his megaphone, Joe tapped on his shoulder whispering something. At Joe's words, The man gave a slight nod.

"I will be sending one of our detectives over to you so that he may take the man you have in your hands into police custody."

He stated.

Sure enough, like how Barry expected, Joe slowly walked over to him as the other officer aimed their guns cautiously at him cautiously.

Barry was still in his infancy. He had not yet built up a reputation where CCPD could trust him. But even with their distrustful actions, Barry accepted the current situation as if he expected it.

"*sigh*"

"Hello, Detective."

Barry stated. With his words, Joe only gave a nod that held slight resentment. Barry was certain that he would get an earful later, but he had other things to worry about. The person on his priority list was the man who had truly saved the day, Omen. He had saved Barry's life. Not only that, he halted the duplicating man's plans on taking more lives.

Handing the man off to Joe, Barry then bolted away only leaving behind a red and yellow streak.

***

Making his way inside of S.T.A.R Labs, Barry stripped off his suit and put on his regular get-up, sitting on the examining table. 3 people, in particular, had been waiting for him to arrive, them being Caitlin, Cisco, and Wells.

"Congratulations to the fastest man alive!"

Cisco stated with excitement. He and the others had been watching the news the entire time that Barry was out doing accolades.

Noticing his bruising, Caitlin jumped up in a panic.

"Barry, are you okay?" Caitlin asked with worry.

"Yeah… I'm fine."

He stated while staring into space.

Wells looked at Barry with many thoughts rummaging through his mind while Caitlin upheld her responsibility as a doctor.

Putting on gloves and taking out an alcohol pad, she began to dab Barry's face.

"Shhhh." A stinging sensation enveloped his entire face.

"Sorry."

Walking around to observe his entire body, she began committed,

"The abrasions are already rapidly healing."

"Yeah… I got my ass handed to me." He mumbled.

"I can tell. You got blood on my suit." Cisco spat with a flashlight on his head.

"Most of it belongs to him." Barry retorted.

"I can tell. It looks like you were an extra on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. If I didn't know any better, I would have said you were the killer."

With his words, Barry went silent.

"I encountered another not so friendly meta-human." With audible frustration, Barry rubbed his brow.

"Lucky for us and the rest of the world, you stopped him." Cisco stated.

Wells then rolled to the monitor next to Barry and turned it on.

"His name was Danton Black… He was a bio-geneticist specializing in therapeutic cloning. Growing new organs to replace failing ones."

"Apparently, Stagg-" Caitilin could finish, Barry interrupted.

"Stole his research and fired him… I know. He also has the ability to duplicate himself multiple times using his clones like puppets that do his bidding."

"Well… That's pretty ironic. The guy specialized in cloning and now he can make xeroxes of himself." Cisco committed.

" If he was experimenting on himself when he was exposed to the dark matter wave released by the particle accelerator explosion-"

"Meet Captain Clone." Everyone gazed at Cisco due to his terrible naming sense.

"Don't worry. I'll come up with something cooler."

Shaking his head, Barry began to walk away.

"Where are you going?" Caitlin asked worried about her patient who may have been concussed.

"*Sigh*"

"I'm going to go meet with Omen."

"Omen?"

Wells scowled.

"Yeah… He wanted to talk to me about something so I'm headed over to Jitters."

Barry finished.

"Tell him I said sup. I would come with you guys, but I gotta make repairs on the suit."

Cisco said cheerfully.

"Also, maybe if you had contacted him, you wouldn't have gotten so banged up."

"..."

At his words, Barry felt like he got kicked in his stomach.

"He does have a point. Omen and you have the same powers. Perhaps it would be a good idea for you two to start teaming up to stop metas in the future." Caitlin added.

"Noted…"

Walking off, Barry made his way to Jitters.

******

'I can't lie. This coffee is amazing.'

I thought.

For the past hour, I had been waiting for Barry to arrive. In my downtime, I just used the free Wi-Fi to look at the various world events that were happening. The main point of interest that caught my eye was the fact that the hero known as Arrow had started to change his ways. 2 years prior, he had been killing people relentlessly during the same period that the billionaire Oliver queen showed up. I was genuinely surprised that the media hadn't connected the two together, but who would expect a billionaire to turn vigilante.

"*Jiggle*"

The sound of the entrance of Jitters rang through my ears as a familiar face walked through the door.

"Hey, Barry! Over here." I waved.

Catching my eye contact, Barry looked from his left to his right to see if there were any onlookers.

'A lot more cautious than I expected.'

Making his way over to my table, he gently sat down.

Extending my hand, he gave a firm handshake.

"I'm glad you came."

"Of course. I had to… Also, Cisco says hi. He said he wanted to come by, but he had to clean the suit."

"Ah… he's a good guy." I added.

"Slightly annoying, but it just adds to his colorful personality." Barry admitted.

"Couldn't agree with you more… Hey, this place is pretty crowded. What do you say we get some fresh air with a nice view?" I said pointing up with my finger. With a nod, Barry disappeared.

"*Wosh*"

"*Slurp*"

"Ah… Chocolate peppermint latte. Best decision I made all day."

"*Wosh*"

***

Making my way to the roof, I saw Barry pacing back and forth.

"Yo."

Catching his attention, he nodded.

Sitting on the edge of the roof, I looked out into the distance.

Leaning on the railing, Barry followed.

"So… Why'd you call me here?"

"Why do you think?"

I asked.

"I'm guessing it has something to do with the events of earlier today… Am I right?"

"Bingo."

I nodded.

"So…"

"I'm going to be honest… I'm a bit disappointed in you."

"Ex-Excuse me?" Barry stuttered, uncertain of what to say.

"I said, I'm disappointed in you."

"I'm sorry, I guess… Can I ask why?"

"You had a full 4 months on me… and yet today was all you amounted to."

I glared at Barry causing him to flinch slightly.

"What do you-"

Before he could finish, I stopped him.

"You got beaten up by a guy moving at normal speed…"

"..."

"You and I have the ability to speed up our perception while also being able to move at the speed of sound… potentially even faster. And yet… Today you were beaten by a regular guy who could barely lift 150 pounds."

"That guy… he wasn't regular. You saw what he could do."

"Barry, everyone on this planet is regular to us in comparison. It doesn't matter if they have powers or not. They are inferior in terms of physicality."

"..."

"We can speed our perception to make fighter jets look like they are moving at the speed of bicycles. We can make people look like they're paused in time, and yet, you let someone who can't even move a fraction of our speed beat you… I take that back. Someone who isn't even 1% of our speed beat you."

For a while, Barry was silent. The words that I said to him were irrefutable.

"Listen to me… While I was in a coma, I heard you talking about that man in a yellow suit… one day, you are gonna have to confront him and I won't be there to save you like I did today. You need to be smarter in the ways you use your abilities because I guarantee, he will not be holding back when he faces you." Previously, when Barry had woken up, I genuinely did hear him talking about the Reverse-Flash, so the words coming out of my mouth were genuine.

"You are weak… Almost pathetic at this point. You need to get better. You need to get faster."

"..."

"..."

"I didn't ask for this… I didn't ask for any of this. I didn't ask for powers. I didn't ask for my mom to die and for my father to be incarcerated for the rest of his life. I didn't ask for powers!"

"..."

"So stop pretending like I chose this life. Like I chose to become this."

"..."

"..."

"What's your goal in life, Barry?"

"That doesn't matter."

"Just answer the question."

"..."

"..."

"To prove my father innocent."

"That's a very honorable goal… but how do you plan on doing that when the culprit is out there, super speeding around, killing people, and making orphans, just like you."

"I know you want to free your father, but would he approve of you giving up on people in need?"

"..."

"Unlike you, these orphans don't have the capabilities that you do. These orphans will never be able to get revenge. These orphans will forever be alone… and they will multiply the longer that man is free."

"..."

"Can you sit with that on your conscience? Will you allow homicidal murders to roam free?"

"The guy that I beat up today… He killed people. If I didn't show up, you would have been another on his kill count."

"..."

"The particle accelerator didn't just make him, you, and I. There are probably even more dangerous people out there in the thousands… also, how do we know that the acceleration just stopped at Central City? Its dark matter could have spread across the globe for all we know… What if more people decide that they want to abuse their powers?"

"..."

"I've been thinking… I grew up in a terrible and chaotic environment. My community was pretty toxic. The thing I craved more than anything when my own mother was killed was justice… I wanted order… but the guy was never caught and got away… shot her multiple times and I was the one to discover her corpse…"

For a moment, the disgruntlement that Barry had written all over his body language switched to sympathy.

"I'm… I'm sorry for your loss."

"Yeah… likewise… With all that being said, we have the ability to provide order to this world. In the future, the authorities won't be able to maintain the piece and so it'll be on me and you and whoever else we stumble upon."

Although I didn't plan on staying in this universe permanently, I wanted this version of Barry to get his shit together. He was a bright kid with a lot of potential. He just needed to be led down the right path. What path exactly? The path where he could be the best that he could be.

Now, I was no pope. I wasn't the next Jesus either. But I was a person who genuinely cared for people deep down. The entire reason the thought of becoming the leader of a planet had even popped over my head was because of the trauma that had been inflicted upon me as a child.

I wanted to create a world or society in my image. Nothing perfect, but a society where children could grow up in happy homes because I was a good person at heart.

Although I was personally under the leaf that turned a blind eye to thieves, I couldn't allow murderers to go around ruining society.

With my new power, I had no intentions of pulling a Light Yagami, but I did have my own set of morals that I firmly followed.

"Barry… I know it may sound like I'm taking in hypotheticals, but you'll see that what I'm saying is true. I'm sure of it."

For a few minutes, Barry and I remained silent, watching the setting sun.

"Hey…"

"What's up?"

"Do you think it's a possibility that the man in the yellow suit is still out there?"

Barry asked.

"Barry… we can almost stop time by moving really fast. I believe that anything and everything is possible." I replied.

"Then how do we prepare? How do we find other people?"

"What do you mean?"

"You said that there are other people out there around the world, I want to know, how do we find them?" He asked with a burning clarity in his eyes.

"Well, first, I think it's best for you to gain strength. Although I don't mind taking a leadership position, I think you should catch up to me so that people will begin to view you as such as well." Barry stared blankly, but then he understood.

"You can't hold the weight of the world on you should by your lonesome. I get it."

"There ya go."

"I have a follow up question."

"Go for it."

"How did you manage to move so fast when you were fighting Daton Black?"

"I'm assuming that's the name of the duplication guy?"

I asked. Barry replied with a nod.

"Well, have you been able to speed up your perception yet?"

"Yeah. I actually did it recently… but I don't know how to apply my speed in combat situations."

"How often do you practice your abilities?"

I asked.

"To be honest with you, rarely. I learn how to use my abilities more in the heat of the moment, like when I'm saving people from a burning building or stopping thugs."

"Well, that's your first problem. You need to get so used to using your speed that it becomes second nature to you. You asked me how I was able to move so fast? It's because I'm able to use my cognitive abilities as a muscle. I constantly use my powers for the most mundane of activities. Even though I only been awake for a minimal amount of time, in order to get used to my perceptive abilities, I've read 284 books while moving at the speed of sound."

"Wait, you can do that?"

"You can. And it's more effective than reading at normal speed. For some reason, I'm able to obtain more information this way." I commented. I could see just how impressed Barry was just by looking at his eyes.

"Once you learn control over your perception, you'll be able to react to things faster. Things like the fist of normal people… Also, Barry?"

"Yeah?"

"Stop fighting people with normal punches."

"But if I did… then the same thing that happened to those clones would happen to the next guy I-"

"Let me stop you right there. You don't have to gently push people. You can decerce the velocity of your fist by consciously. But you don't even have to go that far with it. All you need to do when facing normal guys is poke them."

"What, so you mean like, literally poke them."

"Yeah. When you're moving at that speed, you have incomparable strength due to the g forces that we exert. It would be a lot easier to detain people with a tap rather than moving at their spee, don't you think?"

"But… What if my finger punctures their face."

"It won't. I promise you." I affirmed.

"Noted…"

"Barry."

Turning to look at my new apprentice, I had to get something off of my chest. It was hard to believe that I beat him up and almost stole his powers.

"Wells… I don't trust him."

For a moment, Barry frowned at my words.

"The same Wells that saved our lives?"

"That very same one."

"Why?"

He was absolutely puzzled. For him, he had looked at Wells as someone who was respectable and commendable. An absolute genius mind who could do no wrong.

"You and I weren't the only ones who were affected on December 11th… and yet, he specifically came after us."

"But… can't that just be a-"

"There are no coincidences. There never are…"

"But where is the proof. Do you have any evidence to back up your claims, or is it just a feeling that you get off of him."

"He picked us up the same week we were struck. Almost as if he knew what was going to happen…"

"..."

"Look at the way he is with other human beings, It's as if everyone who is not immediately of use to him is discarded like a piece of trash…" For a moment Barry started to ponder on my words.

"Barry, I'm only going to tell you this once. That man is a snake. Keep your guard up because one day, he will strike. Pay attention to his movements."

"I… I will."

"Good."

"Does this mean you won't be around S.T.A.R. Labs?"

"That's exactly what it means."

"What about Cisco. What about Caitlin?"

"I have all of their contact info."

Digging into my pocket, I bought out the new phone I purchased with the money given to me by three guardian angels.

"Here. Put in your number."

Following instructions, Barry put his number into my contacts.

"Alright. Call me whenever you need help or you just want to hang. I'll be anywhere you need, bud."

"Thanks. Likewise."

"Now, you ready for your first training session?"

"Training? Right now?"

"Yeah. It'll only take an hour."

"Sure… But can we cut it short? I have to be at home by 7."

"You are a grown man with a curfew?"

"No! It's not like that. I'm just making dinner tonight and I wanted to be on time."

"Ah… How long is short?"

"Well, I have dinner with Iris. I have to be ready 10 minutes before."

"Wait, you have super speed."

"... You have a point."

"Yep."

I smiled, putting my hand on his shoulder.

"So… First, we're gonna start with a race."

"Where to?"

"Here to Star City and back."

"Star City? I have some friends there I should probably go visit. I'll save that for next time though."

"Alrighty."

"So, are we gonna do a count down or…"

"Nah."

Digging into my pocket, I pulled out a quarter.

"When this quarter touches the ground, that's when we blast full speed ahead."

"Nice thinking."

He commented. We were speedsters. The slightest microsecond could lead us to a disadvantage. With the quarter, the race would be fair.

"*Ting*"

Flipping the quarter up into the air, Barry and I watched like hawks.

"*Ting*"

"*KRAKAKAKOOOM*"

******

In a blue LED low-lit room, a man stood up from his chair, slowly taking off his glasses. Placing his hand on a technologically based pedestal, a black orb surfaced, reading his handprint.

"Gideon."

At his vocal command, a feminine voice responded.

"Yes, Dr. Wells?"

Manifesting in the form of a blue womanly face, the Artificial intelligence responded.

"Show me the future."

"Who's future would you like to see today?"

"Barry Allen's."

"Affirmative."

Gideon's face morphed from an attractive woman to a holographic news article dated April 25, 2024.

[FLASH MISSING VANISHES IN CRISIS]

"Hmm." Putting his hand to his chin, he began to ponder.

"Gideon."

"Yes, Dr. Wells?"

"Search for an individual by the name of Omen."

"Searching for the anomaly known as Omen."

After a brief wait, Gideon's results were finalized.

"There is no one in the time line by that name. Unfortunately, these are the same results as last month."

"Search again."

"I have already searched 4,978 times within the last 30 seconds."

"I don't care. Double that number."

"Of course, Dr. Wells."

"..."

"..."

"Unfortunately, no results ."

"*Sigh*"

Becoming rather impatient, Wells massaged his temples. He had been trying to glimpse into the past of the unknown figure named Omen for quite some time, but he only managed to arrive at dead ends.

"Give me a list of all Speedsters of the future."

"Pulling up a list of all who have interacted with the Speed Force."

[Barry Allen]

"Unfortunately, the anomaly by the name of Omen is not on this list of Speed Force users recorded in the future data records. Would you like me to attempt a facial recognition comparison in an endeavor to find the anomaly, Omen?"

"Yes."

"... Unfortunately, there is no one on record who matches his description in the future database."

Wells' eyebrow twitched at the words of the AI. Uncertainty flooded his mind. Who was this Omen, and how did he get so powerful so rapidly?

Was he a threat to be eliminated, or was he a lump of clay that needed to be molded?

Due to the constraint, he was in, he couldn't properly use the Speed Force like he wished. If he could have accessed his abilities, he would have already run his way back to his timeline, but due to his confrontation with Barry Allen of the future, he was stranded and was reduced to a regular human when he had once been a God.

'Maybe killing him would be for the better. Perhaps, I killed him already… It would explain why I couldn't find him, but then again, that would mean that destiny of the timeline was predetermined. I know for a fact that that isn't true.' He thought.
