Debris flew in all directions as the riders were engulfed in flames. The plane's propeller broke off and launched into the audience, slaughtering people by the dozen. The racetrack was about to sink into itself. Everything had broken into pandemonium.
That wasn't all. Random explosions let loose all around the stadium. Bombs. Ceilings collapsed and walls caved in. People were dying en masse. Everything was quickly falling apart. The common citizens and elites alike descended into panic. Everyone sprinted toward the exits in an attempt to escape. Everybody except one.
Alice stayed rooted in place, staring at the spot where Sora had disappeared. It was as if the sky had fallen. Her breathing became labored. She couldn't stop herself from hyperventilating. Her expression was one of disbelief, then horror…then depression.
Everything was going to shit. At that moment, the jumbotron lit up. The survivors turned to the big screen. There was a white question mark covering the black screen. The monitor glitched a few times before revealing something new. A masked man could be seen breathing heavily. It was terrifying to those watching.
"Hello! Did you all like my gift? I think I outdiddddd myself this time!" He exclaimed.
There was a moment of silence as everyone took in the man responsible. A few heavy footsteps could be heard as a new figure appeared at the stadium. It was the dark knight. It was Batman. He watched the large screen, his expression hidden by the cowl.
Alice locked onto the screen as well. Overwhelming wrath could be seen in her eyes. Imperceptible to anyone, a microscopic spark of red lightning danced across her fingertips. A simple knife appeared in her hand. Her shoulders were constantly trembling due to the chaotic emotions swimming inside her mind.
"There's a reason you all must suffer today…Such a perfect gathering. A hotpot of GREEEEEEEEEED…And Corruption! Gotham would be better off without you. Sometimes the innocent must bear the sacrifices in order to forge a better world. To the innocent survivors…good luck."
The man happened to glance in the direction Batman was watching. He nodded his head to the caped crusader as if they were the best of friends. The villain pointed his finger down, which was in the direction of the parking garage.
"Batman…The more you take away, the more I become. What am I?" The screen cut out after he spoke a riddle.
As soon as the screen went black, multiple figures wearing the same mask stormed into the stadium. Each of them were equipped with firearms. Most of them split off to the VIP parking lot in an attempt to kill the higher ups.
"A hole." Batman finally answered. He immediately dashed toward the closest enemies.
None of this mattered to the beautiful doll. Her attention was on the empty screen. She'd found her target. That man had to die. Her world had been taken away from her, or so she thought.
An arm gently wrapped around her stomach from behind. She immediately swung her knife, the strength behind it a bit stronger than normal. It mattered not. A hand effortlessly caught her wrist.
When she finally turned her head, any resistance she had disappeared. The knife vanished as she melted into the man's embrace. Sora gave her a tiny smile. He wasn't too happy that the event was ruined. Alice grew calm as well. A few rough kisses were exchanged between the two.
"Sora-"
"Shh."
The sleepy man put a finger to his lips in order to keep her quiet. Unfortunately, he was too slow. Batman had just finished incapacitating a nearby goon. He immediately glanced in the direction of Alice's voice. He raised an eyebrow upon seeing the golden eyed man. The two made eye contact for only a split second.
Batman wasn't there to witness Sora's collision with the plane. If he had, he would've been extremely suspicious. Of course, the look they exchanged made Bruce suspicious anyways. The sleepy man was too calm.
Regardless, he had work to do. The dark knight glanced in the direction of the VIP parking lot. When he turned back, the Lockharts were gone.
The two were already moving through the collapsing halls. Alice held onto the back of his shirt, wanting to stay as close as possible. He was leading the way.
"...We're going home. Let's check the car first." Sora muttered.
"Mnn." She hummed.
Some goodies were in the car that he wanted to retrieve. It wasn't too important but it was just enough for him to go check. His supernatural strength was revealed to Alice as he pushed away heavy debris like paper. She didn't even bother to question it, just like he didn't question her.
There were two doors on each side of the hall. An open one on the left and one on the right. Rays of light entered from the left room and spilled into the long hallway. Suddenly, the door to the right slammed open. A criminal entered the dark hall with an assault rifle. The light illuminated his figure.
"If it isn't the Lockharts. The rich die today. Goodbye." He spoke while raising his gun.
Sora ignored the man and kept walking. Alice trailed behind him, still holding his shirt. Before the goon could shoot, the warm rays of light became deadly. Those harmless rays immediately turned into lasers, disintegrating his entire torso.
The sleepy man didn't need to use his own light. Any ray of light could be used by him. How powerful was that?! If he truly hated the world, he could burn it all away using the sun's light.
Sora and Alice stepped over the corpse and continued their journey. It didn't take long to reach the parking lot. Unfortunately, everything and everyone was gone. The entire ground had collapsed. Multiple dead bodies could be seen in the massive hole. Musicians, politicians, athletes, social media influencers…a lot of them were down there.
"...Damn. The chocolate strawberries." The lazy man complained. Alice couldn't help but giggle.
"Fufu! The maids can easily make more."
"But I wanted those ones."
"Really?"
"Yes!"
"Oh. That's horrible. I'm so sorry, Sora. This is tragic!"
Now that it was a bust, it was time to leave. Sora casually swept her up. The broken doll was caught off guard by his action.
"Kyaah!" She squealed.
Her legs wrapped around his waist. With her soft body pressing against him, he couldn't help but a smile. The sleepy man gave her neck a hungry kiss before pulling back.
"...I got hit by a plane today. Now my back is hurting." He joked.
"Really? You must be getting old."
"Yup. That's why I need you to give me a massage when we get home, okay?"
"Hmph. Okay."
Without wasting any more time, they vanished with a flash of light. Multiple goons immediately entered the area. Batman entered as well. They all looked at each other, and the fight began.
