When Strange returned to the energy core, he saw Shiller on the phone. As Strange approached, Shiller hung up and signaled him over. They moved to a quiet corner, Shiller looked at his phone and said, "Open the door, to Director Nick's office at S.H.I.E.L.D. We have something to discuss."
With a "whoosh", a portal opened. When Shiller and Strange landed, Loki and Nick were already sitting on the sofas opposite each other.
The four of them took their seats on the sofas, one in each direction. After exchanging a glance, they knew what the meeting was about - solely about Del.
Those who remembered the last gathering of the Unscrupulous Quartet, it really ruined some people's day, and this time was no exception. Shiller, the organizer of the gathering, spoke first.
"I believe you all should have figured out the origin of the Faith Power in Peter. Now, let Steven introduce us to what this power is capable of."
Strange took over the conversation, sipped his coffee, cleared his throat and began, "As we all know, all the forces in the universe originate from the Origin Energy, which can be harnessed and used by various beings."
"Some beings are born with the ability to transform Origin Energy into a form of energy they can use, like you guys..." Strange glanced at Loki, who nodded in agreement, so he continued to speak,
"Some beings can't actively use this power, or they use it in different ways."
"The reason why human faith is so precious is that when humans provide Origin Energy to the Demon Gods through their faith, since they can't use this energy themselves, the transmission of the energy is completely lossless."
"Human souls can process this energy, making it purer, but since they can't actively use it, this purified energy will be transmitted without reservation to the object of their faith. As a result, Demon Gods like to spread their faith on Earth, where a single follower can provide them with ten times, or even a hundred times, more energy than other beings."
"However, not all humans are unable to utilize this energy. For example, Mages can use magic energy."
"Whether it's Faith Power or Magic Energy, they are both evolved forms of Origin Energy. Some are less evolved, and others are more evolved, and can therefore be utilized by different species…"
"Also, they can be converted into one another. For example, Faith Power can be converted into Magic Energy. Because Faith Power is less evolved, it can be converted into a large amount of Magic Energy."
"Take for example, many of the Demon Gods that left Earth were ordinary humans. They were able to ascend largely because they accumulated a large amount of Faith Power."
"Conversely, if an ordinary human accumulates enough Magic Energy, they can also transform this energy into Faith Power and ultimately become a Demon God. They are two sides of the same coin."
"As for what Magic Energy can do, I suppose I don't really need to explain, right? I don't say this out of arrogance, but I must say that even many forms of energy, which are stronger than Magic Energy, may not be as useful in human hands."
"Because of the frailty of the human body, we have to use various methods to enhance the depth of energy evolution, to remove its destructive nature and make it purer. Also, the amount of Magic Energy that humans can obtain is really limited. Under such circumstances, Kamar-Taj was forced to maximize the utilization of energy…"
"Because of our poverty in terms of energy, we have cultivated each bit of Magic Energy to its utmost over tens of thousands of years. This has resulted in our unique Magic Tech."
Strange raised his voice, exuding a natural confidence, "There are many more powerful races in the universe, but since the emergence of the human race, the area where we have always been ahead of other races is our unparalleled ability to manipulate and use tools."
"It is because of our weakness that we have engraved the gene of maximizing efficiency and minimizing cost. So, one day, when we have enough resources at our disposal, the rise of mankind will be unstoppable."
Nick and Shiller enthusiastically applauded. Clearly, Strange's speech was filled with both substance and connotation. During his time as Supreme Magician, he has grown considerably.
From a novice apprentice who knew nothing about magic and the mystic world, to becoming the Supreme Magician who rules over the entire mystic world, Strange has opened not only the gate to a new world but also broadened his horizons.
After Strange's speech ended, Shiller continued, "Since this energy can be used by humans, I think this seems like another great opportunity to contribute to mankind's Magic Energy reserve."
"Director Nick, what do you think?"
Nick adjusted the position of his eye patch, touched his forehead, and broke into a smile. He took a sip of water, cleared his throat, and then said,
"First, I want to clarify that everyone on Earth has the absolute freedom of faith. Regarding Kamar-Taj monitoring the flow of human faith, I do not agree."
"Humans are so vulnerable and their faith cannot change much. Even if they believe in the Evil God, it is certainly because the Cosmic Sorcerer deceived the weak humans with their rhetoric."
"We should always reject the idea that the victim is guilty. Thus, it's not right to monitor the victims, humans. To ensure the safety and peace of the cosmos, we must severely punish the mastermind."
"The Demon Gods have deceived faith from humans… That's right, deceived. They have deceitfully acquired the precious faith of humans without informing them about its value, and given them minuscule benefits in return, far less than what they harvested,"
"Apart from not giving humans enough returns, they also deceived humans of their precious feelings. Supreme Magician, what do you think of this appalling act of the Demon Gods?"
Strange wobbled his head and sighed,"Actually, I feel sad and angry about it. The utilization of energy by humans started late. Therefore, those greedy vampires took advantage of their informational edge during the days of our ignorance and ruthlessly exploited pitiful humans. They deceived us of our precious Faith Power in exchange for the most pitiful and meager rewards…"
Strange covered his face, he seemed to choke on his words as if he was too grief-stricken to continue. Nick scoffed and said,
"In that case, I propose that the Cosmic Sorcerer has an obligation and responsibility to be held accountable for this. Humans should use all means, including violence, to reclaim the Faith Power that has been exploited and plundered. This is the just revenge of human civilization against exploitation and invasion!"
"So, I declare, Avengers Assemble!"
