Chapter 1179 Professor (Finished) (Birthday Extra Update)_1

The cold moonlight seeped through the intact window into the room.

Within a room featuring a red hardwood floor and green wall lamps, a long table had replaced the office desk, single sofa, and other furniture. A dark green table banner was spread out on it.

The silhouettes of people sitting on either side of the table seemed rather peculiar.

The first person wore a police uniform, had a robust figure, and a solemn face.

The second person had a pair of large wings, golden hair, blue eyes, handsome, and beautiful.

The third person was dressed in a suit, with a red poppy flower pinned to his chest.

The fourth person wore a purple long suit, his face full of smile even without any expression.

The fifth person wore a tweed coat and a beret, dressed like a British gentleman, but seemed uncomfortable.

The sixth person was skinny and pale, his expression was cold, and he had a repulsive eagle hook nose.

The person standing at the head of the table was wearing a dark green suit, a red tie, and holding an empty wine glass in his hand.

Shiller's expression was hardly cold, and his facial muscles were relaxed. Yet, no one could relax when he began pacing slowly around the room, the echo of his shoe heels hitting the floor was deafening.

"I know you might be wondering why I have been so rude as to invite you to my banquet without preparing any dishes?"

Shiller suddenly stopped pacing, turned to look at the table, and the people on either side of it. He gently twirled the wine glass in his hand and said in a deep tone:

"I know that there are many like me in this world, but once they become rampant, I grow tired, just as you loathe massive pig farming."

"Therefore, I had to take some measures to control their numbers, but that is a very boring process. I wish someone could take over this task for me...Batman would be a good candidate."

Shiller stopped in front of the long table, gently put down the wine glass in his hand and said: "Before I met him personally, I thought he would be a good knife, but now I have changed my mind. So, the delicious dishes that should have been presented to you are no longer necessary."

Gordon, sitting to the left, turned his head and looked at Shiller, stared him in the face, and asked, "...what did you do to Bruce?"

Shiller looked at him and gently shook his head, saying: "Detective, I'm not a killer, I never kill, and I'm not a torturer, I'm not interested in tormenting anyone."

"I never ask anything from anyone, and I let them give me whatever they want. All who make a pilgrimage to me are my humble, pitiable, but fervently devoted followers, a flock of lost sheep."

Shiller gently spread his hands and said, "I have never set any traps, lied, or used deception. I am merely unafraid to show the real me to anyone."

Gordon felt his heart pounding, the pressure from Shiller almost suffocated him. Shiller leaned slightly to look into Gordon's eyes and said: "Whatever they voluntarily sacrifice to me has nothing to do with me."

Gordon slowly closed his eyes. His fingers clenched the armrest and another figure on the right side of the long table suddenly turned his head to the door in one corner of the office leading to the lounge.

The tip of his huge white wings quivered, and Lucifer placed one hand on the table, looking at Shiller. He solemnly said: "Don't do this, Shiller. You know that this will only distance you from what you desire."

Shiller suddenly turned his head, stared at Lucifer's eyes, reached out, picked up the goblet on the table, glanced at Lucifer, turned around, and walked towards the wall where the door to the lounge was.

At some point, a tap had appeared there, like the one fitted on a wine barrel, exquisite, delicate, reflecting a metallic sheen.

He extended the glass goblet under the tap, and the moment the red liquid fell into the glass, everyone sitting around the table had different expressions.

Cobblepot, sitting at the far end, slightly moved his nose. Jack, who had seemed asleep, suddenly woke up and began to get excited.

Alberto kept a poker face, Thomas Constantine looked a little confused, while Lucifer deeply furrowed his brows, turning his head towards the lounge door from time to time.

Shiller carried the half-filled glass of liquid back, came next to Lucifer, bent down, and brought the glass to his mouth.

Lucifer looked up at him, Shiller slightly raised the corners of his mouth, bent down even lower, and whispered in his ear: "We both know that he is special."

"Shiller." Lucifer called Shiller's name very seriously, looked at him sternly and said: "If you proceed with this, you will never have the freedom you yearn for."

"Yes, anyone who intersects with him may become the stepping stone for his growth. They won't die, they will just live on in endless pain, and then they'll stand up and burn themselves to add a touch of majesty whenever he needs it."

"No one can escape this destiny, including you, including your father. All your mighty powers mean nothing in front of his destiny, your ability to change heaven and earth, the cycle of life and death in the cosmos, could at any moment be reduced to a few sentences, forever disappearing."
