Chapter 1065: Astonish the Ordinary People (Complete)_1

When Tony Stark cast off the physical constraints that had always shackled him, and his soul entered the Realm of Death, the potential of the Iron Demon God was fully unleashed.

His wisdom, standing at the apex of life and above the cosmos, brought him unparalleled status and power.

The enormous shadow of the Iron Demon God gradually solidified into a raging mechanical army filling up the sky of the Realm of Death. Upon seeing the Goddess of Death, Iron Man, in an emotionless, indifferent mechanical voice, said to her:

"Return the price Shiller paid to you."

Death stood on the ground, looked up to the sky, clicked her tongue, and said, "So, you're planning to breach the contract?"

She reached into the void and plucked Shiller's arm out of thin air. Holding Shiller's arm, Death waved it at Stark and said, "Here is what he paid to me. Don't be surprised, I don't need to absorb these powers."

"I'm already infinite, absorbing any more power is meaningless. However, what he gave me is rather interesting..."

"If you want it back, besides compensating or replacing him, you need to pay an additional breach fee. Shiller taught me all of this."

"I won't pay anything in his place or give you any breach fee," Stark responded in his usual flat mechanical voice.

Death took a deep breath, clutched her chest as if supressing her anger, and spoke, "I've found that if I don't make this clear, none of you shameless humans will understand just how disgraceful your actions are!"

"The root of everything started with my failure to end my contract with the Egyptian Pantheon on time, and that madman Shiller used the beacon I'd left behind to harass me incessantly with calls!"

Death had been harboring her anger, unable to vent it on Shiller who she was currently working with. So now, she was more than ready to take it out on this Iron Demon God, who seemed to be friends with Shiller; if she couldn't vent her anger on Shiller could she not vent it on him?

As Death mentioned, the whole tragedy began with the creature known as the Egyptian Pantheon's balance scale. When Shiller noticed it, he thought that if a weak pantheon like the Egyptian one could have its own Valhalla, why couldn't he?

But actually, this was because Death's concept of time was different from humans'. The decline of the Egyptian Pantheon over thousands of years was akin to a mere nap for Death. She hadn't ended the contract with the Egyptian Pantheon on time, and the token also hadn't been reclaimed, hence ending up with Shiller and becoming a source of nuisance.

As such, it was as if Death had done nothing, strolling down the street when she bumped into a lunatic who insisted on selling her something.

Death was exasperated and steadfastly refused to sign a contract with him. Still, this man underminingly approached her company and caused a ruckus, coercing the Pharaoh into expelling her and her siblings from the company.

That would have been fine. At least when they were kicked out, they brought along a set of properties. Death thought to herself, couldn't she just stay put within her place and not come out?

However, Shiller lodged a complaint to her boss, Eternity, and his secret dealing with reviving quotas was exposed. She couldn't even make a side income now.

That was already a big enough blow but it did not stop there. The minute Shiller cut off all the pantheon civilizations' revival quotas, he turned around and started playing good guy with these pantheons and civilizations. They united for a protest against Death, demanding their revival quotas back.

Exhausted and done with the incessant whining, Death agreed to their demands and set up the United Heaven. When she took a glance at the contracts later, it was filled with pitfalls.

Before she could even confront Shiller about it, he came to her first. He not only proactively offered to amend the loopholes in the contract, but also brought along an intriguing book as a Christmas gift. The only condition was the revival of a few humans.

After beating her to the ground, Shiller offered her a sweet date. Death completely gave in and agreed to Shiller's terms.

However, the deal had barely been struck when the Iron Demon God appeared, expressing his intent to breach their agreement and refusing to pay the breach fee.

Now the only thought hovering in Death's mind was – what on earth is wrong with you humans?!

Following that thought was another - if you're sick, go get treated. Can you please stop bothering me?!

Recalling all the predicaments she had been manipulated into, Death was left laughing in disillusionment. Did they truly underestimate her to an extent of considering her to be but a docile cat?

So, she looked at the Iron Demon God and said, "If you think you can retrieve your friend's soul without paying any price, there's no such thing in this world. I'm giving you three seconds, or else…"

With a smile, Death brought Shiller's arm close to her mouth and created the illusion of gulping it down in one go. She could already imagine how excruciating it will be watching the soul of his invaluable friend being devoured bit by bit.

It was about time that these despicable humans received their due punishment. And this time, she was not the evil perpetrator but the righteous Avenger.

Conceiving her plan of revenge, Death didn't find it thrilling enough. With a wave of her hand, a feasting table appeared over the desolated plains. Shiller's arm was placed right at the center of the table. And with Death, who dressed in a grand dress and sat at the table clutching a napkin and picking up the cutlery.

She began to carve into Shiller's soul while saying, "You're more than welcome to stand there and watch your friend's soul being devoured piece by piece."
