Seeing how frighten she was, not fighting him off, all she did was as I get close to her, she clings on to him, saying, "Oh my God, I am so scared."

"I don't know but it was there, I could feel it following me."

"Okay, you are tired and need to rest."

"Please, don't leave me until Pappie comes?"

When she clings on to him, "Okay, don't worry, I will stay with you, now lie down let me get you a blanket."

Covering her with the blanket seeing her shoes still on her foot, taking her feet on top of his lap then unfasten the buckle.

Wondering, 'Why her foot was so wet? Did she wet herself with fear, but I took her up and her clothes were dry. What has happened to bring such fear?' Seeing she lie down almost helpless.

Taking a towel, Rufus, dry her feet then began rubbing it to get some warmth to get the blood flowing. Hearing her only saying, "The blood of Jesus," until she finally fell asleep.

Confused by what just occurred, "It is good that I came, but why did I have this urge to see her?

It was like a driving force keep pushing me to see her, she was okay the entire day, this could only be tiredness?

I didn't know she was a Christian, but then I don't know anything about her. That day in the church I found her on her knees praying, then at the hotel she used some scriptures."

Grandmother and Pappie came home after ten, then I return home. Unable to get her of his mind, Rufus didn't sleep well.

Sitting on the floor at the foot of the bed, "Pappie, please take me with you, I am afraid of being alone here."

"Honey, there's nothing to be afraid of, we will be back before the weekend and Rufus and Rawlins will come and check you," Pappie said.

When Mom's said, "Honey, Pappie is just going to attend to some pressing business, and we will be home soon."

Rafael sits on the floor with her, trying to reassure her, "Child, it is only for a few days and I have lived in this house all my life; we have never closed the door day nor night.

There's nothing to be afraid of, now tell me what you want and I will get it for you when we are returning?"

"I don't want anything, just return home quickly."

"I will child," Pappie said.

"Honey, if you are worried and want to be on the safe side, you could lock the doors in the night." Mom's said trying to help her to relax, seeing the way she was crying.

"I will Mom's and thanks."

Entering through the door overhearing her pleading, "Why is she so afraid? She could not be planning this, no one knew of Grandmother and Pappie leaving for the few days. "

Hearing the desperation in her voice, Rufus knew last night was not an act, she had thrown herself completely at his mercy, while last week she didn't even want him to touch her.

He thought last night's episode was she being extremely tired, but he could still hear the fear in her voice.

Pappie has never been drawn to anyone, even the girls are so scared of him when he comes to the house.

Looking on as he hugs her wiping the tears away with such affections, "I promise to bring you something nice."

Driving away, Rufus, notices her still standing by the roadside waving, "Oh Pappie, she is so sad, I have never seen her cry these two weeks since my Son brought her to me, I have grown so attached to her."

Mom's utters with such concerns in her voice. Rufus listen to then not saying a word, before they says he cares.

"It only for a few days Mother, we will hurry along and complete our business."

Rufus wave as the plane takes off then return home to have his breakfast. Thinking, 'Now that they are gone, he could go to the cottage and be with her.

Last night she reaches out to me and seeing how scared she was she might not push me away.'

Entering the dining room, seeing Carlos and his new wife at the table,

'I thought they were going on their honeymoon, so why are they sitting here? Did something happen, last night when I went to search for Courtney that I am unaware of?

Oh God, he is so snoopy and I cannot let him know of Pappie and Grandmother leaving for the mainland.'

Raising his head a few times, observing the way Risha was looking at him, pondering deep within his heart, 'What are they up to, I know this young lady is concocting a plan.

Where did Mom and Carlos find her? Is this a plan she and Carlos plotted, or does she have a motive of her own? Mom said that day they reach home, Carlos and the girl had an idea, what idea is that and is she aware of this plan?'

Listening to their conversation about how the wedding passed, Rufus just bends his head and eat his breakfast quietly, then he thought, 'He should visit Courtney and see how she is doing?'

Pushing his plate aside as he stood up, hearing his mom asks, "Rufus, where are you going?"
