Omens

With things turning out well in the valley, there were others suffering. Baldur was like a never ending hell on different individuals and clans, the bloodshed never seemed to end.

Bodies laid scattered around Baldur and his clan, his brutality knew no end.

Capturing those against their wills, and killing off offspring just for sport. This was literally hell. A carnotaurus watched from the distance, their body was almost black with white stripes upon their face and hind legs to their tail.

This individual had escaped miraculously from the clans fury, the many carnivores following Baldur enjoyed causing pain and killing. The carnotaurus looked down as she looked at her left ankle for it was swollen. Armor that she wore was on her head as well as horns, and her back had ankylosaurus armor.

The carnotaurus walked away, the image of all her friends still lodged into her memory. Memories of when they were alive, that was all that she clung too.

It was hard to tell how many clans there were, sure there was not a lot of those with conscious minds but they know to stand together. Those who have fled meet up with others and try to make a clan. They try to make it work.

This carnotaurus was a teen, she grew up with friends and knew little about her parents. This teen was unlike other teens, she had the knowledge of a adult. Her intelligence was something that many would die for, she was special.

Special to escape death and skilled in hunting and fighting at such a young age.

No one knew what it was that made many wake up, it was random but unique.

Some elders believe that the mind has had enough of being closed off. It wants to be something more than a mindless killing machine. Was this true? No one knows.

To become sentient was a big deal, but it came with risks. The risk being you will feel pain, you will become fearful of dying. It truly brought upon a new light but a even bigger and darker fear.

What would happen if Baldur completely destroys all the clans. This was something very concerning. He would stop at nothing to be the king of the conscious, the dictator of all beings.

The carnotaurus walked onward alone, her eyes looked all around her. She was alone, that is never good.

The blind beasts were everywhere at every corner, the blind only know how to kill and feast upon the flesh like ravenous monsters that they were.

To live in this world or to live in Baldur's world, either way there would be a monster waiting to end your life.

The carnotaurus blinked hearing a sound, the sound was heartbreaking it almost sounded like crying. As she walked up to the source of the sound did her eyes land on a massive body of a rex. The rex was dead, the stale scent of death was all over the corpse.

The sound came from a small baby, a little rex orphaned.

This always happened, a blind beast never knows when not to fight. They take on more than they can chew, and they learn the hard way. No doubt this rex tried taking on an ankylosaurus, the injury from the fight ended the life of the rex which in turn left the baby alone.

The carnotaurus walked by the corpse, she blinked hearing the sound of scuffling behind her.

Looking back she saw the orphaned rex following her, their large eyes desperately clung onto life.

This baby was not afraid of her, the sound it made was vulnerable. If left alone it will surely die by another creature or die of starvation.

The carnotaurus looked ahead before looking back, the little rex was really close to her as it looked up at her. It's hide was a dark brown with black stripes all over its body, this rex was clinging to her for obvious reasons.

Offspring were helpless, and many could see that.

The carnotaurus frowned at the orphan, she felt bad for the little one. The thing was she was alone and having a baby with her would just increase the danger.

She looked ahead and kept walking, her ankle was sore but she knew she didn't break it. If she had, she wouldn't be able to walk. As she walked on, the sound of being followed kept on behind her. The little rex was following her, and probably would keep following her.

She would have to be heartless to chase the baby off, so she didn't. The only thing with feelings, you feel a lot stronger than everyone else. Blind beast to some degree lack on their feelings, that or they ignore them.

The carnotaurus glanced back and sure enough the little rex was following after her in a clumsy run. It's eyes were on her as it desperately tried to keep up with her. This made her smile some, she stopped and allowed the little rex to catch up with her.

To see that much determination to live, that was enough for her. "Come on little guy.", she smiled at the little rex who squeaked at her in response.

Elders from what she remembered had told her that it was a bad omen to accept the blind beasts of any kind. It was bad because they would always turn on you when they became older.

The carnotaurus knew the risk but she was still going to accept this little one. If fate decides that she dies so be it.

With different clans they had different rules. Rules were clearly important and should be followed, go against them you die.

The carnotaurus knew of all the rules before her clan was destroyed, she will follow the rules while breaking the most important rule. She just hoped she doesn't get punished to badly, that is if anyone else was alive.

If there were any survivors of her clan they would go to a area known as Bellowing Heights. This place was a dangerous place but it always provided safety to her clan and the other clans they were in a alliance with.

This place was like three giant claws coming out of the ground, three mountains that emit a eerie howl whenever the wind would blow. She would walk there while keeping the orphaned rex alive.

As the day continues on does the clan of Bloodmaw hear the approaching dangers. Devastate was telling them what to expect.

"Baldur is unleashing hell on earth by destroying clans and I believe it will be a matter of time before he reaches here.", the behemoth said seriously.

Bloodmaw frowned looking at him, "I still don't know if you will betray us."

Devastate looked at him before looking at Scarface, "I admit what I did is wrong but I will do whatever it takes to make amends."

Belle looked at him with a worried look, Gambit on the other hand glared at Devastate after waking up from being rudely stomped.

Scarface felt like he meant what he said, though he was still a little uneasy about him. He looked at Bloodmaw who looked at Devastate.

Helm looked at Dingo, "Believe him or not if what he says is true we are in a serious spot."

Dingo frowned, "I hate being in a pickle."

Ruby listened to everyone with a concerned face, "I don't know who you are talking about but hearing about him concerns me."

Swiftscale looked at Ebony who looked at him back.

Grim snorted, "Just get ready to fight."

Bloodmaw looked at Grim and he glared, "We will have too. That brute is someone to not take lightly."

Harmony looked at Lockjaw as she listened to what everyone else said.

Devastate looked at Belle before looking at Bloodmaw, "The majority of these wounds I didn't get from Baldur, there is a brute who hates rexes. I suggest you keep your guard up."

Bloodmaw frowned looking at him, Grim looked at Bloodmaw after hearing what Devastate said.

Belle looked at Devastate before looking at Gambit, "When do you wanna teach me about herbs?"

Gambit looked at her and he stood up, "I guess I can teach you now?"

Belle smiled as she nodded. "Great!"

Devastate looked at Belle and Gambit before looking at Bloodmaw.

Scarface looked at everyone, they were thinking hard on this. "I think what we need to do is train and prepare ourselves. It is better to prepare for anything."

Bloodmaw nodded, "That and make a plan."

Grim looked at Scarface as he smirked, "Better than running around with our heads cut off."

Ebony frowned when she heard Grim say that.

Swiftscale looked at the youngsters before looking at everyone else, "If we work together then we have a better chance in surviving against Baldur or some other guy."

Grim looked at the baryoynx with clear anger in his eyes, he looked away from Swiftscale in a huff.

"Whatever comes our way we are stronger together. No matter what happens we will all survive and continue fighting for the future.", spoke Bloodmaw as he looked at everyone. "If anything were to happen, at least we fought with every ounce of our beings. If they want to give us hell, we may as well give it right back."

Grim smirked at Bloodmaw clearly on board with that.

The behemoth looked after Belle while he rests on the floor, he didn't know what would happen but he definitely was going to fight until he couldn't no more.

Helm smiled at Dingo obviously motivated, Dingo laughed feeling empowered by Bloodmaw's speech.

Swiftscale walked toward the youngsters, "I guess we train?"

Jr looked ready for it, Lesion on the other hand sort of smiled.

Knowing full well what to expect the clan begins its preparations. Baldur may come the next day or the next week, whenever he does come they will be ready for him.

Devastate looked outward toward the forest, he frowned remembering that fight with Smaug. If that was his name, he clearly didn't care much but he should. The fact that he kills rexes and wears the bones was a major red flag.

Baldur would have to go through Smaug to get here, he was curious on how that would work out. Perhaps, they would kill each other but of course it couldn't be that easy.

The behemoth looked toward Belle who was learning how to use and properly prepare herbs. Just the fact that she wanted to do that for him made him happy. They were together for only a short time but she quickly became important to him. That promise that he made was the starting point of this strange bond.

He ultimately thought that Scarface was dead, and to discover he wasn't was a big weight lifted off of his shoulders. Even so that doesn't change the fact that he was the cause of this. He would make amends for his actions or die trying.

Ruby was watching the two raptors curiously, she smiled at Gambit as she asked if he could teach her how to use herbs as well. This clan was the only place that they had that was close to any kind of home. If they lost it, then that was it. They would had to start all over again.

The clan of Bloodmaw was the only home that everyone here has ever known and they were going to fight for it.

The Bellowing Heights was in the distance for the carnotaurus, she continued walking with the little rex behind her. The only thing about danger, it comes in different shapes and sizes.

The carnotaurus could sense that something was off, she glanced at the little rex who seemed blind to the approaching danger. Her eyes narrowed as she carefully picked up the little rex and she began running.

She glanced back at two giganotosaurus who both began chasing her from the trees, they had different armor on and blood red and black war paint upon their bodies. Of all times to run into another clan territory!

The teen ran faster than both giants behind her, she kept running with the little rex in her mouth. The brutes behind her were persistent as they continued to chase her, as she came around a sharp corner she felt a sharp impact to her side. "!?!"

The carnotaurus rolled around, the little rex fell out of her mouth and squeaked scuffling after her. The teen struggled to stand as three giganotosaurus stand before her with nasty looking smiles.

As Baldur continues to attack clan after clan, we are introduced to a carno who has survived the attack. We are experiencing her pain as sheis on her own looking for survivors.

This carno is another addition to the book, and her with a few others will be meeting up in the next season so I hope you look forward to that! ^^
