Have you ever wondered who was the real monster?
Many have always asked this, and never has it been answered. What is a monster?
To plenty of individuals, monsters were different.
A numerous amount faced off against different demons for they were never the same.
Baldur stopped as he looked toward a heavy migration of blind herbivores, his claws moved silently upon his clawed hands.
His intentions were the same as always, he was going to be a king who rules everything and everyone.
No one would stand in his way.
Sawtooth watched the herd, his eyes looked at Baldur. "So, you have any ideas?"
Baldur smirked coldly, "I have loads of ideas, but if we are going to face off against clans we need more numbers on our side."
Sawtooth gave him a twisted grin, "I suppose we do. I am sure that we can find some who could be easily useful?"
Baldur frowned looking at the herd, "I merely won't trust anyone though."
Sawtooth looked at the herd along with Baldur, he smirked as he replied. "I will talk for you. As you saw before I can be quite convincing."
Baldur smirked toward him, "Very well."
Bonds and trust could only be kept by those who look up to you. Intimidation and strength just wasn't going to cut it. The tyrant like Baldur knew that, he would really have to thank that spinosaurus again for putting a kink in his plans.
If it was not for him, he wouldn't of lost the clan that he had. He would of been king by now as well!
Baldur and Sawtooth walked after the blind herd, by watching this herd they could wait and see who attacks them. The chances of the blind or conscious of mind attacking them were clearly even.
Sawtooth would be the so called 'voice' of the clan, he could determine if the new recruits could be trustworthy or not.
If they weren't trustworthy, they would be disposed of.
The blind herd obviously picked up on the both of them, they were skittish and some would run closer to the herd. The night slowly began to rise off of the land, the dawning sky took on a bloody color as the sun made its presence known.
Baldur caught sight of something in the shadows, he stopped and stared at the massive form stalking through the dark tree line.
This individual was not blind, for they walked with a powerful yet cool stride. The tyrant looked at Sawtooth, he gave his head a shift in the direction of the silhouette.
Sawtooth looked in the direction and he smirked, someone was obviously out for a early morning meal.
Baldur watched as Sawtooth approached them, he was emotionlessly calm as he approached this massive form.
"Greetings.", calmly spoke Sawtooth as he stopped closer to the massive form. His eyes were glued to the stranger who slowly turned to look at him.
"Who are you...", replied the brute in a eerie and unfriendly tone.
Sawtooth pointed at himself as he introduced himself, "I am known as Sawtooth."
Baldur watched from afar, he watched as the dark figure became more pronounced in detail and color. The brute was a carcharodontosaurus, he was fairly larger than most of his kind.
The carcharodontosaurus was a solid ash gray color, he had white stripes upon his face that went down to his tail. The brute had dark red eyes, and wore no armor. However, the tip of his tail was missing for it was clearly chewed up and heavily damaged there.
Sawtooth looked at the brute as he continued, "You are?"
"Fiend.", replied the carcharodontosaurus.
"It is a pleasure to meet you.", replied Sawtooth in a rather respectful manner.
Fiend had a distinct wound upon his lower jaw, it looked like someone had gotten a good hold of him there and they had dragged their teeth down to his stomach.
"I wouldn't say it is a pleasure, I was exiled from my clan.", replied Fiend in a rather low growl.
Sawtooth looked at him as he said, "I am currently working with another to make a clan. Our clan would greatly accept you, if you are interested?"
Fiend let out a uninterested huff as he turned away, no doubt he was going to follow after the blind herd.
Sawtooth quickly spoke up, "We are working for the top. By becoming the top, we can guarantee that we can change the very structure of how everything should be run."
Fiend looked at him slowly, "What?"
Sawtooth looked back as Baldur walked over, he looked at Fiend with a smirk. "Just think, if you join us you can rule the lands with us and get back at the clan who banished you?"
Baldur smirked as he said, "All that we ask is if you can be trustworthy?"
Fiend gave him a cold look, "You are serious huh?"
To promise something so big, of course many wouldn't believe it.
If it was to good to be true, than it probably was.
"I am, think about it? This world is changing, and it is giving everyone a chance to step up and fight for their right to rule these lands.", replied Baldur as he smirked.
Fiend looked at Sawtooth and Baldur in silence he blinked as he looked back. A wicked giggle came out from behind Fiend a good ways back, and the laughter came from a utahraptor who was a good head taller and longer than the average raptor.
This raptor had a clear mutation of some kind, for they had longer sickle claws and a even longer middle claw upon both of their clawed fingers. The claws was curved and looked close to a therizinosaurus.
Baldur looked at the raptor some what interested, "What is so funny?"
The raptor smirked up at him, her eyes were a ominous glowing white coloration with a faint purple hue mixed in. Her body was solid black, with even blacker feathers which made her eyes pop out more.
"I like the sounds of that! I hate how the world is now!", replied the raptor who grinned showing off her razor sharp serrated fangs that were some what thicker than your average raptor.
Sawtooth looked at her as he said, "You are?"
Fiend looked at her and then at Baldur and Sawtooth, it was clear he was thinking about joining them. The promise of change was some what to great to pass up, even if it would never happen.
"Wraith.", replied the raptor in a smooth feminine voice.
It would seem that the early dawn brought out the most interesting of individuals. Furthermore, Wraith had some very good hearing for her to pick up on their conversation from where she was.
"You want my trust, then promise me that you will change how this shallow world is run!", giggled Wraith. Her laughter was innocent, to "innocent".
Baldur smirked at her, "I suppose that is a deal."
"I suppose I can get behind this.", spoke Fiend who smirked lightly.
Sawtooth looked at Baldur with a pleased look. His face curled into a twisted grin.
Baldur smirked at the two new recruits, if they speak of being trustworthy to him then that meant that his goal to rule the lands would actually become a reality. "Good.", grinned Baldur.
Wraith nodded before she slowly began to walk away, "I will find more of those that I know. I will bring them to you."
"You know more?", asked Sawtooth curiously.
Wraith turned around as she walked skillfully backwards as she giggled, "I do! Trust me!"
Baldur smirked at her as she walked away, she clearly had some tricks up her sleeve. He even could guess that she could handle herself rather well. "Very well."
Wraith turned around as she continued walking back into the heavy forestry, her black body disappeared into the shadows of the trees. "Meet me here tomorrow!"
Baldur smirked, he would listen to her and trust her.
Fiend looked after the blind herd that was in the distance silently before saying, "While we wait why don't we grab a few bites to eat?"
Baldur looked after him, and he smiled coldly. "Sure."
The thrill of the hunt was something everyone shared, as surprising as that was. Only when they hunt was everyone the same, even for a split second.
The world was full of surprises. Even the cold hearted of people could share in the same interests or hobbies of one who was pure of heart.
No one can fully understand what the future holds for everyone, and that was why they all walked ahead and never looked back.
What would happen though if a monster would rule the world?
What would change?
That was the thing, the smallest of things can drastically change the order of life. This also meant that actions have consequences, and you would have to be responsible for them.
Baldur smirked with a bloody mouth, within his claws was a dead parasaurolophus that he caught from the blind herd.
Fiend had captured another parasaurolophus, as he carried it back to Baldur and Sawtooth.
Sawtooth showed little interest in meat, but of course he was not hungry at the moment. He was more interested in what was Wraith doing and who was she going to bring.
Baldur smirked as he looked at Sawtooth, "You curious?"
Sawtooth chuckled, "Perhaps, I am interested in those that she knows."
Fiend looked at him silently before saying, "Something tells me, she is not like normal raptors."
Baldur smirked, "That is good to have on our side then. I honestly can't wait to change this disgusting thing called life. Make it something that is ours."
Sawtooth smirked before asking, "Those tattoos on your body, do they mean anything?"
Baldur coldly smirked, the blood upon his mouth was still fresh as he replied. "Fear and Greed."
Sawtooth gave him a good size smirk, "They portray you well."
Baldur chuckled coldly in response, he tore the head off of the dead herbivore just cause he could. "I'm glad that you think so."
Fiend looked at the both of them in silence, he calmly ate the meat from the dead prey he had caught. He blinked as Sawtooth asked, "Why were you banished, Fiend?"
Fiend looked at him slowly before he gave his answer, "I broke a lot of rules, as well as stealing the heart of his daughter...literally."
Baldur gave a good chuckle, "Pfft! I will say you know how to do things!"
Sawtooth smirked, "Think, when we rule over everything we are going to change the rules. The rules will be our own, any who are against it may meet a untimely end."
Baldur smirked, "Yes, and those who betray us won't see the next day."
Fiend looked at him some what interested but he didn't say anything.
Would that really happen? To rule over a large amount of land?
There was no doubt that many would not like that.
Change could be good or also bad.
The morning was rather calm for the tyrant and his slowly growing clan, and Baldur would wait until Wraith's arrival. She spoke of trust, if he could trust her then he could also trust Fiend as well.
Sawtooth looked out in the distance, his eyes sharp for any kind of movement as they waited.
As the day came to life, so did the lands waken from the dark slumber of the night for many creatures took notice of the sunlight and warmth from the sun.
The clan of Bloodmaw was slowly getting up, and getting ready for the new day. Bloodmaw took notice of his sons for the both of them were getting up.
He approached them, he already had his mind made up on what he was going to do. Bloodmaw would teach Lesion the things that he knows. This would help him down the road when he leaves to marry Dreadtooth's daughter.
Grim walked outside of the camp, with Helm and Dingo following.
Though, the clan had plenty of food and water they still had to go out and hunt from time to time to feed everyone within the clan.
Swiftscale looked over at Bloodmaw for he was getting ready to walk over and teach the youngsters but was surprised to see Bloodmaw take Lesion away.
He obviously had his reasons to do so. The baryoynx walked over after Bloodmaw left with Lesion, he of course was greeted by a upset Jr who watched his dad and brother walk away somewhere.
"Jr?", asked Swiftscale.
Jr looked up at him and he frowned looking down, he was biting his lower lip. He looked like he was holding something back.
It would seem that Baldur is getting a clan together, which is bad news. No doubt he would be using this clan on Devastate and the clan of Bloodmaw.
