Lumipas ang mahabang Sandaling katahimikan. Naputol lang iyon ng biglang tumayo si Eppo. "Uuwi na ako." Sabi nito at umalis na. Nakatingin lang siya sa likod ni Eppo habang paalis ito. Maganda ang dalaga, masipag at mabait pa, marami itong manliligaw sa kanilang lugar pero hindi sineseryoso ni Eppo. Naisip nga niyang baka may nobyo na ito sa city kaya ganun na lang ito sa mga manliligaw. 'Napakaswerte ng nobyo mo Eppo kung mayroon man' sabi ng isip niya. Napabuntong hininga na lang siya.
