As the months change, weather changes are one of the influencing conditions. From frequent rainy weather to unpredictable rainfall that occurs continuously.
"If it's like this won't the training continue to be delayed?"
A girl was watching the rain-soaked garden, dark clouds covered the field where they were practicing.
"You're right, maybe this kind of weather will be until we get home," the boy beside her agreed with what she said.
The gray haired girl who had been braided watched how the rain poured down on the courtyard in front of the Empire. The distinctive aroma that blends between water and soil has become her favorite, every rainy season.
If it's like this, I always think of home.
"Princess Elie!"
The girl who was enjoying the smell of rain was shocked after a girl's voice shouted her name. Her body turned in the direction where a caramel haired girl was waving at her.
Elie smiled clumsily, "How did I get this close to her?" She mumbled.
"Looks like you're getting closer to her, Elie?"
Her face turned to the side, where a boy was watching her with a mocking face.
"I subconsciously let her continue playing with me," Elie replied, then let out a sigh.
Arriving in front of her, Elie could see clearly how the smile that kept on the face of the girl in front of her continued to expand.
"Good morning, Princess Navla."
The girl with flowing caramel hair replied by slightly bowing her head, as a sign of greeting.
"Good morning to you too, Princess Elie."
Elie gave a smile to Navla. "Early in the morning like this, you're so excited," she said.
While Navla only put on an embarrassed smile, she slightly glanced at Zavei's face who was leaning against the parapet.
"I'm just too excited to meet someone."
As she heard this confused Elie, the girl's gaze before her fell for a moment on someone standing next to her.
Elie chuckled, then walked towards Navla's body. "Are you currently in love with someone?" She whispered teasingly.
Navla flinched hearing Elie's question, moreover, the girl looked at her curiously.
Her head shook, "No no, I did not think about it."
Elie raised one eyebrow. "Is that true?" Her amber eyes glanced at Zavei who was standing by her side.
Meanwhile, Zavei just put on a face that doesn't understand.
"It seems none of my business," mumble.
Just about to lean back against the wall behind her, suddenly heard the sound of a flash of lightning that sounded very close to their current position. Accidentally, Elie bumped into the body of someone who had run past her out of nowhere. At the same time, the person she hit fell down the stairs beside the parapet.
Her eyes widened when she saw someone in training clothes who seemed to have fallen down the stairs (which only had 5 steps).
"Oh no.."
Elie ran quickly towards the person who was trying to get up. Elie looked anxiously at the clothes of the person he was pushing, which looked quite dirty from the puddles of water.
Elie held onto the shoulders of the person in front of her, trying to help.
"Are you all right?" Elie asked while checking the person's clothes.
But before she could get a reply, Elie was surprised to see the face of the person she pushed.
How can a face like this exist in this world? Elie mumbled to herself.
"Are you all right, Lady?" Elie asked with her dazzling gaze the beauty of the person before her now.
"Lady?"
Elie fell silent after hearing a male voice coming out from the beautiful person before her.
...
"You're mistaken again, Elie!" Zavei couldn't hold back his laughter.
Paying close attention to the facial features of the boy in front of her, Elie couldn't find any maleness in the face of the person before her. But her gaze shifted to the person's neck area, and what a surprise it was that she caught something protruding on this boy's neck.
Elie stared blankly at the neck of the boy in front of her. "I wish I was looking wrong, but why I can feel something staring at me and my back is heating up," She said.
Hearing what Elie said, not only Zavei, but Navla, who was also watching Elie, also turned around after hearing the sound of footsteps approaching them.
"What are you doing in this rainy weather? Princess Elie, Prince Zavei, Princess Navla, and..." The man's gaze turned to the boy who was being checked by Elie.
"Prince Zameev?" He asked while looking straight at Elie's back who didn't even turn towards him.
But not as he expected, the girl's face turned to him with an uneasy look.
"Prince Clovis..." Elie noticed Clovis' angry face, even though he just kept a straight face.
Clovis crossed his arms over his chest. "Can't you see it's raining hard right now?"
Zavei and Navla who was near Clovis straightened their bodies, feeling an intimidating aura from the tall man near them.
"Forgive our carelessness, Prince." Zavei represented speaking.
Clovis glanced back at Elie and also Zameev who had stood up from where he had fallen.
"Then you two..." Clovis's gaze saw Elie's pants were wet.
"It's great fun playing in the rain?" Praise him flatly.
Elie gulped down her spit harshly seeing how the flat stares were directed at her, plus the intimidating aura from Clovis that made her hiccup. Just as she was trying to bury her uneasy feelings, from the side, a hand stretched out in front of her body.
"Forgive me, Prince Clovis. I accidentally pulled Princess Elie out," Zameev stepped in.
But seeing Zameev's movements, Elie's worries were getting worse and she could see the change in Clovis's expression.
"Out?" He repeated
Not only Zameev, but Elie could also feel the atmosphere getting worse.
Elie ruffled her bangs. "You three better get back to class, I'll be coming with Prince Clovis."
Zavei turned his head and saw Elie who was walking towards Clovis with a straight body.
"But, Sis."
Elie took a glance at Zavei's face. "Bring Princess Navla and Prince Zameev to class, I'll be the one to sort things out with Prince Clovis," she says.
Zavei, Navla, and Zameev just glanced at each other. Then the three of them bowed their bodies to Clovis.
After that, Zavei walked first and passed Clovis's tall body who just looked down, staring at the face of the girl who was shorter than him.
Looks like eyes can't lie, he thought.
"Can you not look at me like that? I will not disappear, Prince."
Passing through a fairly long hallway, the two people who were walking side by side were just silent while chatting with each other.
"Didn't you disappear earlier too?" Clovis chimed in.
Hearing the reply of the man beside her made her speechless.
"I just want to enjoy the rain, Mister."
Clovis brought his body closer to Elie, "You're calling me Mister again, huh?" He asked.
Elie looked up, "What other than Mister and Prince would describe you, Prince Clovis?"
Clovis noticed Elie's two amber beads that could drown him at any time.
"I didn't expect anything else."
Elie furrowed her brows. "Is that true?" She asked to convince herself.
Seeing Elie's disbelieving expression made his pride tarnish.
"True, except for our relationship." He whispered.
Elie tilted her head, "What did you say?"
Good thing I used Dragon's whisper. He thought.
On the way to Clovis's room, from the opposite direction, there was a group of people estimated to be 7 people talking. Out of the 7 people, the one who was standing in the front row with Imperial robes noticed Clovis and Elie who were chatting.
"Isn't that Princess Elie?" He muttered.
Seeing Clovis' tall build standing beside Elie made his brows furrow.
He didn't usually want to talking with a girl, his thought.
"Clovis, Elie." His voice echoed in the hallway.
Hearing a man's voice shouting made the two of them turn towards a man who was smiling at them.
"Emperor?"
"Father?"
Elie bent her body and crossed her legs slightly lifting her top uniform.
"Glorious sunshine, Hail to Emperor Carlex the holder of gold."
Likewise with Clovis who also lowered his face.
"Greetings to the Caesar of Kings."
Carlex smiled at the synchronization of Elie and Clovis.
"Warmest regards to you both."
Clovis and Elie straightened their bodies again, facing the Emperor who was being surrounded by 6 people with various robes. But Elie's attention was drawn to the map in Carlex palm, which was the map she had seen during her studies in her past life.
"Disaster map?"
Without warning, words came out of Elie's lips that made the surrounding attention focused on the girl.
I'm so stupid. Elie cursed herself.
Carlex looked at his map, then looked at the girl in front of him. "You know what kind of map this is, Elie?" He asked.
Elie smiled bitterly, "I did learn a bit, Emperor."
Enthusiastically, Carlex held Elie's hand which immediately received a glare from Clovis who was standing between them.
"Would you like to hear about my problem?" Carlex asked with a hopeful face.
While Elie was thinking, suddenly her shoulder was pulled by Clovis until her face hit that man's chest. Her eyes twinkled in wonder.
"No, she still has some business with me."
Seeing Clovis' reaction made Carlex's lips lift. "Where do you want to take her?"
Ignoring his father's questions, Clovis passed through the crowd surrounding Carlex.
"Whatever I have to do with her, has nothing to do with you, Father."
But on the other hand, Elie had passed by the people standing behind the Emperor. She heard the words spat out after seeing Clovis' response.
"Isn't the Emperor's Son lacking good manners?"
"Of course, he didn't have one, that's why he was abandoned by his mother just like that."
"I don't understand why the Emperor wants to revive a Son who doesn't understand political matters, at least one who can help the Emperor."
"Maybe he wants to shame his father."
Elie fell silent, her lips feeling numb after hearing every word that was thrown out to this man who walked in front of her. How can a back that looks tough have so much sorrow?
It turned out that what the Emperor said was something like this. She thought.
