After healing and neutralizing the poisoned manna that had possessed Elie. Finally, that girl started to be active after a week of rest under supervision, and also she was given comfortable facilities by the Emperor.
After going through every treatment that has been done, Elie finally recovered from the side effects of the marking.
"Am I allowed to practice?" A girl asked while buttoning her sleeves.
Hearing what that girl said, just finished running the last course of treatment. The face of the man in front of the table turned to face her, watching the curves of that girl's face.
"Can you guarantee you won't feel any pain while practicing?" The man asked while walking with a glass of water in his hand.
The girl nodded, "I feel much better than the first time, Mr. Clovis."
Seeing the seriousness printed on Elie's face, made Clovis sigh.
"I can't hold you back," he replied while handing a glass of water to Elie.
Hearing Clovis's response made the gray haired girl smile.
"I'll limit myself so I don't get too tired."
Clovis turned his face, "It's good that you think that way."
Seeing the dark mane of the man who was clearing his desk made something push her to ask something.
"Did Mister learn how to medicine?" She asked after finishing the glass of water given by Clovis.
Clovis' hand stopped inserting his equipment. "I've only learned a little."
Elie smiled, "The medicinal technique Mister gave is like a healer."
Hearing this made Clovis's head shake. "I'm not that good," he replied.
I like the way he takes care of me. His technique is different from Doctors in my era. Elie thought while checking her wrist.
"Are you going to catch up with them?"
Her face turned up, following the direction of Clovis' gaze. The girl noticed the Princes and Princesses who had gathered in the courtyard with their horses.
Elie's eyes shifted away from the window.
"I will come when this is finished."
"We are finished."
The sudden reply from Clovis made Elie furious, she didn't expect that the straight faced man immediately responded to her words.
"Are you insensitive?" Elie muttered as she clenched her fist.
Clovis turned around again, his eyes glancing out the window.
"How about you come with me downtown?"
Elie flinched, hearing the invitation that came out of this stiff man in front of her.
"Are you serious?" She asked while looking at Clovis's back with a twinkle.
Clovis's face slightly turned to Elie. "If you don't want to, I'll walk alo-"
"I did not refuse it!" Elie exclaimed as she rose from her seat.
Seeing how excited Elie was after being invited by him, made him refrain from smiling at the cuteness of the girl who was younger than him.
"Get ready, I'll be waiting in the library," Clovis said as he took his cloak.
Elie nodded happily. "Yes, Mr. Clovis!" She replied.
After Clovis came out of her room, in a hurry Elie immediately closed the door of her room and leaned her back against the door of the room.
"How can he be that handsome?" Then Elie covered her mouth, holding back the scream that almost escaped her lips.
I will continue to approach him! Elie thought while raising her fist.
Feeling the atmosphere around the Empire's hallways which looked deserted, added a tense impression to a girl who was neat in the clothes she was wearing.
"Is this the library room?" Elie muttered as she watched the high door in front of her.
Her feet walked closer to the door, but her body froze before her hands could reach the doorknob in front of her.
"What are you doing? Didn't I tell you not to follow me anymore?"
The firm voice that came out made Elie want to know who made Clovis's voice rise like what she heard.
"But, Clovis-"
"Get out, I said get out!" The snapping sound made Elie's shoulders shudder.
Her hand moved to touch the doorknob in front of her. But before she could touch it, suddenly the door in front of her opened as someone's body appeared from behind the door.
Elie caught the face of the girl she had seen before, a face that made Clovis raise his voice.
Isn't she, Princess Anette? Elie thought as she bowed her head in greeting.
But all she got were condescending and mocking looks at her.
"You better back off before I push you down."
The words that came out of Anette's lips made Elie's eyebrows furrow. Before the girl's body ran away from her, Elie's palm held Anette's shoulder, who was looking at her with irritated eyes.
"What are you doing?" Anette said as she flung Elie's hand away.
Elie smiled crookedly. "Watch what you say before you say it to me."
Seeing the girl put on a challenging face made Anette feel her blood boil.
"You bitch!"
Anette threw her hand towards Elie's cheek, but her hand was knocked away before it managed to touch the cheek of the girl in front of her.
"Take care of your hands too, before I cut them off," she spoke with a sweet smile.
Seeing the bravery radiating from Elie's face made Anette falter, and ran from where she was.
"I will pay you back, damn girl!" Anette shouted as she ran through the hall.
Elie chuckled seeing the dress worn by Anette looking messy. "That girl looks very light handed," she mumbled.
"It seems so exciting that you forgot to come to me, Elie?"
The deep voice of a man startled Elie who was smiling mischievously looking at Anette's body from behind.
"Mr. Clovis!" Elie shouted.
Seeing the face of the girl in front of him change after seeing him, his lips immediately formed into a smile.
"Let's go." He said while closing the library door.
But when his body faced this girl who was shorter than him. Clovis was confused by the happy look that appeared in the girl's amber eyes.
"What is wrong with you?" He asked to be sure.
Elie smiled so broadly that her eyes narrowed. "This is the first time I've seen Mister Clovis smile," she replied cheerfully.
Hearing Elie's reply, Clovis cleared his throat.
"Nothing to be proud of." He walked past Elie's body which was still silent with a strange smile according to Clovis.
Elie followed Clovis' steps with a smile that had not left her face.
"Mister is handsome when smile," Elie gave both thumbs up.
Seeing Elie's enthusiastic face, he raised his right hand as both of Elie's thumbs were pointed at him.
Clovis clasped the girl's thumbs together. "Shut up, or I'll leave you here."
However, Elie showed a different reaction. The girl had a blank face, then returned a strange smile when Clovis saw her.
"Mister is holding my hand," Elie waved her arms around.
Seeing this, made Clovis release his grip. "You are as weird as they say," he said while looking straight down the hall.
Elie who heard that put on a sparkling face. "That's a compliment to me you know."
Clovis quickened his pace, turning his body to Elie who was walking behind him.
"I don't understand how you think, Princess Elie."
Noticing Clovis's red eyes that were directed at her, Elie looked at him with a calm face.
"Then don't find out what I'm thinking, Mister."
Seeing Elie's bitter expression made Clovis feel bad.
What am I actually saying? He thought.
"Oh, I saw Princess Anette coming out of the library earlier. Is there a problem?" She asked while balancing steps with Clovis.
Hearing Elie's question made Clovis frown.
"No problem actually, but that girl's brain is the problem," he replied.
Elie looked at the man walking beside her. "Did anything happen between you two?" Elie asked intending to alleviate her curiosity.
Clovis quickly shook his head, "Nothing, absolutely not."
Elie held back her laughter when she saw Clovis' face of rejection.
"Looks like she's the one approaching you?"
Glancing at the face of the girl beside him, Clovis's bloodshot eyes could see the dislike behind Elie's amber beads.
"Do you have a problem with her?" He asked.
Elie shook her head, "Not really."
"Then why do you look like you don't like her?"
Elie turned her eyes towards the exit of the passage.
"I heard your voice when you snapped at her, and seeing how she treated me made me realize, she was approaching you."
Hearing Elie's reasoning made the corners of Clovis' lips slightly lift.
"I didn't know that could also be used as an excuse."
Elie glanced at Clovis' red eyes. "I just don't like things getting close to mine, Mr. Clovis."
Unable to suppress a smile, Clovis turned his face away from his gaze to Elie.
Is she really a 16 year old girl? Clovis thought after hearing every word Elie said.
Meanwhile, Elie who was focusing on her steps was startled by a hand that grabbed her wrist from behind.
"Crown Princess Qavec."
Not only Elie, Clovis also stopped after hearing a boy's voice calling Elie.
"Crown Prince of Zeecda?" Elie turned her face realizing who was holding her wrist.
Clovis also saw who dared to stop them.
"Who's this guy, Princess Elie?" Clovis asked as he leaned forward to take a good look.
Meanwhile, the Crown Prince of Zeecda, Saveri, who saw Clovis' tall body, made him feel ostracized.
"I didn't know you were with the Son of the Emperor, Crown Princess Elie."
Elie's eyebrows furrowed. "Then could you let go of my hand? Your grip is too tight," she sighed.
Looking at Elie's wrist, which the yellow bead man didn't let go of, Even the man's slightly different look after seeing Elie's irritated face made Clovis feel irritated too.
"Hands off, Crown Prince Zeecda."
Saveri tilted his head. "Sorry to interrupt, but exactly what business do you have with Princess Elie?"
I should be the one asking! Clovis growled.
"We better go, Elie." Clovis tried to hold onto Elie's hand.
Just touched Elie's wrist, and suddenly a blow broke his touch.
"What are you doing?"
Now it was Elie who raised her voice. The girl couldn't believe what she saw, her hands were already red with her left wrist that Saveri was gripping tightly.
"Where are you taking Princess Elie?" Saveri stared into Clovis' red eyes.
Seeing the yellow eyed boy's behavior, Clovis could no longer hold back his annoyance. Elie could see Clovis who had an angry expression on his face.
"It looks like he's trying to control his emotions," Elie muttered.
But there was something that bothered her even more, the boy who would not let go of his grip on her wrist.
"You better let go, before something happens to you," Elie said while staring intently at Saveri's yellow bead.
Seeing Elie who was staring at him made his lips curl into a happy smile.
"I ran straight here after not seeing you for a week," Saveri said.
But those words were ignored by Elie, instead the girl just stared at Saveri flatly.
"Could you please let go? Before I use violence."
Saveri chuckled at Elie's angry face. "Seeing your annoyed face makes me even hotter, Crown Princess."
!!
"Let go before my sword severs your neck," Elie stared intently at the face of the boy in front of her.
Saveri froze after a sword swung at his neck, but he managed to move back and released Elie's wrist.
"You are truly mad, Crown Princess." He said while smiling seductively.
But all Elie saw was an annoying stare that made her want to vomit.
"I should have accepted your proposal at that time, Crown Princess Qavec."
Hearing the boy's words made Elie's body petrify.
Proposal he said? Thought Elie.
Saveri took the opportunity that came his way after catching Elie off guard. But the opportunity for him was but a passing wind, as his feet couldn't take more than a step forward after someone's tall build got in his way.
"One more step forward, I will destroy your Kingdom."
Saveri glanced annoyed at Clovis's calm face.
"Who do you think you are?"
Clovis moved forward, getting close to Saveri's body who kept taking a step backwards.
"I am Clovis Mattenva Xeviec, who will bury your life."
Saveri swung his sword in front of Clovis' face, but the man in front of him didn't dodge at all. But what was even more surprising was that Clovis's face was not injured at all. Saveri looked furious when he saw Clovis's face which remained calm.
"What kind of relationship do you have with that bitch?"
Hearing the word "Bitch" made Clovis smile demonically.
"Bitch? Did you call her a bitch?" Clovis tilted his head fixedly staring at the boy's face that was staring at him in fear.
"Do you have any last wishes?" He asked while gripping his sword hilt.
But a grip on his wrist stopped him. Clovis fell silent after a grip slipped through his fingers and linked his long fingers.
"Never mind, we better get out of here and leave that bastard behind," said Elie.
"Who are you calling a bastard?" Saveri shouted as he ran towards Elie.
But, he was rendered immovable by the sword that was already pointed in front of his chest.
"If I find out you are threatening my fiancé, I will make you serve the Empire forever," Clovis said with a serious look.
Hearing that sent chills down Saveri's spine, and he ended up turning away from the two people without saying a word.
"Just look at him, he's running like that," sneer.
But he became silent again after the grip on his fingers tightened. Clovis couldn't turn around now, moreover, there was a strange feeling squirming inside of him.
"Let's go, Mister Clovis," Elie said.
But something Clovis didn't know was that Elie's face was already red after hearing Clovis's words.
Fiancé? Elie blushed.
