Nothing To Lose Now

Seraphina slowly wiped the falling pearls from her eyes.

Her world was literally crumbling before her eyes and it did nothing but fueled her hunger for revenge more.

She gazed around her, Everyone, including her, wore black outfits. It was her father's funeral, uncles and aunties that she has not seen for years also gathered, even Catherine and her little family were present, all sending their condolences but all of that did nothing to console her, it only made her feel angry.

With a deep frown on her face,she stared at the Sullivans seated in a corner, then her eyes rested on Ethan with his gaze fixed on her, a little smirk appeared on his lips.

'it will be your end soon!' she murmured to herself referring to Ethan, Ethan raised his eyebrow in question but Seraphina ignored him at that moment.

She took out her phone from her purse.

"Where are you?" She texted Sebastian.

His reply came immediately "back"

Seraphina took a final glance at the Sullivans, her eyes met with Gabriela who was staring at her too hard to be normal but she shrugged it off, walking away.

"Sebastian" she called as she saw him

"Hey" Sebastian cooed as he pulled her into a hug, his arms tightly wrapped around her,

"Thank you for being here" Seraphina said softly as she wrapped her arms around him.

Sebastian smiled slightly, worry etched on his face

"I know how hard it must be for you right now, just know that you are free to let it all go. You can always leave all of this behind and go somewhere far away"

"I would have probably said yes to that if you had asked before today, but not anymore, I can't give up now" Seraphina said in a low tone, she looked up to stare at Sebastian,

"It's not just a revenge for myself anymore, my parents are now involved too. To my mother who ran away and my father who took his own life, I will see this to the end" Seraphina said, her voice laced with pain.

Sebastian nodded, he gently pulled her into another hug. "I'll be with you through it all," he said, his voice gentle and comforting.

"Miss Steele" A voice called behind them.

Seraphina and Sebastian abruptly stopped hugging, they both turned to see who it was.

"Gabriela," Seraphina called back almost in a whisper and her eyes blinked continuously, a slight fear crept into her soul,no one involved with the Sullivans was supposed to know about Sebastian, especially not this maid that had a strange aura around her.

Gabriela had followed Seraphina when she saw her leave earlier to this secluded area.

Gabriela had this feeling that Seraphina was up to something, especially with the strong demeanor that follows her every step.

But seeing her hugging a man was something she was not expecting.

She couldn't help but be curious about who he was to her, but that was not the main deal, she had something else in mind.

"Don't worry, I won't spill a word of what I just saw," Gabriela said flatly. "I just have one request" she added

Seraphina and Sebastian exchanged confused stares.

"What request?" Seraphina slowly asked, her gaze now fixed on Gabriela.

"Let me join in on your plan for revenge against them" Gabriela said to Sebastian and Seraphina's shock, they stared at each other appalled and not uttering a single word.

"I didn't mean to eavesdrop but I did hear everything" Gabriela went on

"I can help you, Seraphina. I know all of their secrets" Gabriela added.

"Will the wedding still take place?" Grace was the first to voice out in the living room where everyone was gathered.

Ethan gave his sister a fierce, piercing stare filled with anger and annoyance.

"It will, nothing will stop me from marrying Seraphina" Ethan said, a little loud

He turned to his father's direction,

"Father" he called,

Edward turned to him with a stern look on his face.

"It would be nice to get a place for just me and Seraphina after the wedding" Ethan stated

Seraphina slightly sat up, hoping Ethan's father wouldn't agree to such a request, or else it would be too hard for her to disapprove of it.

Edward slowly turned to Seraphina,

"Do you agree with him?" He asked to seraphina's surprise. She was not expecting him to ask for her opinion on it.

"No father-in-law, I would love to remain here" Seraphina replied, staring directly into

Ethan's eyes.

'I want everyone of you close to me' Seraphina thought to herself.

That way, it would be better to take them all down.

"Then that's final" Edward stated,

Ethan shot daggers at Seraphina, his teeths tightly clenched together, he was obviously mad at her.

"There are rules you have to follow as the daughter-in-law of this family," Charlotte began

Seraphina turned to face her, that was the first time Charlotte has uttered more than a single word to her since her stay in the house. And it did not sound like it was going to be something nice.

What kind of rules?

"One, you are not allowed to leave the house anytime you want, and when you do, you are required to take along a maid with you, do you understand?" Charlotte made clear

Seraphina gave a small nod.

'That's easy, are there more?' Seraphina thought to herself but that seemed like it as Charlotte did not utter any more words.

"This is so pathetic" Grace suddenly said, she rose to her feet and walked away, literally no one paid any attention to her.

"This is it," Gabriela said in a whisper as she handed a piece of paper to Seraphina.

They were both in seraphina's room.

"Good job" Seraphina said to her, she watched as Gabriela walked out of the room before dialing the number on the piece of paper.

Who was she calling?

Dorcas.

Ethan's supposed ex- girlfriend, who wouldn't be too pleased to hear about his sudden wedding.

It was all Sebastian's idea, all part of the revenge plan, just a little commotion on the wedding day would be fun.

The call was answered at the first ring.

"Dorcas Coleman?" Seraphina called,

"Yes, who is this?" Dorcas replied in a sultry tone.

"I'm Seraphina Steele, Ethan's fiancèe. We are thrilled to invite you to our wedding, tomorrow is the day"
