Game On: A Bullet To The Leg

"She has been shot! She has been shot! Heeeeeellp" Ethan cried out.

"Mother!! Mother!!" He cried on, holding onto his mother who was lying face down on the floor, she had been shot in the leg.

"She won't be able to use her legs for a while.

"For how long?"

"I'm sorry but I can't give a specific time, it all depends on the progress she makes on the way," The doctor said

Edward Sullivan sighed. He walked out of the Doctor's office to the hospital room where his wife was, lying on the bed, while his children sat on a couch in the room, gloomy expressions on their faces.

The operation to get the bullet out of her leg was successful, Charlotte Sullivan was deeply asleep on the bed, hooked up to tubes and needles, with machines beeping softly.

Two men in police uniforms stepped into the room.

"Mr. Sullivan"

"Yes. Have you found the person who did this?"

"Yes sir, we have found who the shooter was in your son's wedding" One of the police officers replied.

"Dorcas Coleman" he added and at that moment, Ethan jerked up to his feet, appalled and confused.

"wh..what do you mean?" He asked, now closer to the Police officers and his father, confusion etched on his face.

The two Police officers turned to face Edward as if waiting for an order to continue, from him, He gave them a nod.

"Dorcas Coleman, 25 years old, Daughter to Emily Coleman and Elijah Coleman, and she has an elder sister, Serena Coleman..." The police officer's words trailed at the end at the frightening look that Edward shot at him.

"Sister!"

The two men nodded vigorously.

His little mistress was his son's Ex girlfriend.

Edward turned to his son, " Did you know about this?"

"Y..yes sir, and I broke up with her the moment I found out" Ethan replied, his eyes not meeting his father's.

Edward sighed.

"And that was the reason why she came firing shots at your wedding, now look at your mother!"

Ethan didn't say a word, it was all clear to him now too. But how did Dorcas know about his wedding with Seraphina, they didn't pass invitations out, and even his friends weren't informed about the wedding.

The wedding guests were just random people his father paid to attend the wedding.

And miraculously no one had gotten shot or injured except his mother.

"Go get her!" Edward said in a loud tone to the policemen.

The police officers nodded and exited the room immediately to arrest Dorcas Coleman.

"Okay, thank you!" Gabriela said into the phone. She hung up, then turned to face Seraphina and Sebastian, they were in Seraphina's parents' home.

"My maid mate said the Sullivans are still at the hospital. Mrs. Charlotte Sullivan took a bullet to the leg" Gabriela said.

Seraphina let out a small gasp.

The little commotion that they expected to happen turned into something else, something bigger than they had predicted. Who would have thought that Dorcas brought a gun with her to the wedding?

Seraphina felt her body shiver at the thought of how she had been alone with Dorcas in the bridal suite. Dorcas could have ended Seraphina's life right there if she had wanted to.

"Breath," Sebastian said, he patted Seraphina on her back, gently.

"We have to get to the house first before they do, so we don't look suspicious," Gabriela said.

Seraphina gave a small nod, with a small feigned smile on her face.

Edward was in the car with Serena, his mistress.

He grabbed her neck aggressively, bringing her face close to his. "Did you know about this?"

"A.. about what?' Serena managed to voice out, she suddenly felt like she couldn't breathe.

"Your sister's relationship with my son"

"I..i.I did!"

"Then why didn't you tell me!" He said in a loud tone as he tightened his grip around her neck.

"Ple.. please" Serena begged as she struggled to free herself from his tight painful grip on her neck.

"Get your things, you will be staying in my house and you will be the one to tend to my wife while your sister serves her jail time," Edward said to Serena, who was trying to regain herself but got hit with another hardball.

"Wha.. What are you talking about?! Why should I be the one to do that?!!" She asked in a loud tone but Edward was already out of the car.

"Take her home to get her things and bring her to the house" she heard him say to the driver.

"No..no..no" Serena murmured continuously as she started to force the door open, but it was locked and didn't even budge. She started to kick it but none of that worked either, the car started to move with her panting uncontrollably.

"Welcome Miss, this way," The maid said as she led Serena into the house, Serena held a pale expression on her face as she followed the maid in.

"Isn't that..." Seraphina was saying as she saw Serena.

"Dorcas's sister! Why is she here? with so many bags? ... Is she moving in?!!" Gabriela yelped out in lowercase.

They both watched, confusion etched on their faces, as the maid led Serena on, while a man in a suit staggered in with Serena's things.

"What is this about?" Seraphina asked still appalled

Gabriela shook her head vigorously, "I don't know".

"So my wife will be staying at the hospital for a few days" Edward stated,

Everyone In the house was gathered in the living room, with different looks on their faces.

"Bring her here," Edward said to one of the maids

Everyone's expression turned to a curious one, except for Seraphina and Gabriela, they both knew he was referring to Serena.

Seraphina thought It would be fun. She was excited to see the expressions on Ethan's and Grace's faces when their father's mistress walked in.

"What is this!!! Why is she here, father!" Ethan yelped out. While Grace just held a confused stare, oblivious to who Serena was.

"She will be staying with us from now on and will be the one to tend to my wife when she finally gets back," Edward said, sending Ethan i'nto a complete rage of shock and fury.

"Shut it, Ethan!" Edward yelled, his voice vibrated through the living room.

"And note that there will be no wedding taking place again between you and Seraphina, the marriage contract you both signed is enough to lead you on your marriage" Edward stated, he stood up on his feet and walked off, with Serena, slowly lagging behind him.
