Leaving

---

Andrea: Atlanta?

Andrea and the others were surprised. They didn't understand why Daryl wanted to leave the camp.

Andrea: Why?

Daryl: Supplies. I'm going out to look for survivors.

Andrea seemed sad about his decision. She knew he might leave and never come back.

Back at the camp, Daryl began to prepare. He and his brother packed their most important belongings into their backpacks. After a while, they finished getting everything ready.

Daryl decided to tell Shane about their departure and went to see him.

Daryl: I need to tell you something.

Shane, who was cleaning his shotgun, stopped and replied:

Shane: What is it?

Daryl: Merle and I are heading to Atlanta to look for supplies.

Shane felt a little worried. The camp's best "fighters" were leaving. He wanted them to stay but understood why they had to go.

Shane: Alright... good luck.

After that, Daryl went back to his brother.

Daryl: Are you ready, Merle?

Merle: Yeah. Let's go.

As Daryl and Merle were about to leave, the group came over to say goodbye and wish them luck.

Dale: Aren't you going to say goodbye to us?

Carol: Good luck to you both.

Glenn: Are you leaving for good?

Daryl: We're not leaving forever. We're just going to get a few things and then we'll come back.

The group felt relieved to hear that. Knowing it wasn't a permanent goodbye made them more at ease.

Before they left, Andrea showed up.

Andrea: Daryl, if you want, you can take my car.

Daryl turned to her, surprised. He hadn't expected her to offer something so valuable.

Daryl: Thanks, but I can't accept that.

Andrea: Why not?

Daryl: You and your sister need it more than we do.

Andrea stepped closer.

Daryl thought she was going to hug him or shake his hand, but he was caught off guard when she kissed him.

He froze, completely unprepared. Andrea had kissed him when he least expected it.

She smiled, amused by the sight of the stunned man.

Andrea: Good luck.

Still in shock, Daryl simply nodded. Now, he had one more reason to return. Andrea was a beautiful and courageous woman. If she really liked him, he would be a very lucky man.

Merle, who had been watching from a distance, walked over, patted his brother on the shoulder, and said:

Merle: Let's go, brother.

And so, the two headed toward Atlanta.

As they walked through the streets, Daryl and Merle searched for a vehicle that might still work.

Daryl: Does it work?

Merle: No.

Daryl: Damn.

Merle: Maybe you should've taken the car.

Daryl: I thought we'd find something along the way.

On the road, they decided to stop and rest. They had been walking for hours without a break, and it was getting dark. That's when they spotted a convenience store by the side of the road.

Daryl and Merle exchanged glances, silently communicating. They approached cautiously, weapons drawn, prepared for any threat that might appear. Hearing no sounds, they decided to go inside.

The store seemed ordinary, the kind that sold a bit of everything. They looked around, grabbing anything useful—food and water included.

Still, something felt off to Daryl. The total absence of people made him uneasy. He decided to search the store more thoroughly.
