Rey's POV"Please get dressed. I'm taking you somewhere." Ben says, his voice rather sharp.
"Is it another one of your beautiful secret spots?" I ask teasingly.
He doesn't laugh or even flash the slightest smile. Something doesn't feel right.
"No. We have to take the ship there."
He begins putting his coat on.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"Nothing." He murmurs. I raise my eyebrows but continue to dress myself.
When I'm finished he walks out of the door. The walk there is completely silent. I try to sneak a few peeks up at him but because of the height difference, I can't see his expression. I start to feel sick. I don't know what's going on with him but I don't like it. Ever since this morning he's been so distant. Did we make a mistake last night?
He boards the ship quickly and I follow closely behind him. I look for the lightsaber and sigh in relief when I see it exactly where I left it. I also see Ben's helmet and to my horror he puts it on.
"Ben what are you-" he cuts me off.
"I'm going to contact Snoke. I'll need my mask on." He voice is now seemingly dark. I make sure to move to the side so that whom ever shows up on the screen won't see me.
Ben presses a button and a strange being shows up on a large screen that is off to the side. The figure is gray. It's eyes are a strangely frightening black. I feel my self move closer for the lightsaber, a habit I developed with my staff on Jakku.
"Supreme Leader Snoke," Ben booms. I look at him, swallowing roughly. His fists are closed tightly.
"Kylo," The being, Snoke, says. "How is your training progressing with the girl?" His voice is truly haunting. I see Ben shake with uncertainty.
"Very well. We will be back today." I bite my lip, confused with his words. Go back today? What happened to going to the resistance?
"Good, good. How is the impending issue we discussed?" Snoke gestures to the screen with his finger.
"It is no longer an issue." I look at Ben, feeling completely confused.
"Very well, then. I will expect you both soon." Snoke booms.
Ben nods and the screen goes black.
"What's going on?" I ask, frantically.
He looks back at me, the metal on his mask shines because of the ship's lights. He turns away and stares down at the ground.
"Ben," I say firmly. His fists close even tighter at my words.
"I have to finish something." He says, his voice obviously cracking.
"What?" I ask, shaking my head.
"I'll explain later." He says faintly.
"I don't like this. Something is wrong. Just tell me." I mumble.
"I'll fly us there." He murmurs. I furrow my eyebrows.
He sits in the cockpit. I sit by him unsure of what's going to happen. Everything I've felt that was wrong is crashing down on me. I've never been so confused.
We lift off and I close my eyes and put my head back. I tell myself but I don't believe it- not one bit.__________________________
"This isn't the way to back to the ship." I say as we glide to a unknown planet. But I know we are in the Ileenium system.
"I know." He says pushing the ship down.
"Why are we here?" I ask desperately.
"This is D'Qar." He says, not as answering my question.
"Why are we here?" I ask again.
He lands the ship in front of a large- base? This is the resistance base!
"Ben, I didn't know we were-" I smile wildly. He cuts me off.
"Rey, I'm sorry." He says, standing.
"What-"
"I never meant for this to happen." He says weakly.
"Ben, what are you-" I scramble for answers but again, he cuts me off.
He walks and presses a button that opens the door. I follow after him, practically running. A sudden large gust of wind hits me. He stands outside with Luke's light saber in hand.
"I'm not going to ruin your life. You need someone who is good for you. I'm nothing but evil." He says weakly.
"Ben, I love you. Please stop. You're scaring me." I say.
He hands me the light saber.
"I'm doing nothing but destroying your life. I can't do it anymore." I take the light saber but I want to scream.
"No! Ben, stop this!" I cry out frantically.
"You deserve so much more than what I can give you."
My knees become weak.
"Please don't do this. I've seen the change in your heart. I'm begging you, don't go back. Don't leave me." I plea.
"I hate myself for this but I'm doing it because I love you. I want you to live a full happy life. You can't do that with me." I can hear his voice cracking.
"This isn't fair!" I start to choke up, unable to get more words out. Hot tears run down my face. I hate that I can't see his face.
He begins to turn around. My heart stops.
"You coward!" I scream, tears falling even harder. The wind rips my hair around causing it to hit me in the face.
He stops but doesn't look back.
"How dare you do this! I knew you weren't worthy of forgiveness!" I sob, clutching the light saber so tightly it begins to hurt.
"I'm sorry. Please tell my mother I'm sorry." He whispers, sorrow obviously in his tone.
"No you're not! If you do this I will never try to help you again! You made a decision once. This is your final time to make it right." My head hurts and I feel like fainting.
"I love you, Rey. This hurts me as much as it hurts you," He says finally looking back to me. "I wish it could have been different."
I want to scream.
"You don't love me. You never did." I cry, gasping for air. His posture lurches down, showing my words hurt him. I look at him, rage burning inside me.
"I did and I do. I hope you know that." He says walking forward to board the ship. The wind takes a hold up the fabric that wraps around his neck, and yanks it off. It falls to the ground a few feet away from me.
Ben seems to not realize it and steps in the ship. A door closes behind him.
"No! You can't! Don't leave."I scream.
The ship begins to ascend and I fall to my knees.
"Don't leave."
I sink my head into my arms. Yet another person has left me.
I sob loudly.
Suddenly, I hear someone running frantically towards me.
"Rey! Rey!" The voice cries out desperately. I look up at him. His face is blurry because of the tears in my eyes.
"Rey, what happened?" He practically yells.
"Finn," I'm crying to so hard I'm not even sure if he could hear me.
"What did that bastard do to you?" His voice becomes suddenly soft and concerned. He gets down on the ground and holds me. I lay my head on his chest, crying hysterically. He goes to pick me up but I reach out for the black piece of fabric next to me. As much as I want nothing to do with it, I grab it, knowing it's my last piece of Ben.
Finn eyes the fabric wildly, like he wants to tear it apart. He knows exactly what it is.
Finn's eyes then focus on Luke's light saber which lays on the ground next to me. I look up at him and horror flashes over his features. He grabs it hesitantly and I let him scoop me up and I feel him carrying me into the base. I can hear him yelling out a name.
"General Organa!" He says it like my life is on the line, as if I might die. I'm so overwhelmed, it feels like I actually could. Then, everything goes black and I feel my head fall back into Finn's arm._____________________________
