So this is death...
Ah... It's so different. I have never felt this before. A pain so subtle, it doesn't sting, it doesn't burn, it's just there, like an afterthought. My heart, I feel the cold of the blade, it's taking over my mind, making my body feel cold, making my mind fade out...
Through my red vision, I see my own body be gutted by more spears as they laugh. They throw my body as I am caught by another and held up like a prize.
Ah... I hate it.
I want to kill...
.
.
.
...'Hahaha! Go on Liam, have some fun'...
.
.
Pathetic.
A mere monster dare cause me pain. Unacceptable. Unforgivable.
DIE.
I stab my sword into whatever piece of flesh I could reach of the monster holding me and with my other hand, I stab my fingers into his eyes and grab his head.
The blades in my body don't matter. The cold steel running through my heart doesn't matter. The pain doesn't matter.
I WANT TO KILL.
I scream as I pull on the head of the goblin champion, blood from his eyes flowing down my hand. My primal scream of rage and the monster's guttural scream of pain bellow through the entire room.
Silence settles across the room as the absolute terror of seeing what was happening in front of them, combined with the two cries of pain and anger, make even the boldest of the Goblin champions stop and step back in shock.
I feel no strength in my body, my arm is trembling, yet I didn't let go. The goblin kept smashing my body, landing punches of unbelievable strength right into my bleeding gut, even as he held on to me with his other hand.
With nothing but a single thought, I wanted to kill him as brutally as possible. I saw red, nothing else. The red of slaughtering every last monster.
Grabbing inside the skull like a claw through the eye sockets, I ripped the head right off. Holding the mutilated head in my hand, I landed back on my feet.
The monsters kept watching in shock as the body of the goblin champion dropped back to the ground with a loud thump, starting to disperse in shards of light, along with the head in my hand.
This didn't feel satisfying at all.
I cut off the spear handles and pulled the blades out of my body. The self-regeneration which had been keeping me alive this entire time, finally activates in full swing.
My eyes glow bright yellow for a second as pure light magic fills in my wounds, healing me completely to as I was. Every time I am hurt, I will feel the pain, every bit of it, but I will heal. I will bleed, but I will heal. As long as I have my light magic, I will fight. I refuse to fall.
I rip my chest and back armor away, deeming them unnecessary for the way I am gonna fight from here on.
Movement. The monsters start to recover from their shock. Good. I am ready as well.
Brandishing my sword to them once again, my spacial detection activates, Covering the entire range within 10 meters with my absolute sight.
8 goblin champions in the room, along with 21 smaller goblins. Of course, that isn't all, there are hundreds more outside the room. Usually, they would be cramming to come into the room, but as Ren pointed out, these goblins are organized. That makes them more dangerous.
Arrows. 4 from all around me. I deflect 3 off my shield while I dodge the fourth. Within that time two goblin champions started to close in on me. They are being careful, perhaps still wary in the aftermath of the horrific scene they just witnessed.
I have no reason to be careful. As I dash at them, I flip Lightbreak in my hand, holding the sword by the hilt, with the blade facing downward. There it comes, the first one brings down his axe on me. I adjust my speed to match the exact moment my shield can meet the axe. In a normal scenario, a powerful axe strike will shatter any shield, but with my skill, the only outcome possible is one favorable to me. Just when the moment arrives, I sidestep very slightly, making the flat of my shield meet the flat of his axe, deflecting it off the side and using the counter momentum to drive my sword into its side with the full force of my light magic.
I don't care to watch it disperse in light, if I have struck, it's already dead. What's more important is the oncoming spiked club aiming right at my head. I am in the perfect position... to kill this one too.
I am faster, I drop down to the ground, barely dodging decapitation. In a swift second, I rise back up to my feet, driving my sword through its chin.
Arrows again. I instantly step to the side as 2 arrows embed themselves into the dying goblin champion's body, while I deflect another off my shield.
Without looking I throw my sword in the direction of the arrows, eliciting another death cry. As I do, I host light magic into my shield and smash it right into the head of a smaller goblin, bursting it like a fruit. The splattering blood and brain matter disperse into light even before it reaches me.
Move. I sidestep as a massive punch materializes right where I was standing. If it hit it would have smashed my entire ribcage into bits. I turn on the ball of my heel, and with a loud scream, I plant a kick right into the goblin champion's torso, putting the entire strength of my body behind it, actually managing to send it flying off its feet.
Of course, I am not Ren, my kick isn't strong enough to kill a monster of this level. I immediately follow up, jumping off the ground, screaming 'Lightbreak' once again, calling the sword back to my hand as I land right on the goblin champion's chest with full force, thrusting my sword deep into his heart.
The look in his eyes as I cleave the life right out of him, I love it.
