After making those boys run off like scared cats, Adrian approached the girl and took Roy from her arms. To his surprise, he was sleeping peacefully. Curious, he asked her, "What did you do to make him sleep so peacefully?"
"I didn't do anything special. I just sang a song that I usually sing for my brother," she replied.
"I'm amazed. We tried everything to make him sleep, but you managed it in just a few minutes," He said in astonishment.
"I have experience taking care of little babies, including my cousins, so maybe that's why," she explained.
"I see. Well, thanks for that," He responded.
She mentioned needing to leave to be with her brother. Adrian offered to drop her off, but she advised against it, concerned about Roy catching a cold in the cold weather. It struck him then that he was a vampire's son and wouldn't be affected like a human. But still he might be a wizard or a Hybrid because their mother was a Vampire. He took Roy home and placed him next to himself before falling asleep.
NEXT MORNING:
As he woke up the next day, he noticed Roy was missing. He found him playing with Olivia and then went to the kitchen, where Aunt Anastasia was. He stopped her from calling the others and did it himself through his mind link.
Later, sitting in the living room, the realization hit him – he had forgotten to ask the girl's name. He exclaimed, "OH SHIT, I FORGOT TO ASK HER NAME!"
Uncle Alan, working beside him, was startled by his outburst and dropped his laptop. Handing it back to him, Adrian explained his dilemma. He suggested Adrian go to her house to ask her, but he didn't know where she lived. He encouraged him, mentioning he could sense her scent as a royal vampire.
However, he revealed she was human, which complicated things. Disheartened, He contemplated his mother's absence and Roy's predicament. Olivia's comment about missing our mother angered him, but he reassured her. As time went on, he struggled to find his mate, despite his royal abilities.
Three years had passed, and his search had yielded no results. Frustration had led him to give up. He even forbade mentioning his mother's name in the house, blaming her absence for their troubles.
One day, during a music practice session, his brother, Nicholas shared his fight with Gabriel, another Brother. Gabriel destroyed Nicholas' assignment, causing an argument. He intervened, demanding an explanation from Gabriel. He admitted he was searching for Roy and was frustrated by his inability to find him. After a tense exchange, he agreed to submit Nicholas' assignment.
Suddenly, a thought struck him – Roy was missing. Adrian rushed out of the room, with Nicholas and Gabriel following, panic in their eyes. They searched relentlessly, but Roy was nowhere to be found.
Where could he be?
How could we locate him?
What had happened to him?
*************
Returning to Manhattan after three years, Zarriah enrolled in college, uneasy amid the crowd. As a private person, she had left Morocco due to similar reasons. Nervousness overwhelmed her as she entered the college grounds, making her look pale. A kind boy offered assistance, guiding her through the paperwork.
Later, she reached her sister Amelia's house, purchased three years earlier when she moved to Manhattan. Crossing the road towards the house, she witnessed a man dragging a little boy. Instinctively, she intervened, demanding to know who he was and why the child was crying.
"He's my child, and he's crying because he fell," the man replied.
Unconvinced, She insisted, "Put him down RIGHT NOW."
After obeying, the boy came to her and revealed that the man tried to kidnap him, slapping him in the process. The moment the little boy came to her that man who tried to kidnap the boy attempted to flee, but with the help of passersby, he was caught and lost his chance to run away. Zarriah took both the boy and the man to the police station and filed a report of child kidnapping in police station against that man and explained the details of what happened.
As the man was arrested, Zarriah asked the little boy to give his family's contact so She can tell them to pick him up. He gave her his brother's contact and she dialed the boy's brother's number , who arrived shortly after. The boy, Roy, explained what had transpired. His honesty surprised me. One of the boys thanked me and soon a girl arrived.
"Hey little baby you made us so scared. How did you end up in here. This isn't a good place for little baby's" the girl said
"Big sis I lost my way and this auntie helped me when that monster tried to kidnap me" he replied
"Little boy, do I look that old to you that you are calling me auntie" Zarriah asked feeling weird.
"That is because my elder brother and sister told me never to call your elders by their names" he replied innocence evident on his face.
"They taught you good little boy but I'm not that old, look at your sister. I think I may be around her age so you can call me big sis, auntie feels awkward to me" Zarriab said explaining as good as she can.
He nodded with a smile.
"Olivia take Roy out of here, we need to talk about something important now" One of the boys said and the girl left with the little boy.
Another boy caught my attention. His voice was cold as he spoke to me, saying, "Put your guards down."
Sensing his intentions, Zarriah reached out to her sister, asking her to relax the guards she had assigned to protect her. His statement about being attracted to Her resonated.
Suddenly, She recognized him as my mate.
"MATE."
. What will Gabriel do after realizing that he has found his mate and learned about her identity?
. Will Zariah's connection with Gabriel and his family lead to unforeseen challenges or unexpected alliances?
