Chapter Nineteen

Following Natsu's keen sense of smell Lucy, Gray, Happy, and Juvia arrive at the Tower of Heaven by canon leaving the dragon slayer sick.

After noticing there were too many guards they decide to use the underwater path that Juvia found.

When they entered the tower they were lucky to meet up with Erza who had just escaped and was looking for Jellal.

"Erza!!"

"You guy what are you doing here"

"Isn't that obvious we came to save you"

"Thank god you're okay"

Erza looks around and asks "Where is Yami?"

"Ahh Yami is trapped back at the resort" Lucy answers

"but it is Yami he will be here soon," Gray said

After confirming Yami wasn't around "It's fine you guys can go back I will deal with this myself"

"No way!! Those bastards catnapped Happy" Natsu refused

Seeing she couldn't convince them to go back Erza decides to tell them about her past and the R-System. She then claims that she would be the one to face Jellal.

Sho then appears, having overheard everything was furious at Jellal who had manipulated them. Erza assures Sho that she would never betray them.

Simon then approaches them saying that he had known the truth, and they decide to work together and stop Jellal.

When there started to move, an audio of Jellal was sent to everybody in the tower. He tells them that they were going to play a game for them to prevent him from using Erza to revive Zeref.

He lets them know that the Etherion will be hit them soon.

Hear what Jellal said an angry Sho uses his magic to put Erza in a card claiming he was going to protect her and runs to look for Jellal leaving the others behind.

Erza tries to reason with him to let her go but he refuses. He finally meets one of the trinity ravens 'Ikaruga'

"good day," Ikaruga greets him.

Sho attacks her but it didn't hit

"Move!! I'm not interested in fighting you" Sho said as he sends out more attacks

Ikaruga cuts through all his attacks and proceeds to attack him.

Erza who is trapped inside the card watches as Sho is cut down by Ikaruga.

"Sho!!" Erza shouts out in worry.

"Oh, you were here!?" Ikaruga was surprised.

"Let me out Sho" Erza calls out

"It is alright she can't get you in there," Sho said

"Let me out that sword is not normal" Erza warns him.

Ikaruga waves her sword which Erza blocks from the card.

"Oh my you even block it as expected of you" Ikaruga compliments

'her attack can even reach different dimensions' Erza was shocked

Ikaruga doesn't stop until Erza uses the chance to break free from the card.

Erza attempts to leave but Ikaruga doesn't allow her.

"I have no business with you," Erza said

"But we're just getting started" Ikaruga laughed

Suddenly Erza's armor breaks into pieces.

Not let that stop her Erza{REQUIP'S} into {HEAVEN'S WHEEL ARMOR}. She prepares to use the circle sword but were all shattered by Ikaruga's attack including her armor.

'How did she do that!?' Ezra was now frustrated 'if only I could use the {KI} that Yami was talking about"

"what are you thinking about" Ikaruga attack again using {CIRCLE SWORD}

Erza {REQUIP'S} to the {FLAME EMPRESS ARMOR} to protect herself from the flames.

Wow as expected of Titania. What fast {REQUIP} but…" Ikaruga smiles

Erza's armor starts to break apart but this time only half of it was destroyed,

"Oya~ you managed to dodge some of my attacks" Ikaruga was shocked "well now things are becoming interesting"

Erza was on one knee as she took in deep breathes 'I was barely able to block it'

This was thanks to the training that she had done with Yami. Although most of Yami's attacks aren't as fast as Ikaruga they were harder to dodge.

'can I really do it Yami?'

*Flashback*

"of course, you can" Yami look looked at Erza who was out of breath from another training session.

"then why can't still get it?"

"As you know KI needs a person to use five senses as well as concentration"

"You have good concentration but you aren't able to relax your mind" Yami explained "it's like you are trying to hide from something. I don't know what it is but when you're able to let it go you should be able to do it"

"Really!?" she looks up to Yami who was smiling

"Yes!! Because you're are strong Erza"

*End*

'That is right! I'm stronger than this' Erza gets up to her feet with determination in her eyes.

She then {REQUIP} into a 'hakama' while holding a katana

"Ara! Don't you have any stronger armor" Ikaruga mocks her

"I don't need a strong armor to defeat you" Erza closes her eyes taking another deep breath.

When she opens her eye the world look very clear to her. She could feel the presence of everything around her more clearly than before.

'so this is KI'

She turns her eyes to look at Ikaruga "let's finish this"

Both of them move at incredible speed as they cross each other.

When they finally stopped Ikaruga looks back at Ezra in shock "how did you…?"

She wasn't able to finish the sentence before a large cut appears on her chest,

"Wow! So this Erza's power" Sho was still shocked seeing how easily she defeated Ikaruga.

"Sho are you okay?" she turns to him

"I'm fine" Sho answers

"That is good I need you to tell the others that they should leave the tower I will deal with Jellal myself," Erza tells him

"But..."

"Go!! There are only a few minutes left before the Etherion is activated" Ezra said with a stern voice

Sho walk back to the lower floors while thinking of how they were wrong about Erza and Jellal.

He suddenly stops as an overwhelming pressure appears. His whole body became heavy he felt like he was deep in the ocean.

He hears somebody's footsteps coming. Struggling to raise his he looks at the person coming.

"Dark... Swordsman!!"

Yami right at that moment had a gloomy look on his face. It took him a very long time before he was able to get rid of the barrier. So he was taking out his anger on the person who put him there.

Yami looks down at Sho "where is Erza?"

"She had gone up to meet Jellal," Sho said in fear

Sigh* Yami takes back his magic power "quickly get out of here I will deal with the rest"

"Yes!!" Sho instantly leaves as he was afraid of Yami.

Yami looked at Sho who was running like he saw a ghost before he continues to move. He had already met Natsu and Simon who were arguing about going to save Erza and was able to convince Natsu to go back with the others.

After walking a bit, he sees the injured body of Ikaruga on the floor.

"Oi are you alive?" Yami pokes her with his sword.

Ikaruga move a bit from the pain.

"Can't leave her like this" Yami scratches his head.

He remove the first aid kit from his {REQUIP} and does a quick treatment that would stop the bleeding.

"That should do it" Yami smiled.

As he was about to continue moving he feels a large amount of magic appearing. The whole place was covered in light.

When the blast clears up the outer wall of the tower began to crumble revealing a Lacrima like structure.

"Is finally time huh!" Yami said.

He was waiting for the Etherion to be fired as he knows by all the talk that Erza and Jellal had to do was done and Jellal should have betrayed her by now. If not for that he won't bother about the injured Ikaruga just now.
