As I was dazed from the shock, the cat leapt and continued its path. This plunged me back to reality.
As I regained my senses, I saw that there is no another way for it to cross.
-Where would it go?
There was no exit and only just a wall that blocked the path.
But the cat was trudging on its toes and suddenly like an astral form, it just entered through the wall without being barred.
I could only stare as the shocks kept appearing on me that I had already adapted enough.
Perhaps I was seduced, my right leg moved to step forward then followed by my left. I was now walking towards the strange wall. Fear? —
The only thing I felt right now was «interest».
Many questions popped up in my mind.
Why am I here in this place like labyrinth? What are those otherwordly eyes from an ordinary cat? How could a small being produce such aura? And how did it pass through a wall?
As my thoughts were running chaotically in my mind, I stopped a foot away from the wall.
Lifting my right arm slowly, I tried to touch it. But as if there was nothing, my hand just shot through. My curiosity was only piqued more.
I then let the whole arm entered and waved it inside perhaps there was something.
—I could feel like a brunt of wind hitting my skin.
What was out there?
I tried to step inside.
As my head slowly passed through, my legs were the first to feel an odd sensation. Something were scratching at my straight black trousers. I instinctually wanted to back off. But only just a moment of stop, I continued without hesitation.
—Bright light illuminated my vision.
As my eyes adapted to the sudden visual change, it clarified. My whole body was now inside, with long grasses poking my legs and different kinds and types of flora flourishing at the area.
The first that came into my sight was in the north. There was an enormous canyon and a majestic castle with giant walls laid on its cliff. Perhaps it was blessed by the heavens, up into the skies poured down holy light into the place, shrouding it with sacredness.
A glimmering pure white staircase was situated halfway between the golden clouds above and the canyon below, as if it the path to the heaven itself.
The river in the middle of the canyon was deep blue in color and shimmered by the reflection of the holy light. It streaked across to the west where the deep ocean resided.
A cool breeze greeted me and with leaves that trailed along it. It fluttered my uniform and gently tousled my hair.
I reveled in wonders that could only be found in fantasies.
After a time, when the shock was gone, I could finally rationalize and the sudden situation bolted me.
—After the wall is a world?!
I looked behind and the scene leapt me in shock. My butt sunk into the ground as I watched in strong trepidation to what I currently saw.
There was no longer the «wall» that I came from but a vast hole in the ground that spanned into the horizon. The depths inside of it seemed limitless.
My foot was in the edge of the land where one step forward and I would fall into the abyss. It startled me heavily.
— Could you stay calm when you thought you are safe when suddenly it changed into a mouth of a devil?
I couldn't. What I only experienced in my whole life was nothing this ridiculous and absurd. I was only a high school teenager. My horizons were only limited to a city where I belong. I never managed to ride a train or bus to go to other places in the country, much more, in an unknown world.
An immaculate and crystal clear water came from «above» and dropped down into this «abyss». As I unconsciously looked atop, there was a huge «floating land» and a «waterfall». That explained the continuous water dropping from nowhere.
My mind was in a havoc. The scenes I saw had already stupefied me. But one thought rushed in my head.
— Can I still go back?
I jolted as I looked around in all directions.
To the west where the deep ocean resided, at the opening of the river, there was a gigantic landform, a «river delta». The land had the same color as the river, deep blue but having a dark shade of it. Under the blazing light, it sparkled luminously like crystals.
I saw a silhouette of frozen palace that stood on it. The air around its structure seemed to also sparkle as dots of lights were contiously flying around it.
To the east, I could almost make out a sanguine chateau. The bloodred color of it resembled the sea of magma behind it and occasional spurts of lava from the surroundings' eight volcanoes forming a shape of octagon centralizing the chateau.
The four places in each directions: the abyss, castle, palace, and chateau; surrounded a magnificent empire in the middle. An imperial palace lied in its center with countless spectacular buildings constructed in uniform.
—You wonder why I saw everything?
The truth was, I was situated in a towering cliff. And the endless stretching green plains were in the bottom of my view.
However, even searching for a clue in everything only led me to vain.
There was no exit, door, or magical path that could let me escape here.
But there should be a way. There should be.
— The black cat.
The thought hit gravely in my mind.
Standing up in my legs, I put more a lot of energy in my search.
Where are you?
Dont let me think you're locking me inside here!
However, there were no results.
But I still dont want to give up.
I stepped my legs in the distressing grasses and stomped down on any flowers. I went eastward where it was not steep but a diagonal path.
At the elevations of ground, I slowly put down leg by leg, afraid of losing my balance from the high altitude. Holding some leverage into some rocks occasionally, I treaded with difficulty.
Until finally for a long time, I dashed down as there were no longer obstacles preventing me.
I landed in the green plains and most were flat with some hills. I looked everywhere, finding for some small black silhouette.
I kept running in prevail, persevering for a chance. This is what my past experiences telling me what to do. The constant hardships I undergo steeled my will.
I should not be helpless.
—nor
I should not lose hope.
Through the endless plain, I rove with sheer determination.
Even if I have to live here in this world —
I shall find you someday black cat!...
