Jasmine wakes up

2 days later, Yang Tian took Xiao Lingxi back to the Xiao Clan as he was sure that the guests from the Xiao Sect had gone by now. Xiao Lingxi was unconscious while she was being transported to her room.

After placing Xiao Lingxi in her room, Yang Tian went to the Xiao Lie's courtyard and spoke out in a loud voice, "Your daughter has returned!"

After that, Yang Tian quickly executed his movement skill to immediately run away. He didn't want Xiao Lie to see his face.

Xiao Lie met up with his daughter and was truly happy that she had returned unharmed. Xiao Lingxi naturally told her father about all that happened and said that she was taken away because that person wanted to protect her.

She also said that she would grow stronger… She wanted to protect her father and lessen his burden.

Xiao Lie didn't think much about that. He was just thrilled that she had returned unharmed. And with the fact that he was currently the strongest cultivator in the Floating Cloud City, not a single person would dare to bully them.

"Phew… Looks like he is pretty sensible." After Yang Tian said that, he continued to travel through the forests.

Now… Yang Tian had a single destination. The Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range!

That was the location with the Fire Seed.

After a week or so of travelling, he had nearly reached the Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range.

In this week, he could feel that Jasmine's condition within the Sky Poison Pearl was getting better. Upon further inspection, he felt that she should wake up today…

And sure enough, as he had nearly reached his destination, he felt a slight pulse within the Sky Poison Pearl.

Suddenly, the long red-haired girl with extremely fair skin appeared outside the Sky Poison Pearl. Her eyes widened slightly as she stared at Yang Tian's face.

"…No…way…! Elder Brother…?!" She was honestly stupefied upon seeing Yang Tian's face.

All sorts of thoughts were emerging in her head, but the first question which arose was, how could her elder brother be alive?! She had personally seen when he was near his death state, and he had strictly instructed her to run away… Did he have some sort of life-saving treasure or something else?

Looking at Jasmine's face, Yang Tian remained silent. He was wondering which choice should he take.

However, it took him only a couple of moments before he decided it in his heart. He stared at Jasmine's face and then said, "I am not who you think I am."

"What…?! What do you mean?!" Jasmine asked, a little anxiously.

"Your elder brother, Xisu forcefully fused his own soul with mine to allow me to live and also gave me his own body." Yang Tian said with a calm look on his face while staring at Jasmine.

Jasmine's eyes widened upon hearing this from Yang Tian. This meant that her brother's soul had merged with this person.

She stepped towards Yang Tian, with a frightening aura around her and said, "Let me read your memories. I only want to know whether my brother truly fused his own soul with you on his own accord or not…If not…" She didn't need to say anything else.

Yang Tian nodded his head, and a ruthless expression appeared on his face as he said to her, "That is acceptable. But… If you dare to read all my memories, then do not expect me to be merciless."

"And what can you do to me? How would you accomplish that?" Jasmine asked, pressuring Yang Tian with her aura while staring at him, "Even though I am very weakened, killing you is no different than killing chickens for me…"

Yang Tian said with a cold look in his eyes, "I don't take threats very well. If you dare to threaten my life again, even if you are Xisu's sister, I will still kill you! As for the way of killing you…?"

There was one thing Yang Tian didn't like. And that was someone threatening to kill him. Even if he had agreed with Xisu to protect Jasmine, he wouldn't allow her to threaten him to death. At worst, he would kill her and then kill himself just to stay to his agreement.

Yang Tian shrugged his shoulders before saying, "You are poisoned by the Absolute God Slaying Poison, I just need to throw you out of the Sky Poison Pearl to deal with you. What? Do you dare to try me?! Even if you killed me after that, you still wouldn't be able to use Sky Poison Pearl to heal yourself."

At that moment, Yang Tian felt a part of his soul tremble. He could sense that if he did kill Jasmine, it would immediately break his soul apart. However, Yang Tian remained unmoved. If this would kill him, then fine. But he really wasn't going to let someone threaten his life and not pay the consequences. If that was so, he would rather die immediately.

Jasmine stared at him for a short period. She knew that he wasn't lying about what he had just said. But Jasmine couldn't help but be displeased… She targeted Yang Tian with her killing intent, she wanted to intimidate him.

However, Yang Tian didn't even blink his eyes as he continued to stare at Jasmine, "You should realise that this is not at all effective against me since my soul has merged with your brother's soul. Now come… Check whether I am speaking the truth or not."

Jasmine was somewhat displeased with the way Yang Tian put it. It was as if she was utterly unable to intimidate him. But she didn't think about it too much… If what he said was indeed the truth, then that meant he had truly merged with her elder brother's soul.

It would also make sense why she couldn't intimidate him.

She stepped forward and touched his head, she used a small hint of her power to read Yang Tian's memories.

However, as Jasmine had started to read his memories. Jasmine's eyes twinkled a little as she felt the presence of her brother's soul. Even if it had merged with someone else, she could never forget this feeling. This was definitely her brother's soul!

After having confirmed Yang Tian's words, she didn't read any more of his memories and stopped using the technique.

Yang Tian stared at Jasmine very coldly. He was observing her very carefully as he didn't know whether she had seen his memories or not.

"Alright, I have confirmed that you were speaking the truth. My brother really did merge his soul with yours out of his own volition," Jasmine was speaking with a clear tone.

Hearing those words, Yang Tian was relieved. He knew that Jasmine hadn't seen his memories. If she had seen those memories, this wouldn't be all she had to say.

"I am Yang Tian. And what should I call you? Jasmine, or what?" Yang Tian asked her with an indifferent look. He wanted to get this over with quickly.

"You can call me Jasmine. Since you have inherited my brother's memories, I don't think you lack knowledge or skills." Jasmine said while staring at Yang Tian, who nodded in return.

"Yes. I know a lot of other things as well, so you can rest assured about that."
