Blake stared at the tabs that appeared in front of his eyes in confusion. It looked like one of those video game interface with things like level and status.

He slowly stretched his hand to touch the interface, but his hands simply passed through the tabs as if they weren't even there.

Seeing this, Blake sighed and turned his head to the ground. "To think I'm actually seeing things now…"

"Or maybe I'm right… and this is just a dream?" Blake mumbled, but deep in his consciousness, he knew that wasn't the truth.

Nothing made sense to him right now, first the day turned into night and thick dark clouds started appearing in the sky.

Then the appearance of a giant carnivorous insect… a beast. He was fortunate to not have come across any of those giant bugs while he was running, with their speed, he doubted he would even be able to blink before he died.

But despite not coming across any more giant insects, he knew what he saw before was real… the image of that giant bug with wings was as clear as day in his mind.

Then people turning into mindless zombies, everything going into chaos.

It was just like the horror movies he used to watch as a kid, back then, he used to think finding oneself in such a situation would definitely be thrilling, but now that he actually found himself in such situation, he didn't find it thrilling in the slightest. It was horror… pure horror.

He sighed and the stabbing pain in his chest started to return once more.

Different images immediately started playing in his head; The happy moments of his parents and the time they spent together, then skip to the terrified expression on his father's face right before his head was bitten of by the large-mouthed zombie.

His mothers sad and pained expression right before she turned into a zombie…

"Why…? Why did they have to die… why did they have to leave me alone…" He kept mumbling to himself with his hands tightly gripping his head as if to rip it apart.

Deep inside him, he could feel a hot bubbling feeling rising inside him.

As the images of his parents death kept flashing through his mind, he realised one common thing in their deaths—zombies.

Both of their deaths was caused by the the zombies that suddenly started appearing. If zombies had never appeared, then they would be alive… and everyone would be happy.

"Those zombies… it's all the fault of those stupid zombies…" Blake muttered to himself.

He felt angry, he was furious at the zombies for taking away the people and family that loved him away.

He honestly had no idea how he was supposed to survive alone in this world.

His vision started to dye red and his hand clawed on his head more furiously.

The hot feeling inside him grew ever more as his anger grew. He rested his hand on his on one of his knees and placed his head on it.

He an intense urge to kill the zombies that caused all this… no, he wanted to kill them.

"I will kill those zombies…" Blake mumbled to himself, with his eyes shining in a dangerous glint.

"I'll kill those zombies…" He kept muttering as he slowly stood up.

He walked towards a long, thin metal pole that laid on the ground some distance away from him.

He picked it up with his right hand and grasped it tightly before slowly walking towards the stairs, with the iron pole in the hands dragging on the floor.

He climbed down the stairs and started walking towards a corner at the right side of the building.

"It's all the fault of those zombies… I'll kill them." He mumbled. His eyes were blank and his expression was unreadable. He kept walking in a somewhat robotic manner with the long metal pole making low clinking sounds as it dragged on the floor.

After walking for a few minutes, he came came in between a narrow road with small buildings at the side.

Whether he was fortunate or just lucky, he didn't come across any more zombies on his way here, only meeting abandoned cars and materials.

He paused for a few seconds, his dull eyes which were red from tears darting around the place.

Just as he was about to turn around, a loud drawn out growl suddenly reverberated in the air, attracting his attention.

A fairly large zombie with large open mouth that dropped down to its neck appeared from the other end of the road.

Its movements were extremely slow due to the large mass of flesh that slumped down from beneath its mouth.

It slowly turned towards Blake and let out another loud disgustingly drawn out growl, before slowly walking towards him with its hands outstretched.

Blake's eyes suddenly froze the moment he saw the zombie.

Despite that the large-mouthed zombie was already slowly approaching him, he simply stood in one place, staring at it with a frozen expression.

Images of his father's head being bitten down by a large-mouthed zombie played once more in his head, and his lips trembled slightly.

"It was you…" He muttered, finally coming to a realisation. "Y-you killed him…"

Though he hadn't seen the face and figure of the zombie that killed his father clearly, he could recognise that large mouth that hung below its mouth. And that was the same zombie that was slowly coming towards him…

The hot burning feeling he felt earlier started rising within him again, and he could feel his strength slowly rising.

Blake raised the thin metal pole and pointed towards the large-mouthed zombie before slowly muttering: "I'll kill you… I'll fucking kill you…"

Right now, he wasn't thinking properly and perhaps, if his head was clearer, he would have realised how stupid and dangerous his actions could be.

However, he wasn't and his all his mind was muddled. The only thing that filled his head were thoughts of ending the life of the zombie that was slowing approaching him.

Suddenly, his dashed towards the zombie with the iron pole in his hands pulled backwards aiming for a strike.
