Chapter 9: X School

The next day

Ardyn woke up early and started to watch the news to see what was going on in the world. At first it was just more mutants are evil propaganda.

Ardyn thought 'The people who hate mutants must be the same ones that hung witches because of their powers in the past. Everyone is too scared or jealous to let others rise I guess.'

The mutants are evil propaganda stopped however. The next thing Ardyn saw was that Tony Stark was actually alive and free. That he would also hold a press conference later today.

Ardyn smiled 'Interesting it's going faster then I thought it would. I should probably pay him a visit at some point.'

Ardyn then had an iPad put in front of him. Ardyn looked up and saw Talia was handing it to him. Ardyn grabbed the iPad and started to read through. Ardyn smiled "So he told us about all the defenses, the best way to get in, an exactly how many hydra agents are inside. Good job sis."

Talia smiled and sat down on the couch "It was so much fun he honestly cracked a little too fast."

Ardyn questioned "How long?"

Talia shrugged "Just one hour."

Anna then came with breakfast for everyone. Ardyn smiled "Thanks Anna. Your the best."

Anna blushed a bit "No problem."

Talia just rolled her eyes not saying anything and just enjoying her food. Ardyn sighed "Anyways today is the day we should head to Xaivers school for the gifted."

Talia nodded "I agree."

Anna smiled "Can I come?"

Ardyn shook his head "Actually I was planning to go by myself. I'm the only one who can not have their mind read out of my group so far. Talia you should also start teaching Anna about mental defenses."

Talia sighed "I guess your right. You sure you should go by yourself?"

Ardyn nodded "Yeah worse comes to worse I activate blood lust."

Talia hit Ardyn over the head "Definitely don't do that."

Anna was about to ask but thought 'It's not really my business.'

All three then started to head to school and the day proceeded as normal. It was just another day like any other. Ardyn then headed to the fountain in the courtyard by himself. He then saw Jean and Scott just waiting there.

Ardyn waved and smiled "Hey what's up."

Jean waved back and Scott asked "Where's your sister at?"

Ardyn shrugged "Not coming she is busy. But we did not want to leave you guys hanging again. So I'm the only one going."

Scott shrugged "Whatever. Come on I will drive."

Ardyn followed Scott and Jean to Scott's car. Once they got in it was relatively a quiet ride with just some music playing. Jean then asked "So do you have any questions before we get to the school? I know you know we are mutants but any questions?"

Ardyn shook his head "Not really I will find out when I get there. I have already done a lot of research and what not."

Jean said "Oh" as she slumped back down in her seat a bit. Jean had been feeling a little guilty since she was being invasive with their minds. She understood their point of view and was trying to get it better at controlling her powers because of this.

They finally got to the school and out of the car. Ardyn whistled as he took in the whole view of the school. Ardyn nodded "Pretty big place."

Ardyn looked over towards Jean "Hey Jean did you ever tell anyone what you saw in Talias mind?"

Jean shook her head "I did not want to intrude anymore and thought it would be rude."

Ardyn nodded "It would be pretty rude to tell anyone someone else's personal memories."

Jean nodded "How about we take you to the head master before we give you a tour. He would like to meet you."

Ardyn shrugged "Sure. I can already tell that I'm being watched so might as well."

Scott looked around "What do you mean?"

Ardyn smirked "Oh so I won't hold it against you two then. Don't worry about it I'm sure the headmaster will explain it."

Scott and Jean then showed Ardyn around as they made their way to the headmasters office. Once they were finally there before Scott could even knock Charles Xaiver said "Come in."

When Ardyn entered the room he looked around. He noticed Charles in the wheel chair. To his left was Beast who Ardyn knew already but he also read many of his published works in this world because he was smart and had good idea. Then to Charles right was a beautiful African American who was clearly storm.

Jean walked up in front and said "Hello Professor this is the guy we wanted to bring you to as he caught myself trying to read his mind and then his sisters."

Charles nodded and rolled over to Ardyn. Charles put his hand out "Hello I am Charles Xaiver. Headmaster of this school. Would you like to sit down so we can talk."

Ardyn took his hand and shook it "Sure I don't mind. Names Ardyn Sephiroth. I already know who you are professor I have read a lot of your research an articles. Also why are you trying to get in my head?"

Jean looked shocked. Charles rolled back over behind his desk. Ardyn then sat down. Charles nodded and smiled "I was just seeing if it's actually true that your mind can not actually be read. It's quite remarkable."

Ardyn tilted his head back and forth "While I don't feel any pain or discomfort I am still aware when people try to get in so you might as well stop."

Charles nodded "Of course."

Ardyn sighed "So anyways who is the person to your right. I know Mr.McCoy over there as I have also read some of his research."

The African American woman smiled "I am Ororo Munroe. I am a teacher at this school."

Ardyn smiled "Well nice to meet you as well."

Charles sighed "So I understand you have a misunderstanding with Jean. I will make it fully aware now. When Jean told me about this I saw what she saw from your sister."

Ardyn eyes widen "I see that the teacher also has problems with invasion of privacy."

Charles feigned ignorance "I know about your group Ardyn I have run into them before. I do not plan on putting my students in danger."

Ardyn smirked "I don't run with them anymore. But I can definitely say we have different ideologies from what I have seen."

Charles got serious "So why are you here?"

Ardyn sighed "Well I am actually here to learn at college. But I won't divulge much more then that except for my hatred for hydra."

Charles sighed "Yes I could see that. The methods you use are definitely not something I agree with."

Ardyn shrugged "I'm literally torturing some of the worst scum on earth and you have a problem with it. Pathetic."

Ardyn could see a couple agree with his point specifically Scott and Jean but the others still seemed against it except for Ororo who seemed to be neutral.

Ardyn then sighed and continued "Also could you tell me why I was being watched this whole time even now currently."

Charles was shocked at first but then nodded in understanding "Impressive Logan come in."

Ardyn turned his head to look towards the door. He saw this man Logan who was surprisingly tall. He was also extremely well built. Ardyn assumed he had a couple inches on him. But when Ardyn looked at Logan he could see decades of battle experience. What shocked him the most however was how much he looked like Hugh Jackman. I can't believe Laura is related to him.

Charles smiled "This here is Logan he is a teacher as well, an excels at combat."

Ardyn smirked "You are pretty open right now are you sure you should be telling me all this."

Logan made some grunting sound "You think your pretty tough huh kid."

Ardyn shrugged his shoulders with his hands up "Yeah I'm not confident I would make it out alive. But I am confident about the number of casualties that would be inflicted."

Logan growled. Charles said "Calm down Logan. I don't think he is here to fight anyways."

Ardyn nodded "You're right. Quick question though Logan do you have a daughter?"

Logan eyes widened in shock. He immediately lunged forward at Ardyn unleashing his claws. Ardyn smiled seeing the same claws except he had three on each hand not two. Ardyn was able to pull out his sword Masamune in time. How ever when Ardyn blocked he could see Logan's claws tearing through it.

The other X-men there tried to react fast to stop him. However Logan's claw on the edge of Ardyns sword was going through to fast and Ardyn got stabbed in his right ribs.

Ardyn let out an audible gasp as just when he was about to get stabbed in his other side bye Logan's other hand Hank McCoy or beast was able to rip Logan off him and hold him down.

Ardyn let out another gasp as it has been awhile since he had felt this much pain. Jean, Ororo, and surprisingly Scott went up to him to give him immediate medical treatment.

Ardyn however just started to laugh out loud. Causing the other three to flinch and stop their movements. Ardyn then stood up as if he was not just stabbed in the ribs.

Jean quickly said "Ardyn you should sit down and let us treat you."

Ardyn finished laughing and said "I'm fine take a look."

Everyone audibly gasped as they could slowly see Ardyn's wound healing at a slow rate but still extremely fast compared to everyone else.

Ardyn started to laugh again "Hey Scott take me home. I think I'm done seeing this pathetic place."

Ardyn then looked at Charles Xaiver "And Professor keep your mad dog on a tighter leash. Just make sure you stay the fuck out of my way. I'm not a pacifist."
